After doing much research to find out which Genie products are compatible with the Overhead Door Phantom garage opener, I had to just order one and hope that it was the right one since there was nowhere specifically online that correlates what works with what. We have an Overhead Door Phantom garage opener with CodeDodger and Series II features (unsure of what year the opener is), and it works flawlessly and was very simple to program. So glad to have normal garage door remotes now to replace the broken single-button remotes that the previous homeowners left us.

Remote works great. Much better than the bigger 1 button remotes that came with the opener. I see some reviews saying it has terrible range. Not the case for me. This thing works from 2-3 houses away. Every time, with just one press. My opener is a Genie ProMax. Maybe the antenna is better on this model? Anyway range is good, works perfectly. I had to change it to intellicode 1, changing the green led to red. Only takes a few seconds. Im ordering another one since the original big remotes are pretty flaky. UPDATE: The original 1 button remotes dont work at all anymore. The two small ones I bought are still working great, from 2 houses down, one button press is all it takes. Im ordering two more, hope they work as well as the first two.

This will be great for anyone who needs a garage controller and prefers a compact size. It was easy to set up and it nestles nicely in my handbag when I go out. However, I am not used to the button(s). Theres no click feeling so sometimes it feels like Im not even pressing down on it. On the flip side, I like that its not as sensitive. My previous remote would open my garage even before I pressed down on it so I had to keep it in a box. This is also a good controller for those who need to program in more than one receiving box since there are 3 options. Works with pretty much all the latest Genie technology so I definitely recommend it as a replacement.

I misplaced one of our garage door opener remotes and needed to get a replacement. This one is just like the stock ones that came with it and was just as easy to program for my particular opener as the originals were.

Its name brand so just looked for best price. Big box and DIY stores, wake up and smell the coffee.
