> 24 hourThis is the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned, and I have had an Electrolux and Shark. It is so lightweight that I can just walk with it from room to room; and being cordless, I dont have to worry with plugging it in and dragging the cord around. I am very, VERY pleased with this purchase! Came fairly quickly, too.

> 24 hourI had a small vacuum that wasnt seeming to pick up dirt anymore and it was a struggle getting anything done with it, having to go over the same spot several times. I also have a dog (great Pyrenees mix) that sheds so much I dont know how she still has so much hair on her. I bought a Dyson v6 for my mother yeas ago and we always enjoyed it and I thought I didnt want to pay for a dyson for my new home... well 7 months later I was fed up what I had. I debated a Dyson and a standard corded model but, the convenience of cordless it something I really wanted. I had several concerns about the Dyson, mainly: battery life, suction power (I have mostly wood floors but a very large area rug in the living room that gets dog hair embedded in it), price $$$. Battery life seems like it will be a non issue. I let it charge for 4 hours, and then I vacuumed my entire house and I only lost 1 bar. Suction power was more then adequate for my needs; in about 2 minutes my rug felt deep cleaned and that was without using the Boost mode. It pulled up every embedded dog hair, and a TON of dirt. The picture in my review is a photo taken AFTER I vacuumed the rug with my old vacuum. It is 2x past the max fill line which was shocking to me when I looked down! I did not expect so much dirt to be sucked up and so much hair. My rug feels new again. I then did the rest of my living room, my kitchen, three bedrooms, a long hallway and a bathroom. The swiveling head is fantastic, and I stayed in Auto mode the whole time. My floors feel like I swept and mopped them, they have that squeaky clean feeling. I finished all of those areas in the time it usually takes me to do kitchen and living room to a satisfactory level. No switching cords, no struggling with low suction, the swivel on the head got into every area I needed, and it is so lightweight. The downside to the suction power is I did needed to empty the bin 4 times. It really doesnt hold a lot, so that might be a concern to some. Also, with how much dog hair is around my house, it really wraps around the little post in the bin and I do have to reach in and pull it out to get it out. That is very annoying, but would happen with any bagless system and my dogs hairs (they are 2-4 inch long hairs). Still, a slightly bigger bin would have been nice. I also wish I didnt need to detach the stick to empty the bin but the clip on/off system makes it quick and painless. Bringing me to the concern of price. I still think its too much, and that is why I am giving it 4 stars. Its a great machine and I think it will fit most peoples needs, but I feel like it could cost less, or come with more for the price. I would love a drop in battery so that you could have two ready to go, for instance. I know from our previous Dyson (my mothers) that replacing the battery is a bit of a hassle and they DO die; I had to replace the D6 battery under warranty twice in a few years time. However, all that said, time is money. The convenience of cordless, suction power, lightweight, excellent maneuverability and getting my entire home done is less then half the time it used to take me and eliminating the need to pre-sweep some areas all made the purchase worth it.

> 24 hourSo, needed a new vacuum cleaner. Had a Shark brand vacuum. I believe the model was called Navigator. Had it for a good number of years (maybe 15?). Now, it ironically blows more than it sucks. So, needed a new vacuum. After years of hearing about the wonders that are dyson vacuums, I decided sure. They are expensive but better things often are so figured if people are buying it at that price and are giving it good reviews at that price, it must be good. I was wrong. This is a textbook case of form over function. It looks fancy. They use fancy words for the technology inside. They use fancy ads to sell their product. But at the end of the day, its a vacuum cleaner. It has one job. And this one doesnt do a great job at it. It picks up loose fuzz and dust well - but so did my cheaper Shark Navigator. Really, the only good thing about this is that it is light enough to be easily moved around the house. Is that worth the price? Id say no. I literally could have bought 3 good-enough vacuums that cleaned just as well so I had one on each floor and didnt need to carry it between floors. I dont even know how often it was actually a problem because I could move the old Shark pretty easily between floors but the odd shape and weight dispersion made it hard for my wife to do so. That said, the light weight and ease of maneuverability have gotten favorable marks from my wife, though she probably would have been happy with any one she could reasonably carry that did an ok job. That said, if you have only hardwoord/laminate/tile/ceramic floors, it does a good enough job on them. Im probably going to have to get another vacuum for the few rugs we have and the carpet in the basement. I mean, its good enough to get the loose surface stuff but it really falls short in getting in there on the rugs. Even in Boost mode. Now I cant speak for other Dyson vacuums as this is my first. It will probably be a long time before Id consider another one, though, as it just left an impression that youre paying more for the name than the product. Learn from my mistake and spend your money better. Meanwhile, Im trying to hunt for one that works like the old ones where you had to keep your foot near it on the rug or it would suck the rug up into it.

> 24 hourIt was time to replace our old Dyson cord vacuum. I think it was 17 years old. Since it had performed so well over the years, I immediately looked to Dyson again. I admit I was a bit skeptical that a smaller stick vacuum could do the job in an almost 2000 sq ft house. We are senior citizens who have an active lifestyle, live in the mountains off of dusty roads, have house cats and 2 Aussie dogs. Since we also have horses and acreage, we are busy and the cleaning sometimes takes a lower priority. I wanted something that was easy to use, quick, and not having to drag a cord around sounded really good! Hubby thought I was making a big mistake. But, after assembling it and using it today, he has changed his mind, and I really, really like this handy and powerful vacuum. Some of the features take a bit of getting used to, like taking the tube with the power head off to dump the bin. In fact, I was concerned about the small size of the bin, and how often I might need to dump it. But after using it to vacuum most of the house, Im no longer concerned. Im used to it now, and it takes just a moment. And...it did a great job, our area rugs look great, and it moves so easily to our hardwood floors. One really big plus for us is that it runs off battery charge. We live off the grid and generate our own electricity with solar and wind. On cloudy, windless days, I was basically forbidden to vacuum, unless I started a generator. But now, I can have a charge ready and get it done! Couldnt be happier. If, having using this for a time we find something to change our opinion, I will edit my review to reflect it. Can definitely recommend this product!

> 24 hourIt’s a little heavy but it’s a workhorse - I don’t mind

> 24 hourI’m 77, so I’ve had a lot of vacuums in my life. This is far and above the best. No cord to lift over. Suction is awesome for all the pet hair. Battery life is great. Dyson has thought this one out in detail.

> 24 hourNOTE: Update below... Just got the new V11 from Amazon. Shipping and packaging was excellent. Now onto the actual Dyson, the VAC itself is amazing!!! However, the Torque Motorhead was a big disappointment on my hardwood floors. The $100 Dirt Devil I have does a better job, but it’s corded, which is why I went for the Dyson. I heard so many positive things about the V11 that I assumed I was just using it incorrectly. Turns out I wasn’t and that the head it comes with isn’t great when using it on bare floors. I contacted Dyson and they said I have to spend another $150 for a bare floor head from the V10 model. Just a heads up for those with mostly hardwoods, look into a V10 package that comes with both heads as it’s a better deal. It comes with both heads and since the V10 is the last model, it’s much cheaper to boot! That being said, the suction seems good on this thing. With the front vent on the included head “closed”, this thing sucks itself to the floor!! Battery life on turbo mode is about 5 or 6 minutes which is enough to super clean a small or medium sized room. (SEE UPDATE BELOW) On regular mode I can do most of my house, which is amazing. It’s also pretty quiet. I don’t like loud noises so I wear noise canceling headphones and listen to music when doing things like mowing and vacuuming. I didn’t need them at all with the Dyson. Overall pretty impressive, just that initial shock of seeing debris left behind on the hardwoods makes me want to give only three stars. I’m hoping the new bare floor head helps. UPDATE: Ive been using the Bare Floor Tool for a few months now and it is 100 times better than the Torque Motorhead on bare floors. It picks up way more stuff and the battery life is more than doubled!! It can also roll over things (like Cheerios) where the Torque Motorhead will just push them around. Also Ive noticed that my bin is fuller when using the Bare Floor Tool, as if the Torque Motorhead was somehow leaving find dust and dirt behind. IF you have all bare floors, try to find a Dyson kit that has the vac and the Bare Floor Tool. The Torque Motorhead will be useless to you. Mine lives in the back of the closet now.

> 24 hourI own a Dyson Ball vac and a older Dyson stick vacuum, the stick vac is well over 5 years old and I have had to replace the battery once so far. Its about that time to replace the battery again because it only runs for at most 5 min on a charge, where it used to run for about 15 min on a new battery. Aside from the dying battery it is still going strong. I primarily use the stick vac for vacuuming our kitchen and entry way tiles, so I generally dont need long run times. The V11 is overkill for my initial needs in terms of price and battery capacity (about 45 to 60min), but I bought it anyway and Im glad I did. So, after using it for a couple months I have to say it has impressed me to no end. I literally have no use for my Dyson Ball vac anymore. The V11 has just enough run time to vacuum my whole house (3500sqft) and I believe it has better suction then my ball vac. This thing makes vacuuming the stairs a breeze and I no longer have to move furnature around to get into tight spaces like between couches because the head is smaller and less bulky than the ball vac. Light weight and portability is the biggest plus for the V11 compared to my ball vac... its funny that I am comparing the V11 to a full sized plug in vacuum but it literally is that good. This is sounding like a too good to be true review, trust me it is not. Aesthetically the the coolest thing is the display and I thought at first it was gimmicky. Well I was wrong, since I have moved on to only using the V11 and retiring my ball vac the display has helped me gauge how much time I have left for vacuuming the house. So far I have not run out of charge even on long runs, by long runs I mean vacuuming the whole house in one go and I have done this multiple times already. Only downside to this little guy is that I have to empty the waste bin halfway through my long vaccuming sessions. There are loads of attachemnt heads most of which I havent used yet. The only real gimmick to this vacuum is that there is a sound effect that happens when the trigger is released. Its like a cartoon spring boing sound, but it is a very pleasing sound and not at all annoying. Hope this review helps someone because I feel like I have just been rambling on and on.

> 24 hourWe were in the market for another cordless vacuum as the other one we had didnt do very well, so we decided to go for the gusto and invest in a higher quality one that we felt would last longer and do better. With that in mind we finally ended up looking at this Dyson model. After reading the reviews from here and elsewhere we look the plunge, although it was initially hard justifying the money we were putting into it. My wife is the skeptic of the family, so for her seeing was believing with this. She headed upstairs to vacuum the entire upstairs, which includes four bedrooms, two closets, and two baths. When she came down with it full of junk this thing had pulled off the floor she was a convert. Her baseline has always been her Rainbow vacuum that she swears by, but after using this and seeing how well it cleans shes now less eager to haul the Rainbow out and lug it around. Given the long battery life of it, and the incredible suction it has, I now frequently use it to do a quick cleaning of the house as I know its sucking up whatever it comes in contact with. Ive been especially impressed with the suction it has and the battery life of it. Ive vacuumed the entire upstairs and downstairs in a 2900 square foot house and still have plenty of battery life left. It obviously uses less battery on the tiles floors we have in the downstairs area and part of the upstairs, but for the carpeted areas it still gives me plenty of time to thoroughly clean them and still have plenty of battery life left. Both of us are totally sold on this vacuum and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a cordless vacuum that could very well end your need for a lumbering beast like our Rainbow. The cost is not cheap, but in this case I would say you get what you pay for.

> 24 hourCompared to the Tineco V12S the Dyson V11 is a basic vacuum. BUT the Tineco (the one I bought) lasted only two days. I have yet to see any of my Dyson products to fail. The V11 does not have a trigger lock, the motorized brush does not have any illumination and it comes with only one battery (the Tineco has a spare). It is heavier the the Tineco. The Dyson vacuums color scheme was outsourced to a kindergarten coloring class. And the V11 is heavier than the Tineco...but, again, the Tinecos are not made to last. Read the reviews. Also, te Dyson customer support must be better than Tinecos (Although I had no reason to call Dyson. Only had to deal Tinecos support.)
