> 3 dayUse the Fluid Film Pro undercoating gun to apply this stuff as an undercoating or rust preventative. See my review of that product for more on my long term test I will be reporting back on. I can say it goes on well, does not dry or create a dry shell. I can say this makes a great lubricant that fills the void between light oil and grease. I used it on my tractor 3 point hitch components and moving parts, lubing all of the pins on my attachments that live outdoors. Things slide and move easier now making things easy to put on and take off. It is easy on the hands, too. It stays like a heavy oil, which makes it likely to do well as a rust proofer as well. Time will tell if it makes a difference long term, and I will check back in with my results. If I were Fluid Film, Id do a test vehicle and treat the passenger side (gutter side) with this product and do nothing to the other side. Show customers the difference after 5-8-10+ years online. If their product works, it would sell itself then. I would rate the product 5 stars if there were clear data about how effective it can be. For my part, I have no plans to do only half of my Silverado, and I have coated all areas I can access, so well see how long it takes old man winter to rust the treated areas. I will report back as time marches on with results.

> 3 dayI’m a first time user and it was real easy to apply to the inner frame of my vehicle. I will reserve judgment on rating it for longevity and value for a few years.

> 3 dayI warmed the gallon and sprayer in the oven at 120 degrees. It is cool/cold out to be spraying. Warming makes it go very well. Not flammable is huge, smell is ok, doesnt make a mess in the garage. I have an f150, a gallon went fast, needed two gallons, probably over applying. I am using a 5hp 30 gallon sprayer at 120psi, covers an area very fast.

24-11-2024good product - probably the best on the market - just make sure you buy the air spray gun if you are undercoating your car with it. it is very thick.

Greater than one weekThe product is good. It goes on easily with the air powered spray gun. I was worried that the over spray would be all over my garage floor forever but, it cleaned up really easy and never made me regret using this in my nice clean garage. I did use plastic sheeting but, inevitable got some on the floor anyway. The leftovers went on my 18yo Fischer snow plow.

Greater than one weekI live in the salt belt and using this stuff is the only way to keep the rust away that I have found. This stuff works great. Even if your vehicle is starting to rust...spray this on the rust and try to spray it on the other side as well. I will continue to use this product for as long as they keep it affordable to do so.

20-11-2024My brother-in-law and I have been using this for over 10 years on all of our cars and it seems to help in our rust-prone NE Ohio climate. Different garages have told both of us that our shocks/struts are leaking after using this, but its just been the Fluid Film. So be sure that they really are leaking before you replace them.

> 3 dayI am in a perpetual battle with rust. I live in Michigan, and buy older high mileage cars for my family. I have tried many rust converter products. A neighbor told me about this product, so I bought a gallon to give it a try. What I like about it is the ease of application. I keep the gallon close by whenever I go underneath any of my cars and give a brush to anything that looks like rust, or even the signs that it could become rust... From an application standpoint, it goes on easily, covers well, and when I have gone back under the vehicle for other work, it seems to be holding up well. Its my first year, so time will tell if it holds back the rust. That said, I have found nothing that works hands down. Some products slow the rust down, but I have found nothing that stops rust in its tracks. To give you an example of my yearly routine: Jack up the car on all four corners and remove the wheels: Wash the underbody, let it dry a few days, treat anything that looks like rust with a rust converter, give it a couple of days to dry, then retreat if required, or cover the treated area with rustoleum rust primer, give it a couple of days, then paint it with rustoleum shiny black paint. Then move to the next car, and the next car, and the next car. Repeat yearly. The one downside to this product that I can say so far, if it does not work, the are applied is oily/greasy and unlikely to be easily prepped for any other type of rust conversion/paint product.

21-11-2024It spreads out and adheres well. The smell of it is expected and I soon got used to it. I use the official spray gun and a pan compressor for best result . The spray gun and compressor are well worth it because they get it applied in everywhere. The spray gun also sprays into the frame holes to get inside. Each Fall, I rinse the under-carriage, let dry and then apply. 3 years in and no more rust creeping around.
