> 3 dayGot this for my 12 year old son as an upgrade to a 4 year old Acer computer that started to not work well for him while playing Roblox and Steam games as he said they were laggy I was looking for something that wouldnt break the bank and found this one on sale and after seeing positive reviews, decided to go with it. Received a couple days earlier than expected and my son set it up and installed his games but then the problems started. He got a blue screen and it restarted the first night and again the second day. He then complained that if he got on a call on Discord the sound would mute on Roblox or get scratchy on YouTube videos something that didnt happen with the old laptop. I tried some things to fix and had it restart and crash on me too. Eventually did a live chat with Acer Support who suggested some more changes which did not resolve the audio issues and it crashed again for the 4th time in 3 days. Decided to return it and look for a more expensive laptop from a different manufacturer as I have found time and time again that you get what you pay for so dont be cheap and try to find a bargain basement priced gaming laptop

> 3 dayI bought this computer in July 2022 to use with my Cricut. I had problems setting it up from the beginning so I called the number on the Amazon brochure (for Acer). This was July 18th. I was told that there is no warranty and was transferred to a “service department” to someone who barely spoke English. The computer would not stay connected to my Internet, the bluetooth mouse would not stay connected ( tried 2 different devices). They troubleshooted and it worked for a while until I tried to install apps. The internet problem continued and because of the interruptions, I had to keep uninstalling the apps and reinstalling them. When I finally was able to install one app, it said that the computer needed to restart, and it did BUT when the computer came back on, it said there was an error and it kept restarting until I restarted it. I called again on 8/1/22 and they did troubleshooting and I wiped everything off of the computer and started fresh. The same thing kept happening and I got so frustrated that I put it away until my old laptop croaked and I had no choice but to deal with it. I started all over and the same issues kept happening so I called again on 10/31/22 and they said that I needed to send the computer to the repair shop in TEXAS (I live in Maryland), so I wrapped the laptop in 3” of bubblewrap and put it inside a giant padded envelope and sent it to Texas. This was the ONLY choice they gave me to repair it and replacement was NOT an option. On 11/16/22 I got an email from the repair center with a photo saying that the screen was cracked and it would cost $380 to fix the cracked screen. I told them that I didn’t even pay $380 for the computer and they basically said “too bad.” I told them to throw the piece of junk in the garbage, and they did. I cannot get my $ back because too much time has gone by. I’m out almost $400. DO NOT BUY THIS COMPUTER

> 3 dayI got this to replace my aging Acer, which could no longer be updated. It has most of the features that I had loved but not the combination of the backlit keyboard and touch screen (I had to give up the touch screen). Its more sleek than the previous model but doesnt seem as sturdy. The screen seems unstable/flexible when opening it such that I feel like if I pulled up on only one corner, I could crack it (at the hinges or the screen itself).
