> 3 dayAwesome replacement. I hide these in my cars under the dash with velcro. Out of sight from vandals and easy to access. Never have to worry about someone breaking into my car to gain access to my house through the garage. Small enough to hide or carry in your pocket on a key ring.

> 3 dayMy old remote radio signal was decreasing steadily. I had to get quite close to the operator and hold button for several seconds before operator would respond. This new remote is awesome! I can now open/close door from a greater distance than I have been able to in years. I should have replaced it sooner.

> 3 dayAfter doing much research to find out which Genie products are compatible with the Overhead Door Phantom garage opener, I had to just order one and hope that it was the right one since there was nowhere specifically online that correlates what works with what. We have an Overhead Door Phantom garage opener with CodeDodger and Series II features (unsure of what year the opener is), and it works flawlessly and was very simple to program. So glad to have normal garage door remotes now to replace the broken single-button remotes that the previous homeowners left us.

Greater than one weekOne thing that should be noted. It is a fine garage door opener, replacing another one, but it did not come with proper directions for my particular Genie opener, model #2060L-07. We googled it and my daughter found the instructions, which were very different than the ones included. It was still Very easy to set up.

> 3 dayWe couldnt not setup the homelink button on our car no matter how many times we tried with the other type of garage door opener remote by genie. While it worked flawlessly in opening closing the garage door, programming the homelink was impossible. This model however made programming the homelink button instant. If you are having problems with setting up your car homelink button with your current genie remote, get this right away.

Greater than one weekHad to buy this to replace one of the little dinky 10 year old ones that I lost right after we moved in our new home. The weird clip/holder for the original unit was flimsy and had obviously failed for the original owner. Since the clip was unreliable and only sporadically held onto the remote, I carried the remote in my pants or coat pocket. Now it must be somewhere out on the street laying where it landed when I sat down or reached in my pocket for something and it escaped unnoticed. The programming instructions with the new remote did not agree with the original programming instructions on the old unit. First try to program it failed. Second try failed. Tried both methods again. Based on the instructions, I was worried that trying to continually re-program the new one probably erased the codes stored in the other original dinky unit so I would now have two useless remotes. Finally, just before trying to return it, I gave it one last try and it worked. Both old dinky and new little-larger-than dinky are OK. I gave it 3 stars but changed it to 4 since the programming failures were probably operator error. Looks like it goes on your keyfob but its too big for that - I wish it was bigger so it would be harder to misplace.

> 3 dayNot sure where all the hate is coming from on these 1- and 2-star reviews. I bought 3 of these things, and they work great. Range has been no problem: I am often a block away when I press the button, and my door is already finished opening as I roll up to it. Impressive, considering it uses a battery the size of a quarter, and the unit is small and light enough to keep in your pocket. Programming worked fine with my older Genie opener. Ive occasionally had problems where I pressed the button twice and reversed the opening process, but that is rare. I was nearly scared off of ordering these units because of the numerous, highly-ranked reviews that panned this product. I am glad I went ahead and ordered it anyway. I suspect most of these problems are due to user-error. If you are not idiotic, you should have no problems with this opener.

Greater than one weekThis device seems well built and should hold up for a long time clipped to the visor or even on a keyring. It will probably even live through the occasional drops. It has three buttons, in case you have three door you need to open. What I didnt really like: We only have a single opener so the other buttons are a waste for me. But I didnt take a star off for that. I took it off because I couldnt program all three buttons to the same door. I didnt want to have to fumble around trying to find the right button so thought Id program all three to my one opener. Nope, didnt work. Still not a reason to knock off a full star, maybe half. The other thing I dont like is the feel of the buttons. I know that sounds picky, but seriously, they are thick rubbery material and its very hard to know when you have pushed the button far enough or not. There is no tactile click or anything like that, you are just smashing a piece of rubber down. So, not perfect for what I wanted or expected, but it does the job and the price was decent. Its a Genie brand too, not a knock off or universal type so thats a plus.
