> 3 dayI bought this to upgrade a previous router I had, I also purchased a separate modem to upgrade to the latest DOCSIS 3.1 standard the local cable company was pushing through their system. Wi-Fi has been holding steady and very fast, I have had no disconnects as of yet. The size of the router is very large, but when compared to the EA 9500 Max Stream, its very comparable. When I plugged my pc into the LAN port, wifi was getting 300Mbps, I was very impressed and it has held strong since I bought it, however, my pc wasnt getting these speeds, in fact, it was getting 30Mbps. After searching the interwebs high and low almost on the verge of thinking I had bad LAN ports, I figured out the problem laid inside the settings of my pc and 400Mbps started kicking out. The router has many settings that are easily accessible through both the web interface and the mobile app, I dont utilize nearly half the stuff on there as I was just wanting strong wifi and I guess nice RGB LOL. All in all, very good router, for those that had duds or think it sucks, my experience was far from it after I figured out what was wrong with my pc. I try not to blame the hardware before searching far and wide that it wasnt user error because most of the time, user error prevails.

> 3 dayAfter several months of working fine, the router went into a state of constantly rebooting. I did multiple factory resets, rolled back firmware, but to no avail. Researched the problem and found it has something to do with some unfixable Linux artifacts. Basically, there’s nothing that can be done. So now I have a very expensive brick. Beware.

> 3 dayIt’s overkill (and expansive) for my personal usage but I particularly like the application to leverage the usb drive and reduce the ping for games. The wifi coverage is just amazing. The signal stay full bars everywhere in my cottage house and everywhere in the yard.

> 3 dayGot the device today. It worked originally then I changed it to 2.5 GB port and it stopped working. Even after factory resetting 5 times the device doesn’t work, I get no internet. ASUS tech support told me to return it. Googling online shows people with older modems have the same issue - DHCP problem. Wasted hours of my time and disappointed

> 3 dayComing from a GT-AC5300 and the difference is night and day. Speeds are stable and the addition of a 6ghz network is great.

> 3 dayAs we have 7 children on all kinds of devices it was a no brainer to get something like the Asus to help connect to the internet

> 3 dayI actually got a laundry basket in the mail instead and had to go through a whole return process with Amazon. My friend tried and bought this and I helped him connect it. The web GUI sucks. The WiFi was worse than the Fiber modem AT&T gave him with his service. The dual WAN feature didnt work. Buggy as all hell. He ended up returning this thing.

> 3 dayForced to return the router, have used ROG Gaming Notebooks for years now, my rig is 2 years old has the 2nd best graphics, fully functional and upgraded. ASUS has a disclaimer that says you need current version of Wi-fi driver to prevent crashes and drops. Doc dated 5/22 from ASUS, The doc points to an Intel link that after downloading drivers, getting errors & calling support, you find that Intel discontinued support for the devices 11/22 ! ASUS VIP Support was called & after repeatedly giving the serial number then confirmation, was told they couldn’t find the product & got hung up on. Just wanted to upgrade my Nighthawk RAXE450 for additional bandwidth and the supposed Lifetime protection. Wrong, now it’s a toss up who’s worse for support. So you spend money on a high end rig, upgrade & are left to the vendor & MegaSloth MS, to force an awesome rig into being obsolete. The death of PC gaming from corporate greed again.

> 3 dayI loved it but the AXE11000 does not have VPN mobile app settings. You have to go to your browser & log into the router to adjust VPN settings. Other ASUS routers that i have do have VPN mobile app settings. Other than that i recommend.

> 3 dayThis router was a joke for covering a 1700 SQ FT home. For $500 dollars, you think you would get a decent product? Go with an AX TP Link, that does the job significantly better.
