> 3 dayWhat is not to like. Took me like 3hrs to do a car and truck. Where local shops wanted $350. Or the real cost rust problems... this is my second year doing this but I have watch a lot of YouTube and been on the forums, looking at people who have like 9 years doing it. I also called fluid film direct. Customer service is great and helpful. Worth the effort and saving! For reference 6 ton Jacks, cheap HF tarp and low volume HF gun.

Greater than one weekFluid film is what it is- a great product for rust prevention/ mitigation that I have used for years. In my case, the shipping box was opened to reveal that the gallon sized paint can had been shipped on its side, with no regard to the possibility that the lid may come loose- which it did. What a mess I found when I opened the box! Would strongly suggest to the merchant that you ship the can upright in the box, with a label on the outside of the box denoting This side up. Perhaps run some shipping tape or shrink wrap over the top of the can as a secondary measure to prevent the lid coming off the can. Unless something changes, be prepared for a mess when this product shows up on your doorstep...

> 3 dayLove this stuff! I have tried several other brands of corrosion prevention sprays and this is by far the best. Yes, it leaves a slippery film on a surface that does not dry out which is the point for adequate protection. You may find it necessary to wipe off (where maintenance is required) and then re-applied, for example for suspension work. It is not as inexpensive as some other brands when purchased in spray cans but Fluid Film is worth it. If you have large applications or like to apply it for example once or twice a year to your vehicles then buy the complete kit with a spray gun. If you have smaller periodic applications then add the spray cans to your Amazon list and keep an eye on the price. $10/can seems to be the best price so far. Hate to mention this on Amazon but it is also periodically available on sale at Lowes or AutoZone.

> 3 dayI am in a perpetual battle with rust. I live in Michigan, and buy older high mileage cars for my family. I have tried many rust converter products. A neighbor told me about this product, so I bought a gallon to give it a try. What I like about it is the ease of application. I keep the gallon close by whenever I go underneath any of my cars and give a brush to anything that looks like rust, or even the signs that it could become rust... From an application standpoint, it goes on easily, covers well, and when I have gone back under the vehicle for other work, it seems to be holding up well. Its my first year, so time will tell if it holds back the rust. That said, I have found nothing that works hands down. Some products slow the rust down, but I have found nothing that stops rust in its tracks. To give you an example of my yearly routine: Jack up the car on all four corners and remove the wheels: Wash the underbody, let it dry a few days, treat anything that looks like rust with a rust converter, give it a couple of days to dry, then retreat if required, or cover the treated area with rustoleum rust primer, give it a couple of days, then paint it with rustoleum shiny black paint. Then move to the next car, and the next car, and the next car. Repeat yearly. The one downside to this product that I can say so far, if it does not work, the are applied is oily/greasy and unlikely to be easily prepped for any other type of rust conversion/paint product.

> 3 daygood product - probably the best on the market - just make sure you buy the air spray gun if you are undercoating your car with it. it is very thick.

23-04-2025Can’t believe they shipped a gallon can in a cardboard box without securing the lid with clips, or strapping tape! Fortunately it was in a plastic bag too, because the can was smashed and I got a leaking bag full of slippery goo. The product is awesome, I coat all the exposed metal hardware on beachfront homes to prevent corrosion.
