> 3 dayProduct is great. One gallon can was stuffed in a half gallon box. Do the math. At least 20% of the product leaked out because there was no cushion around the can. Looked like it was dropped somewhere along the line. Thank god it was in a plastic bag too but still was a partial loss.

> 3 dayPut this stuff on my Toyota box frame because they are notorous for rust. I applied it last fall and its been on for a year. Applying it is difficult if you dont have a sprayer, I used a paintbrash and a had my vehicle jacked up on solid cinderblocks, not easy and time consuming but it works and will get you a good undercoat for $55 all in (including the $10 paintbrush). Its a great value, especially compared to buying aerosol cans of fluid film. Anothor plus of the fluid film is that it doesnt smell bad, doesnt smell great but it as bad as brakleen. I hardly went through any of the bucket when I did my undercoat, Ill probably get 5 years out of it. Over the winter I drove through rain, snow, and salt. There isnt many/any signs of rust. The only negative I can say is that this stuff will attract road grime if you do a heavy application, this wont road grime wont lead to rust but any time you touch the frame youll get road grime on you. The application is very resilient, I see people saying it will wear off with just rain. This is absolutely false, even on my vehicle driven at highway speeds in the wet this stuff didnt wash away. You would need something like a pressure washer for it to remove a coat.

Greater than one weekInitially, this product looked very nice when it was applied. Here in Central New York State, where DOT uses salt on the roads all winter long, this was a waste of time and money. By spring, there was no trace of it on the underbody. I only washed the top of the car, never the underbody to prevent it from being washed off. This year Im trying waxoyl hard wax and electronic rustproofing together.

> 3 dayWell I just bought a used pickup and I used this to undercoat it. At about 60 degrees I was able to spray it just fine with my $100 compressor. It looks and has the consistency of butterscotch pudding. Doesnt smell all that bad, and the smell that was there lasted about a day. What I love about it is that it “creeps” into all the corners and crevices. For the price, its a no brainer. Btw if you do spray it on the exhaust, dont freak , as it burns off in ten minutes. No biggy. The real test? This coming winter in CT. Ill follow up with more info.

> 3 dayI’m a first time user and it was real easy to apply to the inner frame of my vehicle. I will reserve judgment on rating it for longevity and value for a few years.

22-04-2025Use the Fluid Film Pro undercoating gun to apply this stuff as an undercoating or rust preventative. See my review of that product for more on my long term test I will be reporting back on. I can say it goes on well, does not dry or create a dry shell. I can say this makes a great lubricant that fills the void between light oil and grease. I used it on my tractor 3 point hitch components and moving parts, lubing all of the pins on my attachments that live outdoors. Things slide and move easier now making things easy to put on and take off. It is easy on the hands, too. It stays like a heavy oil, which makes it likely to do well as a rust proofer as well. Time will tell if it makes a difference long term, and I will check back in with my results. If I were Fluid Film, Id do a test vehicle and treat the passenger side (gutter side) with this product and do nothing to the other side. Show customers the difference after 5-8-10+ years online. If their product works, it would sell itself then. I would rate the product 5 stars if there were clear data about how effective it can be. For my part, I have no plans to do only half of my Silverado, and I have coated all areas I can access, so well see how long it takes old man winter to rust the treated areas. I will report back as time marches on with results.

25-04-2025This is my first experience with undercoating but since I bought a gently used Chevy 2500HD and I live in northern Ohio I felt that I should protect my vehicle for the long haul. Firstly, I overbought. I got 2 gallons and planned on doing my truck, a small suv and a Honda Fit. Well after heating up the oil and using a spray gun, I used a single canister which I believe to be about 32 oz on my truck, that figure counts for 2 coats as well. I’m not too sure on some of you saying you used a whole gallon because I can’t see how that’s feasible unless it was brushed on (definitely not spending that kind of time on that big of a vehicle.) all in all, I have plenty of product for the next few years at least. The viscosity from the cold initially was like pudding but after heating it up with a turbo heater it became very maple syrup like. Do that and you’ll have no issues. Use a tarp too! It protects from overspray and you can easily slide around on the concrete lol Update March 2019 The rust proofing seemed to stay on during the winter. My fine mist did well from what the eye can see and as a tester to see how long it would last, I put it on the face of my tires much like a tire shine, and when I get my truck washed the tires still shine where I applied it! So screw all other tire foams just use this. I’ll be applying it again next fall for sure. Also it appears the price fluctuated based on demand by $10 so something to consider. I think the next time I apply the product I’ll try to find another way to make it very thin and sprayable, like a heating probe or a hot knife tool? I’m open to suggestions because kerosene is expensive and smelly. Good product!!
