> 3 dayThis happens to be my second monitor I’ve ever used for Xbox gaming, both from Asus, however one was a 2013 model 23 inch HD monitor. Ive had previous sed monitor until just a week ago when I decided to upgrade to 4K. No problems at all out of the first one for all of these years daily use, however with this one I have but only one issue. This one has wonderful picture quality, no HDR, but that is a small thing, wonderful value for such a nice monitor. The only issue is I encounter random white static flickering towards the top of the screen, which is doable, but I am very concerned the monitor is already toward a bad spot in terms of life. I have read previous reviews stating a similar white flickering which is a bit disheartening, I truly hope this is a fixable issue. Thanks- Jose.

Greater than one weekThis is a great monitor, dont get discouraged by the negative reviews! I encountered a lot of the problems mentioned in the negative reviews but got this thing running finely tuned with no flickering or image issues. ASUS gives you a lot of adjustments and settings on the OSD with the ability to save four profiles but none of the presets are that great out of the box and require some additional tweaking for the best picture. ASUS should have this more fine tuned when it leaves the factory for better plug and play compatibility...take note ASUS! The hardware you connect this to also makes a big difference, heres how my journey has gone since purchasing: I bought this (April 2020) to be a primary monitor that ran off a slightly older MSI gaming laptop with a nVidia GT 765M 2GB connected using the display port cable. This is where I encountered most of my problems with flickering and instability as the GT 765M was not able to handle the 3840 x 2160 resolution even with the laptop screen turned off. I gained the stability by turning the resolution down to 1920 x 1080 and by using the nVidia Recommended settings in the nVidia Control Panel. I found that tinkering with too many of these settings also resulted in flickering and blackouts. Not satisfied with this arrangement I recently decided to sell the MSI laptop and build a new micro atx tower (loved the laptop but always have been more a desktop fan because you have more upgrade options). My new tower has a Intel 10th Gen Core i3 chip with the built-in UHD Graphics 630 which has plenty of power to run this monitor at the full 3840 x 2160 resolution. UHD videos on Netflix and Disney+ look amazing and run smoothly. At the end of the day though its really dependent on the video or picture source, this also has a huge impact on the final quality (check out some of the 4K and 8K videos on YouTube while your adjusting and fine tuning the settings on the monitor). Colors look great and pop and the off viewing angles are great as well. After being on the two aforementioned systems, here are the monitor settings that I currently use: GameMode Blue Light Filter - Level 0 Brightness - 75 Contrast - 75 Saturation - 55 Color Temp - User Mode R-95 G-100 B-100 Skin Tone - Natural Smart View - OFF Sharpness - 50 (Already a high res monitor, too much decreases image quality) Trace Free - 60 (Already a high res monitor, too much decreases image quality) VividPixel - 25 (Already a high res monitor, too much decreases image quality) ASCR - ON Adaptive Sync/FreeSync - OFF (Graphics card on order, will update after install) GamePlus - OFF These are a good starting point for your initial setup (be sure to save your profile in one of the four available) or if your struggling to find a good combination. Obviously your system and personal tastes will vary and additional tweaking may be required. Cons: - The included stand has limited adjustment, it can only tilt the screen. Im assuming ASUS did this keep the cost low and most gamers will just mount on an arm anyways...I did and love it! - No USB connectors which I personally find convenient (bought a 4 port USB 3.0 hub for my desk) - Brightness could be better but most gamers probably wont mind, typically playing in darker environments. Hope this helps! (Updated 8/28/2020)

Greater than one weekJust setting up two of these displays to support my futures trading. With these monitors (and likely most others)—MAC OS is unfortunately not plug and play compatible in terms of resolution—you will get blurry text and images. Im not an expert with this issue... but, since Im running two displays off my MacBook Pro, I also purchased a USB 3.0 to Dual HDMI Adapter manufactured by UNSTINCER — https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08C24523X?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details MAC OS INCOMPATIBILITY SOLUTION: With this adapter connected to one USB port of the MacBook Pro and then to two displays—magic happens with resolution—the resulting text and images are crisp, clean and aligned. ONE EXCEPTION: The displays stand is one height only—no up/down adjustment. While my setup can accommodate as is, be sure to consider this issue prior to purchasing or your fix might need to be a stack of books. Otherwise, this being just day one, they appear to be solid value displays—if any issues arise, Ill return to update my review.

> 3 dayI bought this monitor specifically for my Xbox One X. I used to have a Benq monitor but crossed over to the ASUS and I’m pleased with it. The picture quality in my opinion is about an 8/10 ( I’m basing this off of playing COD WWII and random 4K YouTube videos . 1ms response time on a 4K gaming monitor is pretty amazing too. I’ve noticed better results in my gaming . If you’re ever playing an FPS game and you know you have the skill set to perform well and a good internet connection but people are still getting the jump on you then this will definitely remedy those issues . The only issue I’m having is that free-sync is grayed out and is not even able to be used . I feel if a product is marketing this as an option you should be able to use it. I also wish I would have kicked in the extra money to get the more adjustable version . I feel the monitor sits kind of low . It’s a good monitor and I would recommend if you’re on the fence

> 3 dayI bought this monitor to play on my PS4 and for upcoming PS5. Looks great. Going from a 32” to a 28” screen is great. More room on my desk. Just an FYI, or a “buyer beware” this monitor does not support HDR for PS4 Pro settings. Kind of a bummer but picture still looks great.

> 3 dayI got this monitor to connect to my MacBook while working at my desk. I dont do gaming so I cant comment on this as a gaming monitor but for productivity it has worked out really well. Other reviews have said that there are clarity and picture quality issues but I have seen no issue what so ever at this point. The picture is clear and sharp at 4k 60Hz. The color is good and has plenty of brightness. I do some picture editing and this monitor is working well for those functions. Overall recommended.

> 3 dayI work a lot of hours from a home office and run 2xUHD and 2xHD monitors on my dev machine. My Sceptre UHD recently failed and unfortunately that model is no longer available. I figured I would go with Asus, a brand name I know. and I regret that decision immensely. First off, when compared to my Sceptre (which I got for about 2/3 the price of this), the picture quality is absolutely terrible. I find smaller fonts difficult to read and there are various dark areas on the screen which makes the entire picture look wavy. I could not get the Display Port connection to work due to their ignorant menu button design. The stand is unattractive as well, although thats hardly the basis for my bad review. If I end up getting the DP to work and picture quality improves, Ill update my review accordingly, but until then this was too much money for a sub-par product. In summary, I miss my old Sceptre, which was cheap and may not have lasted as long as other brands, but at least the picture quality was incredible. Asus as a brand has been letting me down more and more over the years and I have a feeling this will be my last purchase of one of their products. Each and every day I feel more and more like buying products on Amazon is akin to buying on eBay, where you just cross your fingers and hope the ways in which the seller took advantage of you are ones that you can overcome. In the case of this monitor, there is no way I am going to spend the rest of my year working in front of this screen. My eyeballs already ache from the strain of trying to discern letters in this review as I type.

> 3 dayWell for starters, this monitor is pretty great and can deliver some pretty stunning visuals. I upon buying this monitor was kind of upset upon unboxing it and playing with it, that is because I needed to make a ton of adjustments and figure out why I was getting such bad screen tearing...Turns out my graphics card wasnt setup to do what I wanted it to do. So that meant that I needed to do some research and learn a little more about the monitors functions as well, but after it was amazing!

Greater than one weekThis Asus monitor has the highest resolution I could find in a monitor under $5000. The visuals are stunning. It powers on quickly and has features to let you delay when it would go to sleep. I am very pleased with these monitors (I bought two and have them side by side as external monitors for my laptop.
