> 24 hourI have better sparking ferro rods but I also have some not as good. This is a middle of the road rod. Not the best but very useable and fairly priced. It does the job.

> 24 hourThis ferro rod is as good as any of the more expensive brands on the market. I don’t like using the phrase “for the price”, as it denotes if you spent more money ~ you’d get something better. Not the case with this one! I own ferro rods from literally anyone you can name. This one ranks with the best, at a fraction of the cost. Use your hard earned dollars for a great knife, stove, or pack. You needn’t look elsewhere for a ferro rod. This one is perfect & will last you a long time.

> 24 hourThe Baylite 1/2 X 6 Ferro Rod is large enough to be easily held while striking and still small enough to fit in my backpack. The Ferro Rod should last a long time with the size of the rod. Good buy for the money!
