> 24 hourAfter reading some of the negative reviews, I was hesitant about ordering this monitor, but I decided to just give it a try, and if I didnt like it, I would return it. I have been using this monitor for months now, and I have zero problems with it. There is no image ghosting at all when I watch movies. All of the text on the screen are super clear and sharp. And I didnt have a problem scaling up texts and icons in Windows 10 to 200% so everything isnt super tiny. I think all the negative reviewers had problems with their graphics cards or PC, or they are just computer illiterate. The little multi-function joystick button on the back of the monitor is very easy to use, and I havent had any problems with it. I hardly ever used the joystick button after the initial setup, since the monitor turns on and off with my PC. I use this monitor to watch movies all day everyday, and play videogames. And the picture quality and refresh rate is great. I have played Counter Strike Global Offensive on it, as well as Borderlands 3, and Cyberpunk 2077, and other games on it, and I have had zero problems at all. If youve had an ASUS monitor before, it is pretty much the same thing, with the same bezel design, the same material for the screen, except it is a lot larger, and has a higher DPI. I like the single joystick button in the back, which keeps me from having to feel around for the correct button to push. I give this monitor a 10 out of 10. And at 200 dollars it is a great deal. I would recommend this product to friends and family.

> 24 hourIve had this monitor for a year and a week. You get what you pay for and Id like to divest myself of this one. The PC has an Intel Core i7-12700K and is using onboard graphics, which probably makes a difference here. Since opening this monitor, it has been a piece of hot junk. Pixels, sometimes individual, sometimes one row, sometimes 8 rows, act like theyre frozen and flash and change which rows are stuck. This isnt uncommon on a new 4k monitor to a much lesser extent, but it went away on my LG after a couple months and has only gotten worse on this thing with time. It has never ever recognized a displayport cable, always saying no signal, and Ive tried 3. In the last month, the screen started going black for 5 seconds at a time at random intervals. I might try a new HDMI cable to see if that solves anything, but I had really wanted to use the dp. The trick of power cycling the monitor with the cable in doesnt work. When I first opened it, HDMI 1 didnt really want to cooperate. I used HDMI 2 for a while until I tried switching ports to see if I could get the pixel insanity to stop, but they both produce the problem. I also rather hate that the thing has no options except to control brightness. It is super finicky to turn off. If you try to turn it off after the screen has gone into standby, you get back to the display selection and cant turn the monitor off from there. Honestly the monitor defaults to display selection when it gets overwhelmed. The comments about the narrow viewing angle are accurate. The thing is wildly fuzzy if you stand up and look down at it or are seated at too low an angle. It does have a decent tilt range for adjustment, but it isnt particularly sharp no matter what. Letters have a very noticeable halo always. There is a good chance that I am going to take the thing in to be recycled and buy a new one because no one deserves the torture of troubleshooting this piece of junk. Usually Asus monitors are fine, but avoid this like the plague for a pc.

> 24 hour[Update on 1/22/2021] VGA to HDMI Adapter (please see below for a reason I had to get it) arrived and used it. Yup! That worked fine! The fact that the display port quit working sucked but I am quite happy with the monitor. Overall, it is a great monitor. I dont play games on it so I cannot rate on that. I use it for two purposes. As a 2nd monitor for my Mac and as a normal monitor for my PC. For 2 days, the display port was working but on and off. On the 3rd day, it quit working. I used an HDMI cord that came with the monitor, it works fine. Unfortunately, my PC (very old) doesnt have any HDMI ports but VGA and Display so I order an adaptor for the VGA port. -> VGA to HDMI Adapter Converter with Audio,(PC VGA Source Output to TV/Monitor with HDMI Connector),FOINNEX Active Male VGA in Female HDMI 1080p Video Dongle adaptador for Computer,Laptop,Projector Havent received it yet so I will report how it goes when it arrives.

> 24 hourIt really is a great monitor, but the fact that it doesnt have sound output, in case you want to listen or play a game that doesnt need the Headset, leaves a lot to be desired!

> 24 hourI bought this monitor to play on my PS4 and for upcoming PS5. Looks great. Going from a 32” to a 28” screen is great. More room on my desk. Just an FYI, or a “buyer beware” this monitor does not support HDR for PS4 Pro settings. Kind of a bummer but picture still looks great.

> 24 hourIt might just be that Im upgrading from a 1080p from 2010, but I am quite satisfied. Nice and dark, great response, good connectivity, and the control nub on the back is easier to use than I expected. Text (and everything else) nice and clear. As a bonus, it even has a much smaller stand than my older, smaller monitor, freeing up a good bit of desk space. I havent seen any of the mentioned issues, using an Nvidia GPU. I did have an issue where half the screen was solid black when I first turned it on. Turns out, this was an Nvidia issue, and a simple driver update fixed it.

> 24 hourI have another similarly priced Samsung monitor and wanted a dual set up so I decided to try this one. The Samsung blows this out the water with the quality of colors, most notably the depth of blacks. Both monitors offer a crisp picture with this one ever so slightly edging the Samsung out with finer details sometimes. Other than that it has worked flawlessly since purchased which was almost a year ago so no complaints there. Its definitely a decent monitor considering the price point but there are other options I would explore if or when it comes time to purchase again.

> 24 hourI love Acer monitors and I will gladly buy another Acer product in the future. Even so, the minute I plugged this monitor in I got a bad feeling. Out of the box the colors were very washed out, like Easter egg pastels against medium gray (what should be black.) I adjusted all the settings. Then I finally found out the monitor has a 1000:1 contrast ratio. Thats great for a 2014 era monitor, but not nearly good enough for modern software development or movie viewing. Entire sections of my development website are almost unviewable. Also as others have noted, the viewing angle makes it impossible to see one color across the whole screen. Black has a gradient into muddy dark green wherever I tilt my head. I want to be clear that I love Acer and their monitors. Ive been happily using an Acer S236HL for years and it has worked flawlessly. The contrast of that 5yr old monitor is immensely superior to this. The VP28UQG is also well built, no dead pixels, crisp. Bright. The build quality is fine. But IMO its unusable. Just wanted to spare any other coders who might be rushing to pick up a 4K monitor for remote work.

> 24 hourThis monitor is great. Ive had it about 10 months now and just thought I would leave a review... When I first unboxed it I thought it was way to big for a monitor. I upgraded from a 22 and let me just say.. this is perfect! Not super massive, but definitely not small. Perfect for sitting a foot or so away.. you can see everything in shooter games. I play a lot of shooters (Destiny, PUBG, CoD), and I swear I can see the entire screen without moving my eyes at all. Works great with my PS4 Pro and PC. Only downside is the base. You can only move it up and down, no side to side. Still for the price, its amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
