> 3 dayThe title says it all. I do like softer rods for easy glob sparks but am not happy spending four times more for something that lasts four times less.

Greater than one weekAfter getting this anything smaller is kind of a joke. The thickness and length are just the right size. The price is decent as a couple more inches seems to double from other sellers. I havent tried to use it yet as Id like to keep the coating on it until I need it.

> 3 dayHaven’t used any other Faro rods, but absolutely sold & satisfied with the Bayite rod! Very easy to use, excellent spark distribution! If you’re trying to decide which to get, I definately recommend this one!!

> 3 dayAs soon as I got this rod I had to check it out. The first ting that I noticed was its size. It is a very robust rod to say the least. Big and weighty. Very nice feeling in your hand. The second thing I noticed was how easily it threw sparks. It was showering sparks and gobs of molten metal on its second strike. Yes, second. The first strike removed some of the coating that was on it, the second was igniting the metal. I love this rod.

> 3 dayLoved it so much I shared it on a few of the Facebook groups I’m in for survivalist camping and bushcraft and raved about it and everyone asked where I got it so I’ve been sending your link out. You’ve probably had a noticeable jump in orders and that’s me at work lol.

> 3 dayThese ferro rods are probably the best deal youll find in Amazon. These are thick high quality ferro rods. Almost always guarantee a spark and extremely easy to use. After buying my first rod for my bug out bag Ive already decided to buy more for my camping pack and truck. These will probably last for more fires than I can probably ever start.

> 3 dayIt is a substantial piece. I was surprised at the weight. Maybe better suited for cabin, etc. since a smaller piece would be less of a load for a bug out bag. Once the smooth finish was scraped off with a few strikes from the back of my knife the sparks were flying. It should last a long time. Great item. It has a drilled hole for a lanyard, hang it in place and/or keep a striker attached.

> 3 dayMy son and I have started a few fires using this. It is a good size and is easy to hold. It puts off a good hot shower of sparks. Starts a fire in no time. I plan on ordering one or two more.
