> 24 hourIf you want a beasty ferro rod, this is it. Im sure theres something on the market that throws SLIGHTLY better sparks, but for the price, and at this length, who cares? It will consistently make fire wherever you are (so long as you understand how to use it), and thats all that matters. And speaking of length, its so long that you could probably take the coating off of half of it, use that side until its spent, wrap the used up end with duct tape, scrape the coating off the other half, and use that until its a useless husk. Could effectively double the lifespan. If/when mine taps out for good, I will definitely be buying another. Cant imagine ever wanting to buy a different ferro rod from this point on.

> 24 hourWow, this thing is a beast! Using the striker from my Gerber firesteel, this thing throws HUGE hot sparks, and its size makes it easy to hold. comes drilled on one end for a lanyard, with a hole large enough for 550 paracord. A sure thing addition to any outdoors/survival kit!

> 24 hourBayite is really good quality ferro rods. 1/2 inch thich and 6 inches long with drilled lanyard hole. Once you scrape off black coating, which is easy by the way, these Bayite ferro rods throw great sparks. Very satisfied with these. Highly recommended, especially when ON SALE at $10 EACH they are a STEAL!!! Get `em quickly! !
