If youre looking for a good Ferro Rod, this is it. You cant go wrong

If you want a beasty ferro rod, this is it. Im sure theres something on the market that throws SLIGHTLY better sparks, but for the price, and at this length, who cares? It will consistently make fire wherever you are (so long as you understand how to use it), and thats all that matters. And speaking of length, its so long that you could probably take the coating off of half of it, use that side until its spent, wrap the used up end with duct tape, scrape the coating off the other half, and use that until its a useless husk. Could effectively double the lifespan. If/when mine taps out for good, I will definitely be buying another. Cant imagine ever wanting to buy a different ferro rod from this point on.

Gobs of sparks! Wears quickly but works very well. Its size really helps to hold during use.

Wow, this thing is a beast! Using the striker from my Gerber firesteel, this thing throws HUGE hot sparks, and its size makes it easy to hold. comes drilled on one end for a lanyard, with a hole large enough for 550 paracord. A sure thing addition to any outdoors/survival kit!

Bayite is really good quality ferro rods. 1/2 inch thich and 6 inches long with drilled lanyard hole. Once you scrape off black coating, which is easy by the way, these Bayite ferro rods throw great sparks. Very satisfied with these. Highly recommended, especially when ON SALE at $10 EACH they are a STEAL!!! Get `em quickly! !

1/2"× 5"" Pack of 2

  • Can be used for the kitchen as well as survival.
  • Not only for emergency bug-out bags, but also for gifts.

Size Comparison

  • Large size( 1/2"" thick) means plenty for your hands to hang onto. If you have large hands, we recommend the large size.
  • The 3/8"" × 4"" is big enough for easier strikes and small enough to carry.

How to use

  1. Scrape away the coating to expose shiny metal before first use.
  2. Hold the ferro rod close to the tinder at about a 45-degree angle. Place the scraper near the top of the rod.
  3. Pull the rod back (away from the tinder) with a slow and steady motion.
