> 3 dayOnce the initial setup is done this baby runs like a dream. I know, its expensive, but well worth the money, at least to me. Connectors are solid and light placement are better than on the AX. Wireless channel settings are precise to the point of being almost magical. The unit is warm, but Id rather it use heatsinks instead of a fan (dust magnet).

> 3 dayI had a set of the ZenWifi XT8s (Triband Wifi 6 = no 6ghz). Got this to boost wifi in the house AND get the 10gbe ports for LAN use. (Streaming from a NAS, etc.). Its overkill, but I wanted to transfer files fast. I followed DongKnowsTech dot com and had the Mesh setup pretty quickly. Did have to restart everything a few times, but no biggie. Upgraded firmware to latest and set up network. Everything is working fine, EXCEPT the 10gbe ports seem finnicky. To be more specific, they seem to slow down over time. I can reboot the router, and get 950mbps, but after awhile, it will drop to 800, then 650, etc. This is WAN btw. I really have not test LAN speed, but appears to be pretty quick. A quick reboot of the router fixes the issue temporarily. I installed the latest Merlin firmware, and the issue seems to persist. I am thinking this will be fixed in a future firmware release, but who knows. Frankly, however, there is no real world difference between 600 mbps and 900. They are both plenty fast. You do want to get what you are paying your ISP for though. Wifi is great, even though we only have one device (a laptop) in the house capable of 6ghz (Wifi 6e). Otherwise, the main purpose of this (for me) is the Multi-gigabit LAN capability and AiMesh compatability. I have this paired with a TRENDnet TEG-S762 10g switch to feed the AiMesh nodes at 2.5g. All cables are Cat 8 (supposedly). Overall, a very powerful router, although expensive. I feel it should serve my purposes for 5-7 years before everything is switched over to Wifi 7.

Greater than one weekJust up dated from Rapture GT11000 to 16000 it’s fast works great running in mesh mode speeds of 960 and Wi-Fi 760mb on spectrum 1 GB service 32 devices and 4k streaming Should say GT 11000 would do same. Rapture 16000 have couple new features and 10 GB ports but needed mesh system for garage Like both units great routes only money right, surely recommended

> 3 dayGreat interface with a lot of really nice options, including DoT connection setup and auto-detection of the LAN ports. Fairly easy to set up, though a bit challenging to find some of the information if you wish to manually set it up on your network - Defaults to 192.168.50.1.

> 3 dayWhen I read the reviews before buying, I noticed you either get a good one, or one that will likely have issues, so the best advice I can offer is try it out and monitor its performance before any return window expires. I first bought this model from a deal with a different vendor, and sure enough, that one had real issues, so I returned it and got this one from Amazon. From the reviews, it appears people who engage the asus customer support are the most thrilled with them, so thats why I suggest the approach above. I have no experience with asus support, so I cant comment further on experiences going that route. So back to the router:

Greater than one weekI bought this router because I was tired of using my cable companys and paying a fee. The wifi is great throughout my two story house. It is very user friendly and easy to settup. You also have so much control at your fingertips for network security and allocating speeds throughout your home.
