I liked that it was not hard to program. I didnt like that there was no other way to program it besides getting on a ladder and doing it physically. But I think that is a garage door thing and not a garage door opener thing.

I basically just want to help clarify for others before they make the mistake I did. I bought this remote assuming that it would work for my old Genie Bluemax garage opener. To my surprise, it didnt and wont work at all. Many of the Q&A I read, it seems people didnt know whether it would work for an old 9-12 dip switch opener...I am here to say IT DOESNT. Seems to have better range than original remote. Smaller. Uses much smaller battery. Came with clip to mount on visor or can put on key chain. Only thing did not like was the buttons do not click, mushy feel when pressed. Overall was a nice upgrade from old one.

Bought these to replace my original door openers that were 18 years old and becoming problematic. I had a GenieH4000A purchased in 2003. These remotes were so easy to install and were both installed within 30 minutes, start to finish. Would have taken less time if our reset button was on outside of door opener case, but we had to remove the cover plates on both doors first. Love these openers. Hopefully these openers continue to work well once we start using them on a daily basis. They are on the small side, will fit great in a purse, if necessary A big plus is now I have a remote that will work on either of my two garage doors rather than my husband and I both having to carry two larger door openers in our cars to have access to each garage door.
