> 3 dayI recently purchased a 2020 CR-V, and I wanted to comment on how much product was used. I used an electric sprayer, and with a fairly fine mist was able to coat all areas not covered by the felt(?) linings. It took approximately 1 quart, maybe a bit less. Theres honestly not much to spray, everything is pretty flat underneath. I think the products capabilities have been time-tested, this review is mostly about quantity.

> 3 dayThis stuff is messy, smells bad and doesnt last. I would suggest trying cosmoline instead. Much cleaner and longer lasting. I dont understand why these sheep based products are so popular. Very disappointing trying this after having used cosmoline.

> 3 dayIm a believer i sprayed the underside of my truck frame and body to help preserve it from rotting away as Im partially restoring the truck and want to keep it for the long haul! This stuff works great! I used a cheap paint gun from tractor supply sprayed at 55 psi it works well! Leaves a thick film of oil on what ever you spray it on! I also love the way it smells ! Im hooked on this stuff! Its an awesome product and I highly recommend you use it on your vehicle or any thing else that needs a little oil! Its great for every thing! . The paint sprayer worked however I recommend the fluid film pro kit as it includes hoses and tubes to attach for those hard to reach places that was the one draw back of using a paint sprayer instead of the fluid film gun. I Will getting one for next time !

> 3 dayThis is more then I am asking for. The whole can seem like it will take for ever to finish it. The cost to less then the spray can.

> 3 dayWow this stuff smell like sheep, and it should cause it comes from sheep. Anyhow the wife didnt like the smell when I first sprayed it on and complained a bit. I on the other hand, love this stuff. I used a graco airless sprayer to get it coated under my F350 which was showing lots of rusting. It has a weird viscosity where if you stir it up it thins out but once it settles, it thickens. It leave an oily (like lamb oil) on the surface, but doesnt come off. Seems to semi-solidify. I probably over sprayed it, but it used about 2/3 gallon on my Truck. Definitely think its worth it. There might be some other uses for it also, like boots and belts and rubbing on your hands to waterproof them (maybe poison ivy proof them.

Greater than one weekI tried fluid film in the aerosol cans in the past and had decent luck. This time I went for the gallon can. Its consistency is like pudding. The site says to use an airless sprayer for it, but I found that my professional air powered rust proofing gun worked just fine. If you do your own rust proofing, I recommend looking into getting the professional gun that has the hoses with different tips to reach inside doors, fenders, rocker panels, etc. (around $200). I will update my review after this winter season. Im hoping it seals up metal and sticks around as well as the spec. sheet states.

> 3 dayMy brother in law swears by this product. He has it on all of his vehicles. So now we have it on our new truck. I will get back with you in ten years and let you know how well it worked.. lol It was an ease to apply, time consuming but relatively simple.

> 3 dayBought this to undercoat my 06 forester xt. I purchased a small hand pump pesticide sprayer from the garden section at Lowe’s. Unfortunately the sprayer doesn’t spray a mist so it was no help to me (useless info for this review, but whatever). When I opened the gallon of Fluid Film it was a gel, a heat gun made it liquid but was getting so hot that I didn’t feel safe to continue heating it. To apply it from the gallon can I had to use a brush, unfortunately requiring me to buy aerosol cans to spray inside the subframe and areas I couldnt reach. No complaints about the product, it’s still the best stuff I’ve ever come across, just be aware that the unpressurized stuff is a gel like consistency
