Wish it came with some cordage. Very long and handy. Tube like design is hard to flint off any sparks. But once you get a flat surface, it sparks a good amount of sparks. But use a box cutter and you’ll get more.

This works as it should after protective paint is scraped off. Emits plenty of spark to ignite dry tinder.

Awesome product

This is a OK product, the rod is very hard and does not throw the shower of sparks I had hoped for. On the plus side it will perform well enough and get the job done, and will due to its hardness last a life time.

Very good product

Lots of sparks with this baby. If you go to enlarge the hole, drill VERY SLOWLY in the original hole, or you will create a shower of sparks (yes, I speak from experience on this one).

Been using this on camping trips to light fires. Is actually more convenient to me than a lighter. Throws a lot of long lasting sparks. Even lit a fire next to 20-30MHP winds.
