I called the Genie company with a technical issue....both of my old remotes would not open the garage door even after re-programming. He concluded that they were shot and needed to be replaced. I asked him what the replacement cost would be from Genie, and he said approx $40 each. I thanked him and immediately got on Amazon to see if I could find replacement remotes for a more reasonable price....HENCE THIS PURCHASE! These babies work great....each and every time! If you need to replace your Genie remotes, I would strongly recommend you purchase this product...you will be so glad you did!

I bought one of these years ago and I still use it. I keep that one in my car but decided I want one for when I go walking in my neighborhood at night. I dont want to carry keys and my keypad at the garage is finicky (have to put the cover in a perfect position), and the remotes that came with the opener are too big to fit in small pockets. This little remote is easy to slip into a pocket, including the laser cut pocket on my favorite leggings. The extra button will be for my moms house, since she also has the same brand of opener.

This remote is small and easy to use. The programming is simple and fast. The only complaint I have is that there is about a 1 second delay so, sometimes I end up double clicking it trying to open the door. Other than that they have been great

Works well with an older Intellicode garage door opener. From a security point of view its apparently better to not leave your garage door opener in your car where it and details on your address can be stolen to facilitate a burglary. The Liftmaster controller we tried didnt work, even though the Liftmaster keypad we have *does* work with the Genie.

This remote works fairly well. The program method for Genie remotes is kinda weird but I got it to work. My main issue is that you have to be much closer than you would be when using one of the larger remotes (like the one that comes with the garage door motor). My roommate has the larger one and can use it about a 100 feet away, even one street over. By contrast, I have to be at the edge of the driveway for mine to work.

Shipped on Friday...got it on Tuesday! Following is how I programmed the two remotes I bought to have extras for my Genie Model ISD995 opener (9 years old): Reprogrammed first big button for Intellicode 1 (see package included instructions for how to do this)... THEN, push learn button on opener for one second, push remote button once (solid red light), wait for light to go out, push remote button a second time (solid red light)...AND you are done! Push remote button a third time and the garage door opens. Note: I tried programming all three buttons to work for my one garage for but the remote will only let you program one button for one door...so I chose the biggest button on the remote.

Shearched for ages for a small remote for my Overhead Door Legacy model opener. I found a larger two button some time ago that worked with it, and was looking for a smaller replacement. THIS IS IT. Tried for a few moments to connect it out of the package to no avail, then I checked to ensure noone was looking and I read the instructions. I had to change the programming to intellicode 1. This is as easy as holding the button down for ten seconds, then double clicking the same button. Went back to the garage door, hit the program button and now I have two awesome small remotes to put my postcard sized granny remotes in storage! When in doubt RTFM!

Remote is very easy to program and you can also program up to three different garage door openers for instance I programmed the garage door openers where I work so I can open the door to get into the building when getting out of my vehicle to go into work without having to insert my key in the outside lock to open the door as everyone else has to do to open the door. I have had good success with Genie products in the past as well and this remote has been no exception works very well from a good distance and is simple to program any Genie openers to the remote.
