> 3 dayMine arrived today, was only 4 inches long instead of 6 like the description says. I will keep it, not worth the trouble of returning.

> 3 dayNice and long, much easier to use than the usual rods sold. I have used several rods, with a without handles. I wanted a ferro rod than was actually easy to hold and long enough to really generate some hot sparks with a knife. After installing a paracord lanyard sized to my hand I put this to the test with the back of my Mora camp knife. Took a couple of strokes to get the sparks where I wanted them - and fire started. While I will always carry a smaller rod as insurance, this will be my go-to rod for years to come. I gave this an easy to hold five star because with the lanyard it is as stable as any rod I have used. Without the lanyard this probably would be a little tricky since it does not have a handle or gripping surface. Your mileage may vary.

> 3 dayExcellent ferro rod. I have big hands, so it’s nice to have a more substantial one to hold.
