> 3 daySo Ive been using this Dyson V11 Torque Drive Cordless Vacuum Cleaner for a while and these are the pros and cons Ive found with the product. First of all, Ive used a vacuum cleaner that was nearly 100 dollars previously and had to sell it back because the suction power was just too weak. (It was made from China) Now that I’ve got it changed to this Dyson V11 product the difference all I could say is that it is crazy. There is a reason why people were buying this expensive product for a reason. And from this experience I was able to understand why people say expensive products are expensive for a reason. As I was saying, Dyson V11 series at current point has the strongest suction power in the vacuum cleaner market. When you are using this product, you wont feel any worry that this machine wouldnt have the capacity or the sucking power to suck something out from the ground. When I do use it, it even feels as if the vacuum cleaner is sucking the carpet fur itself and not just the dirt, thats how strong it is. In terms of the weight, some people do say females would have a hard time using it for a long time because of its weight. It is partly true, considering that Dyson V11 is not a lightweight compared to other cheap vacuum cleaners I’ve used. But this bit of weight actually brings more stability to cleaning and that’s what I personally felt more positively than the weight being something to worry about. The battery life so far is lasting good and you can change the modes(each mode lists the battery time left on the screen) to your own choice how long and extensive you want to use your Dyson. In the end, to me, this product was not a waste of money but a life lesson why you should buy a good product in the first place for a reason. Because it sure does its job well and Dyson’s warranty system is also trustworthy in this case for future problems.

> 3 dayWe were in the market for another cordless vacuum as the other one we had didnt do very well, so we decided to go for the gusto and invest in a higher quality one that we felt would last longer and do better. With that in mind we finally ended up looking at this Dyson model. After reading the reviews from here and elsewhere we look the plunge, although it was initially hard justifying the money we were putting into it. My wife is the skeptic of the family, so for her seeing was believing with this. She headed upstairs to vacuum the entire upstairs, which includes four bedrooms, two closets, and two baths. When she came down with it full of junk this thing had pulled off the floor she was a convert. Her baseline has always been her Rainbow vacuum that she swears by, but after using this and seeing how well it cleans shes now less eager to haul the Rainbow out and lug it around. Given the long battery life of it, and the incredible suction it has, I now frequently use it to do a quick cleaning of the house as I know its sucking up whatever it comes in contact with. Ive been especially impressed with the suction it has and the battery life of it. Ive vacuumed the entire upstairs and downstairs in a 2900 square foot house and still have plenty of battery life left. It obviously uses less battery on the tiles floors we have in the downstairs area and part of the upstairs, but for the carpeted areas it still gives me plenty of time to thoroughly clean them and still have plenty of battery life left. Both of us are totally sold on this vacuum and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a cordless vacuum that could very well end your need for a lumbering beast like our Rainbow. The cost is not cheap, but in this case I would say you get what you pay for.

> 3 dayIt was time to replace our old Dyson cord vacuum. I think it was 17 years old. Since it had performed so well over the years, I immediately looked to Dyson again. I admit I was a bit skeptical that a smaller stick vacuum could do the job in an almost 2000 sq ft house. We are senior citizens who have an active lifestyle, live in the mountains off of dusty roads, have house cats and 2 Aussie dogs. Since we also have horses and acreage, we are busy and the cleaning sometimes takes a lower priority. I wanted something that was easy to use, quick, and not having to drag a cord around sounded really good! Hubby thought I was making a big mistake. But, after assembling it and using it today, he has changed his mind, and I really, really like this handy and powerful vacuum. Some of the features take a bit of getting used to, like taking the tube with the power head off to dump the bin. In fact, I was concerned about the small size of the bin, and how often I might need to dump it. But after using it to vacuum most of the house, Im no longer concerned. Im used to it now, and it takes just a moment. And...it did a great job, our area rugs look great, and it moves so easily to our hardwood floors. One really big plus for us is that it runs off battery charge. We live off the grid and generate our own electricity with solar and wind. On cloudy, windless days, I was basically forbidden to vacuum, unless I started a generator. But now, I can have a charge ready and get it done! Couldnt be happier. If, having using this for a time we find something to change our opinion, I will edit my review to reflect it. Can definitely recommend this product!

> 3 dayThis is the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned, and I have had an Electrolux and Shark. It is so lightweight that I can just walk with it from room to room; and being cordless, I dont have to worry with plugging it in and dragging the cord around. I am very, VERY pleased with this purchase! Came fairly quickly, too.

04-06-2025Compared to the Tineco V12S the Dyson V11 is a basic vacuum. BUT the Tineco (the one I bought) lasted only two days. I have yet to see any of my Dyson products to fail. The V11 does not have a trigger lock, the motorized brush does not have any illumination and it comes with only one battery (the Tineco has a spare). It is heavier the the Tineco. The Dyson vacuums color scheme was outsourced to a kindergarten coloring class. And the V11 is heavier than the Tineco...but, again, the Tinecos are not made to last. Read the reviews. Also, te Dyson customer support must be better than Tinecos (Although I had no reason to call Dyson. Only had to deal Tinecos support.)

> 3 dayI bought a Dyson V10 a few years ago, and I love it. I moved to a new house, and my stuff has been in storage for several months, and my place was just getting too dusty for simple sweeping clean and/or mopping the floors. So I decided to give the V11 a chance. The Time Remaining Meter: Thats a cool feature, but not terribly important for me personally. It was easy to get accustomed to how much vacuuming I could do with the V10 before I had to charge it again. The Real-Time Carpet/Floor Adjustment: Not very impressed with the smart speed setting when rolling over throw rugs, at least. I have tile and wood floors, and only have small throw rugs in the bathroom, for example. It doesnt really register and speed up until Im about 40%-60% done with the 3x5 carpet. I think it would be more convenient if you have larger carpet space to vacuum over. Conclusion: Other than those two additions, this is basically the V10, but revised. Either model is a good purchase. I only had cheap $30-$40 Dirt Devil small vacuums for 20+ years, and got tired of the terrible efficiency. It also was annoying when a model I had would no longer have replacement bags and pieces after a couple/few years. The Dyson was initially something that made me think What the heck are you doing spending this much for a VACUUM?!, only to go home and vacuum my entire place in 20 minutes. I was floored (pun intended), because it used to take 20 minutes to do just the living room! So I recommend considering these models if you want a mobile, not too heavy, and reliable vacuum that is really easy to empty the dust into the trash. The attachments are nice as well, but... ADVICE: Adjust your budget to include the fluffy cleaner head. That is amazing if you have tile and/or wooden floors.

> 3 dayI have been wanting a Cordless Dyson for a long time and i am not disappointed! The battery lasts very good except on Boost mode but that seems self explanatory because it’s going to full power to get deep into your carpet. You get about 14 min at full charge in this mode.

> 3 dayMy vacuum arrived less than two months ago. It had strong suction, a good assortment of accessories and a good display. I quickly gave up using my built-in vacuum. The battery lasted through most of the house cleaning and the waste compartment was easy to unload. I was totally impressed with the device. Up to about a week ago I would have given it five stars plus. A week ago, the vacuum motor started surging and the display indicated that the filter needed cleaning. The display even had an animation of how to remove the filter and clean it under a faucet. It then showed how to reinstall the filter. I did what I thought the device was telling me to do. I rinsed the filter under the kitchen faucet and shook out the excess water. The filter even shows a faucet on it. After the filter was reinstalled, the motor continued surging and then the vacuum shut off completely. Thinking that maybe the battery needed charging, I put the vacuum on the charger and took out the filter to let dry further. After a couple of days, I reinstalled the filter which was still slightly damp and tried to run the vacuum. It was still dead. The Dyson web site had some suggestions of what to do, which I tried, but to no avail. There was a video that showed how to clean the filter, but it added a step of letting the filter dry for a day before reinstalling. Eventually I contacted Dyson’s customer support. I told her what had happened and she told me the warranty was voided because the machine had got moisture in it. I mentioned that a cell phone can be dropped in water and it will still function. She confided that she had dropped her cell phone in the toilet and it still worked. She said I could buy a battery or take it to the Dyson repair facility 70 miles away. It did not seem like a batty problem to me. I told her I am an electronics engineer and cannot imagine a consumer product that would be that sensitive to moisture. She said I could talk to her supervisor which I said I would like to do. After a pause, she told me that the supervisor was on a phone call and would call me back. It has been 24 hours now and no phone call. My company builds electronic products and they get exposed to rain, snow and many other sources of moisture. If our products failed when they were exposed to moisture, we would be out of business. I though I was following the instructions on the screen. It seems like normal use could expose their electronics to moisture; for example, a wet rug or a small puddle of water in the bathroom or kitchen. The Dyson literature says it is good for pets. Pets can have accidents and if the vacuum goes over a wet spot in a rug, the machine will fail. If exposure to moisture is all it takes to kill the vacuum and void the warranty, then I see major issues with it. Standard coatings can protect the electronics from water and most electronic products have such coatings. The vacuum seems like a great concept, but still in the beta development phase. It just went to market too early without sufficient real-world testing. Incidentally, I looked at the repair facility’s web site and they are closed because of the COVID-19 virus. There is no way to fix my vacuum, so it is a $700 paper weight. I certainly cannot recommend buying one. Update: The supervisor never called back. Dyson did email me and offered a 20% discount for a new main body/cyclone. When I tried to purchase the part, I spent one hour on hold on the phone. After reaching a customer support person, he told me he would call me back if the line dropped. The line dropped and he did not call back. Before the line dropped he said there was no stock on the part, but he would check further. My vacuum remains a paper weight since there is no schedule for the service centers to reopen and apparently Dyson does not stock the part I need.

> 3 dayI wish I could return this product. I’ve had this product since January of 2020. It worked well for about one year. But it hardly works now. Barely picks up hair. I have to change the filter each time I use it. When I’m done with it and go to hang it up, it drops a bunch of dirt and stuff that was supposed to be sucked up. I’m in the market, yet again, for a new vacuum. Super disappointed.

> 3 dayJust got the dyson v11 torque drive today. I fully charged it and tested it out. Overall design and technology is fantastic, the dustbin is super easy to empty, and battery life is long. The wall mount holds 2 attachments, and the tube of the vacuum has a clip that also holds 2 more attachments as well. The digital display is convenient, counts down how much battery life is left in real time. Ive tried several other vacs and returned them all, finally decided to try dyson. The power this vacuum has surpasses all others. My only cons are that on thicker rugs, its harder to push, but thats because the suction is so strong. Also I prefer am on/off switch instead of trigger. Time will tell if this vac is worth it. Also, if you buy this vacuum, ONLY PURCHASE DIRECTLY FROM AMAZON LLC!! IF YOU BUY FROM A 3RD PARTY SELLER, DYSON WILL NOT HONOR THE 2 YR WARRANTY. I did my research before I made the purchase, contacted dyson about the warranty details. There are sellers on Amazon that will lie to you and say the warranty is guaranteed, and even have it in the description. Dont do it. I will update with more details on longevity in a couple months.
