> 24 hourI work a lot of hours from a home office and run 2xUHD and 2xHD monitors on my dev machine. My Sceptre UHD recently failed and unfortunately that model is no longer available. I figured I would go with Asus, a brand name I know. and I regret that decision immensely. First off, when compared to my Sceptre (which I got for about 2/3 the price of this), the picture quality is absolutely terrible. I find smaller fonts difficult to read and there are various dark areas on the screen which makes the entire picture look wavy. I could not get the Display Port connection to work due to their ignorant menu button design. The stand is unattractive as well, although thats hardly the basis for my bad review. If I end up getting the DP to work and picture quality improves, Ill update my review accordingly, but until then this was too much money for a sub-par product. In summary, I miss my old Sceptre, which was cheap and may not have lasted as long as other brands, but at least the picture quality was incredible. Asus as a brand has been letting me down more and more over the years and I have a feeling this will be my last purchase of one of their products. Each and every day I feel more and more like buying products on Amazon is akin to buying on eBay, where you just cross your fingers and hope the ways in which the seller took advantage of you are ones that you can overcome. In the case of this monitor, there is no way I am going to spend the rest of my year working in front of this screen. My eyeballs already ache from the strain of trying to discern letters in this review as I type.

> 24 hourI didnt have any intention to buy a glossy screen. There was no clear statement about whether the screen is glossy or matte and all pictures didnt show its glossiness. Maybe its not very glossy but still glossy and will reflect some light and image from your back. There is also an extreme disadvantage about selecting input from multiple sources. There is no way to disable auto-select or fix the input source. You need to press buttons 3 or 4 times to switch the input source you want again and again if you switch your the input source on/off and there is another input source always on. This is very annoying and its possible this will shorten the button lifetime quickly as well.

> 24 hourThis screen has amazing clarity and a great picture, when it’s working. I selected this particular monitor because the reviews said it worked great connected to a MacBook. While it works 80% of the time, the other 20% it either looks like this, doesn’t “wake up”, or becomes very pixelated (mainly when I navigate to certain websites). I’m disappointed because I really wanted this screen to work. But I’ve had it less than a month and I’m already having problems.

> 24 hourFor whatever reason, it flickers. Two of my friends got this and raved about it. Overall its great and I love it but the flickering is annoying and painful on the eyes. The first one I exchanged, maybe just a defect, but happens on the replacement too. Ran the same settings as my friends, they dont have the issue, I do. Kind of sad since its supposed to help your eyes. Been through everything I could to figure it out but nothing. Changed settings on the monitor and my xbox for hours to no avail. Ill deal with it I guess...

> 24 hourAfter a several month of use I am pretty satisfied with this monitor. I just needed a larger no frills monitor for coding and conferencing. My biggest complaint is that for a monitor with so many setting to protect your eyes from blue light, whenever my computer turns off or goes to suspend the screen goes completely, blindingly bright blue which defeats all the settings to protect your eyes, and your sleep. My second point of contention is its poor design. For such a large monitor there is only one VESA mount, and it is in a curved, circular recess (and used by the foot stand which you cant piggy-back on). You cant really mount a mini pc on the back which is so common these days even with an extension.

> 24 hourI bought this monitor to play on my PS4 and for upcoming PS5. Looks great. Going from a 32” to a 28” screen is great. More room on my desk. Just an FYI, or a “buyer beware” this monitor does not support HDR for PS4 Pro settings. Kind of a bummer but picture still looks great.

> 24 hourI bought this monitor specifically for my Xbox One X. I used to have a Benq monitor but crossed over to the ASUS and I’m pleased with it. The picture quality in my opinion is about an 8/10 ( I’m basing this off of playing COD WWII and random 4K YouTube videos . 1ms response time on a 4K gaming monitor is pretty amazing too. I’ve noticed better results in my gaming . If you’re ever playing an FPS game and you know you have the skill set to perform well and a good internet connection but people are still getting the jump on you then this will definitely remedy those issues . The only issue I’m having is that free-sync is grayed out and is not even able to be used . I feel if a product is marketing this as an option you should be able to use it. I also wish I would have kicked in the extra money to get the more adjustable version . I feel the monitor sits kind of low . It’s a good monitor and I would recommend if you’re on the fence
