But, it’s not for me. I miss the reliability of my Ruckus access points as well as the coverage and range. My speed with the ruckus APs is about 200-400mbps. With the ASUS it’s 500-700mbps which is great but honestly I can just wire anything I really need fast speeds for.

If youre buying something that does what this does for as much as it costs, I would expect you to have some technical or at least troubleshooting skills. It has plug and go capability, but to get the full effective usefulness out of it, youre gonna need to find and turn on a couple switches in the Admin menu.

Even though the price is steep $545 at the time I Payed. if you want 6Ghz wifi Router with tons of features and good Range. I BUY IT. If you have the coin to get. I also bought the router to Serve me for the 10 years+ I say that because of the 6Ghz Band which is still fairly New and not a lot of Devices dont use it YET but it will keep Evolving over next 10-15 Years. I personally Really like the LED RGB light on top and customize with in ASUS APP. Ive had the Router for a month now things are great I do a lot of TV Streaming on AMAZON 4K MAX Wi-Fi 6 FireStick i have 6x. my House is 3600qt Foot.

Very buggy router. Frequent disconnects with some or all clients requiring restart of the router.

This router is fast and has all the bells and whistles but when it came to connecting to Verizon fios the 2.5gb port does not work correctly. I would get 1gb download over ethernet but my upload was only about 0.3 mbs almost no upload. When I reached out to asus customer support to me to change a wifi setting and when I told him wifi settings wont help o. A wired connection he told to to just keep an eye on it and disconnected the chat. I found a work around d and its to use a regular 1gb port under dual Lan and some one said the second 10gb port works as well. I tried the first 10gb port and it did not work. Anyway love the router hate the customer service and cant believe a product that cost this much could get away with this major issue.

I replaced my GT-AX11000 with this to take advantage of the 5.9 ghz band for my wireless backhaul setup with four ZenWifi XT8s as nodes, which are UNII-4 compliant with the more recent firmware versions. Previously I was using the 160 MHz band with DFS channels enabled for my wireless backhaul, and I was experiencing chronic issues with the nodes dropping offline, along with other speed issues and roaming inconsistencies on the 5gHz 1 band.

I bought this to upgrade a previous router I had, I also purchased a separate modem to upgrade to the latest DOCSIS 3.1 standard the local cable company was pushing through their system. Wi-Fi has been holding steady and very fast, I have had no disconnects as of yet. The size of the router is very large, but when compared to the EA 9500 Max Stream, its very comparable. When I plugged my pc into the LAN port, wifi was getting 300Mbps, I was very impressed and it has held strong since I bought it, however, my pc wasnt getting these speeds, in fact, it was getting 30Mbps. After searching the interwebs high and low almost on the verge of thinking I had bad LAN ports, I figured out the problem laid inside the settings of my pc and 400Mbps started kicking out. The router has many settings that are easily accessible through both the web interface and the mobile app, I dont utilize nearly half the stuff on there as I was just wanting strong wifi and I guess nice RGB LOL. All in all, very good router, for those that had duds or think it sucks, my experience was far from it after I figured out what was wrong with my pc. I try not to blame the hardware before searching far and wide that it wasnt user error because most of the time, user error prevails.

I bought this router for its traffic monitoring and QoS features. But when I received it today and set it up, I discovered that in order to enable those (and other) features, you must consent to third-party data collection.

Upgraded from Asus AC3200. Signal strength is good. It can handle the entire home. 6GHz band does not work at this moment at least with Intel AX210 card that I installed on my laptop. Perhaps a firmware update and driver update in the next few months will address this issue.

The trailblazing ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000 is the world"s very first quad-band WiFi 6E gaming router, delivering incredible speeds of up to 16000 Mbps. We"ve unlocked the full potential of the four frequency bands — 2.4 GHz, two 5 GHz bands, and 6 GHz to bring you the fastest speeds possible.
