Great for brake and fuel lines. I used an undercoating gun and the film wrapped around it. I imagine it will need to be recoated every fall. It has only been a few months, but seems to stop the prgresion of rust . I used compressed air to remove mud and scale b 4 i sprayed

Just ordered another gallon. Been using this stuff for the last 3 years. Great stuff and does not leave a heavy skin if you need to work under truck and still protects from the elements. I drive on beaches all the time and the undercarriage on my 4Runner and Van look great. I use it once a year. If too thick for sprayer you can cut the stuff with vegetable oil. Dont use anything thats solvent based.

I am in a perpetual battle with rust. I live in Michigan, and buy older high mileage cars for my family. I have tried many rust converter products. A neighbor told me about this product, so I bought a gallon to give it a try. What I like about it is the ease of application. I keep the gallon close by whenever I go underneath any of my cars and give a brush to anything that looks like rust, or even the signs that it could become rust... From an application standpoint, it goes on easily, covers well, and when I have gone back under the vehicle for other work, it seems to be holding up well. Its my first year, so time will tell if it holds back the rust. That said, I have found nothing that works hands down. Some products slow the rust down, but I have found nothing that stops rust in its tracks. To give you an example of my yearly routine: Jack up the car on all four corners and remove the wheels: Wash the underbody, let it dry a few days, treat anything that looks like rust with a rust converter, give it a couple of days to dry, then retreat if required, or cover the treated area with rustoleum rust primer, give it a couple of days, then paint it with rustoleum shiny black paint. Then move to the next car, and the next car, and the next car. Repeat yearly. The one downside to this product that I can say so far, if it does not work, the are applied is oily/greasy and unlikely to be easily prepped for any other type of rust conversion/paint product.

I warmed the gallon and sprayer in the oven at 120 degrees. It is cool/cold out to be spraying. Warming makes it go very well. Not flammable is huge, smell is ok, doesnt make a mess in the garage. I have an f150, a gallon went fast, needed two gallons, probably over applying. I am using a 5hp 30 gallon sprayer at 120psi, covers an area very fast.

Ive been using this stuff for a few years now, and man what cant it do? I originally bought it as an undercoating for my vehicles. I live in MA where we salt the roads so much you would swear an ocean dried up and left the salt deposits behind on the black top. I lather up the cars twice a year and not only does it stop the salt from eating through the paint and causing rust it actually over time penetrates through the the existing rust and starts lifting it away little by little. I used to be careful not to get it on the exhaust of the vehicles but now I dont bother to worry about that. It just fizzles and burns off but does NOT catch fire. The only down side is the strange smell and concerned looks i get while at the traffic lights as the white smoke plumes from underneath the cars. For my old 99 pickup truck that was rusting along the firewall and othe parts of the engine I decided why not give this stuff a try? So I hosed off the engine bay walls, brake booster, and pretty much everything other than the alternator, fuse boxes, air intake box/hose, battery, and top and front of engine block with this stuff. The rust mostly gone in the engine bay after a couple of years. What cant this stuff do? Heres a list of what I found it can be used for; Car under coating Rust penetrator for removing bolts and freeing locks (use the spray can version for this) Wipe down rag for firearms Mixed with CLP for a good bore cleaner for blackpowder and smokeless rifles Lube garage door tracks Rust cleaner Snowthrower tines, chute, and drive train Tire shiner If its metal and you want it protected or lubed this is the stuff you want. Just dont drink it. Then again, this stuff probably cures cancer too.

I like this product for its simplicity, put it in a shutz gun and spray. I do this twice a year during winter and salt has very little affect. Makes a notisable difference. Smell is... a little foul but goes away, like a sheep.

Was able to do 2 full size trucks with one gallon. Recommend you buy the gun to spray this stuff. I bought the wool wax pro gun and it worked great. This stuff is thick like peanut butter. I warmed it up in front of a torpedo heater and it’s still slow pouring through a funnel into the spray cups.

My brother-in-law and I have been using this for over 10 years on all of our cars and it seems to help in our rust-prone NE Ohio climate. Different garages have told both of us that our shocks/struts are leaking after using this, but its just been the Fluid Film. So be sure that they really are leaking before you replace them.
