Has this printer for a while before suddenly its just perpetually listed as offline. I tried to remove and readd it in my control panel, and after removing, its not even searchable any more. Ive followed every online guide on how to get it to be back online so I can print, and nothing. Its a joke, because I can still scan from it, so obviously this thing can connect to my devices, but I cant print from my device itself. Ive uninstalled the Brother iPrint & Scan app and redownloaded it, and I cant even get past the select machine section of the setup wizard, its unable to find the printer, even though the printer says Ive successfully connected it to the wi-fi network. Worthless waste of money, cant even use it as a printer no matter what I try.

I was tired of HP, so I bought this. The price was fair, and I really liked the front feed with a 150 sheet capacity (My HP was too fusy about feeding, and was a top loader accepting only about 20 sheets at a time). Set up was easy (w/o a USB cable), and I had it connected to 2 wireless laptops, 1 ethernet desktop, 2 Android phones, and an Android tablet in about an hour. I have not used it much yet, but so far so good.

If only one color runs out THE WHOLE PRINTER SHUTS DOWN. The cartridges are not refillable because THE CONTROLLING CHIP CANNOT BE RESET. There are NO AFTERMARKET INK CARTRIDGES ON THE MARKET. Brother brand ink is of course GROSSLY OVERPRICED.

I had a very similar model to this that after seven years of pretty heavy duty use went kaput. I’m really familiar with all the settings and since my last printer lasted so long, I sprung for something similar. It didn’t disappoint. Integrates easily with Wi-Fi and wireless printing from my phone through their app or apple integration. The screen allows you to change whatever settings you need and overall it’s really simple to use. I love that it has a top and flatbed scanner as well as a copy function. Ive used all of those features several times. Overall a simple but very inclusive printer.

The reviews were decent and the price was right. It had the features I was looking for. But every time I print there is a problem! I am very frustrated! I will update if I get help

A normal cartridge only lasts a short time and replacement cartridges of Black Ink have been hard to find.

I did read the other reviews but bought it based on price of the printer and functions. The set up was clunky. The tiniest buttons to input wifi password. Download on the pc would not decompress the files. It still won’t print PDFs on my pc but it will when I use my phone app. Using the phone to print is a plus. Even printing all the test pages and alignment made me feel like I’d need a backup cartridge. So I looked. Prices for black ink is outrageous and mostly unavailable. Even dupes are back ordered. I mostly print documents so no need for color so much. The packages on Amazon all included color cartridges. The first cartridge is 1/4 -1/2 of the printer price so please do the math. I don’t use this at home often so I have options. If you need to print a lot, I’d look for brands where the ink is more available and cheaper. We all understand the sell a printer to get ink customers for a long time strategy- this one succeeds.

Sick and tired of HP, I decided to switch to Brother. The printer arrived quickly, packaged adequately, and was super easy to install. Ive always had problems connecting HP printers via Wi-Fi, so Ive always wired them to my computer. This Brother connected via Wi-Fi seamlessly and has held its connection since the initial install. Print quality is fine, scans are a touch on the slow side but thats ok, as long as it stays connected to my computer.
