Greater than one weekI like the long term ability to start a fire with ferro rods, in any type weather!

Greater than one weekNothing bad to say about it. You may want a baylite striker with it as well though. My mora isnt perfectly flat so almost no sparks with it. My ontario AF survival knife does better but it may be the parkerized finish doesnt spark as well or the mod version may not be perfectly flat. Works get with the baylite striker though.

> 3 dayGreat Ferro rod. Throws off some great sparks and this should last me a long time due to the size. I have seen a couple reviews about having trouble getting sparks. Just make sure you scrape the outer coating off the area of the rod you wish to use.

> 3 dayThis item is FBA, but It doesnt look like a new item. There is a line crack about one inch long at both end of the rod.

> 3 dayI found nothing I could call a drawback to this nice firestarter. I spent time bothering my wife with showers of sparks in the kitchen as soon as I opened the box. Its nice because with such girth, you know you can try it out many, many times without feeling like youre wasting any.
