I have on laptop that supports the 6e Wi-Fi protocol and about 25 and through at least one wall I am getting the full 800Mbs speed over Wi=Fi. I also have a total of about 35 devices hardwired and Wi-Fi and all is working well using an aimesh router in my garage. I was getting signal drops with my previous router and this one has been rock solid. Only down side is the cost.

This is no router for the weak at heart as it has all the features of a power router thats lighting fast. I gave the GT-AXE16000 router five stars on everything except HMI Interface which is straight forward but very detailed for the average user to poke into and still a very good PC IP control system. My IP provided service is at 300 mbps and clocked off their modem at 345 mbps and my all my Wi-Fi connections are a solid 300+ mbps. I also have two new 8K QLED TV that I streamed an 8k demo off Youtube with NO problems with bandwidth and a steady 8k resolution which is also amazing. I have about 8 to 10 steady WiFi connections all can be heavy streamed as well. The Lan ports are also dazzling as mbps from my power 4k gaming PC has no difference with the IP providers speeds. This speedy router has amazing features and provides a color show at night that makes the lightning term even more appropriate.

Maybe a gamer would notice a difference but I tried this one and the one that is a tier lower (black and orangish color) and couldnt notice any difference. I also tried the TP AX1100, which was less than half the price of this one, and again, I couldnt tell any difference. For me, I was hoping the high-end routers would give me a better range, but all of them provided essentially the same signal at the same distances from the router. Ended up with the TP and just got a repeater to extend the range since none of them would reach all the way to the other end of the house.

Their FAQ suggests windows users to wait H221 (read H122 ?) until Win10 gains some needed support and Intel cranks out drivers. No luck under Linux with kernel 5.11 either -- the signal is abysmally weak and no connection.

I had the AX-11000 router before this one. I dont have any devices that have 6e, so I decided to go with this router instead of paying more for something I currently dont have a use for. Ill wait till wifi 7 to be mainstream before I upgrade again.

Have this setup in mesh with four other RT-AX86S in ethernet backhaul mode through a 8-port 2.5G switch. The interface was really laggy and slow pre-3.0.0.4.388.22525, so make sure you update to the latest 3.0.0.4.388.22525 firmware. Other than that no complaints, 600Mbps+ WiFi throughout every corner of a 4 story building. Then I turn around and see ASUS announcing WiFi 7 routers…cant keep up…

I got this router as an upgrade to have 6ghz functionality, ethernet connected to the AX6000 Aimesh node. So far it has worked without issue.

Id like to see 4 gigs of Ram as it uses 60% + of the stock 2 gigs right out the door...

I love this product. The RGB lighting is pretty cool matching my gaming area. The product is sturdy. I liked the signal that it can put out making this product one of the best routers I have ever purchased compared to Nighthawk routers.

The trailblazing ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000 is the world"s very first quad-band WiFi 6E gaming router, delivering incredible speeds of up to 16000 Mbps. We"ve unlocked the full potential of the four frequency bands — 2.4 GHz, two 5 GHz bands, and 6 GHz to bring you the fastest speeds possible.
