> 3 dayLess than 6 months and its taken apart. The remote keeps falling off the hook. And have to press it multiple times & get very close (less than 3ft) to open the garage door.

> 3 dayI have had my original Genie garage door opener longer than I can remember. It finally died and I ordered this one as a replacement. The instructions were clear and setup was easy. Its performance is great. This one is not the cheapest option but if it gives me the same longevity as the last one I will be very satisfied.

> 3 dayThis product would be great..... if it actually worked on ALL Genie Door Openers as stated. !!! VERY IMPORTANT !! Before you order a new remote do the following: Verify that your Genie Garage Door Opener has a Learn or Program button. Most, but Not ALL have this button, therefore this remote will not work. I did finally find a Genuine Genie Remote that A) Operates multple openers and B) is programmable by use of DIP (9 or 12) switches. The home I just purchased was built in 2004 so I thought it was a safe to assume that the openers were built in roughly a couple years (+/-) and had the Learn/Prgram button. Gave the Genie remote customer service rep (via phone) the Model # and the issue of not being able to locate the LED Program/Learn light(s). After a couple minutes he indicated that there were some units built after 1997 that DID NOT have a learn/button, and therefore this remote could not be used. After all was said and done. I contacted Genie )via email) in search of a remote that would work as described above, New correct remotes on their way,,, Ill review them once programmed.

> 3 dayGENIE G3T-R 3-Button Remote. Range is very good. Buttons are the issue. Very, very light touch to activate. No click or tactile feedback that button has been pressed. If you carry your remote on a key chain or on your FOB ring, you will be triggering the remote when putting it into your pocket or purse. If the buttons were recessed or needed more pressure to activate this would not be a problem. I will be shopping for an alternate remote and discarding this one.

> 3 dayTo start... these are nice. Small! 3 separate buttons to program. They can be put on a key chain or you can attach the clip that comes with it to put this on a car visor or something like that. The only caution I have for this is the power. These are not strong. The programmable one built into my car can open and close my garage door from about twice as far away. Thats not to say I have to be standing AT the door for it to work. But 10-12 feet away is about as far as it reliably works for me.

> 3 dayBought this remote a week ago to use with two Genie openers from 2005, programmed the first opener no problem. Second one would just stay in learn mode and not “find” the remote. Tried using a different button for the first remote to eliminate a possible defective remote and it worked fine with the first remote. Tried the second opener with a different button and still no go. Then I notice a black box on the ceiling which is connected to the second remote and to make a long story short, the black box also has a learn button and flashing light like the opener itself. Used the learn button on it and voila, success. So if your opener is connected to one of those GIRUD black boxes, use the learn button on it and not the opener.
