> 3 dayMy daughter has been very into playing The Sims and that is what we bought this for. It works perfectly. It’s nice and big and we had no problems downloading the game and expansion packs, which I was a little nervous about.

10-06-2025Im an engineer who has been using company-provided laptops, bought to my spec, for many years. This time I was spending my own money, to buy one for my daughter for school, so I wanted a solid school-appropriate laptop that wasnt some crippleware nightmare. This really fits the bill.

Greater than one weekThis laptop has been a good fit for our aging mother who only needs something to access accounts and send emails. No issue with anything thus far, and anticipate it serving her well for a long time. The one thing i wish we would have thought of was to get one with a CD drive since she still has a good number of CD’s she likes to listen to. Nothing an external drive wouldn’t fix, but still.

> 3 dayWindows in S mode does not support Zoom. You will need to disable S mode for video conferencing. The Ryzen 3 processor cannot support virtual backgrounds so you won’t be able to blur your background for meetings. I would not recommend this laptop for any professional use.

> 3 dayI am writing this review after using my laptop for about 6 months. I switched over from a chromebook that was fine for the jobs it needed to do in college, but not great at all the video calls in this era. I will say that I am pleased by the general functions of the laptop. There is a numeric keypad on the right side that I cannot figure how to turn on, so its kind of useless right now. Granted, my cats step on my keyboard here and there so they may have triggered something. My main complaint about the laptop is that the mousepad is slightly off-center to the left. I feel this would be a leftys dream, but that is not me. It is a little annoying to use. If I had to use my laptop more heavily, I would probably invest in a wireless mouse. However, I use my laptop for general browsing and video calls, so I am fine putting up with it.
