> 24 hourUPDATE: Costumer service reached out to me and we are getting a refund! I am very impressed that they want to make it right. I upgraded my review from a 1 star because of their efforts. THANK YOU! This scale was not accurate for us. If I was not so crazy with a newborn, I would have reached out the company early and tried to figure out the issue. The free app is the best part for tracking babies diapers and feedings.

> 24 hourOur son was born at 31 weeks gestation and was the size of a 27 week old baby, due to a chromosomal defect affecting just the placenta. Because of this we were really worried about his weight gain. Hatch Baby has been a lifesaver. We weigh him every day at the same time to track his progress. It is so fun watching him gain each day. We have weekly appointments at the doctors office and the scale there always matches our Hatch Baby scale so I am confident in its accuracy. This is such a great tool for anyway wanting to track their babys weight/health.

> 24 hourOkay, so I LOVED this scale in the beginning. My son need to gain weight his first 6 weeks and being able to weigh him frequently put me at ease. I also found it to be super accurate. I loved that it’s a changing pad too, an amazing dual concept which was why I purchased it. The reason for 3 stars is that I think scale is great for about 9 months, or up until your baby can start really moving around. I went to weigh my son recently (he’s just over a year old now) and the app told me there was a “critical issue” and I needed to contact Hatch. The customer service rep told me that the instrument in the scale was damaged beyond repair and offered a 20% discount to buy a new one because my 1 year warranty had expired about 6 weeks prior. The rep went on to explain how delicate the scale instrument was and when too much pressure is applied it can break the weighing mechanism. She said that if someone accidentally puts their hand on it while bending down to pick something up, the pressure can break the weighing mechanism. What was even more frustrating is that the customer service rep was able to give me a date range of when the scale was damaged — which actually was during the time frame where it was under warranty. But they still wouldn’t honer it — rather they upped the discount offer to 50% for a new one. Here is the thing, the scale/changing pad had not moved at all during this supposed trauma period. The only possible thing that could have damaged the scale is my son himself. He hates diapers changes and constantly try’s to flip on his belly and kicks around. I feel like calling this a scale and changing pad is unfair if the weight and pressure of a squirming toddler can break the scale component. After reading some other reviews, it seems like I’m not the only one who has experienced this. I really wish the delicate nature of the weighing component was better communicated to the end consumer by Hatch.

> 24 hourExtremely displeased with this product and returning. The app requires an upgrade to even connect to the scale/pad, but refuses to udate. Ive tried everything to get it to connect and it continues to fail. I contacted the support desk via email and hear nothing waited a week and contacted again and nothing. Then I called their support number and got a message that they are no longer taking live calls. Without the app the scale feature is nonexistent so I have a 150 dollar piece of plastic with straps.

> 24 hourWorks great to calculate my preemies feedings. I was concerned he wasnt getting enough, and this helped me knpw what to give him in breastmilk bottle after feedings! It is accurate to within 0.25. I have tried it witk numerous household items to confirm it is registering close. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is that I have forgotten my phone more than a handful of times when I have taken my boy to change/weigh him. This scale will ONLY work and document weights if you have device (phone/tablet) to select option and initiate scale. There is no display for the weight on the scale, only on the app. He is a fussy baby already with diaper changes, so I dont like having to take longer than needed to feed him by getting phone again etc. I am going to set up my iPad and leave It next to scale. Only one device can be connected at once, but multiple devices can be logged in to see saved data. It is easy to zero out to include blanket to keep scale more warm for baby. It is super soft, but tends to get cool for my baby. Highly recommend still.

> 24 hourI could not be happier with this scale...I really couldnt. Our child is on the lower end of the weight percentiles. Every ounce matters...and we found that the time between doctors visits was too long to react to him not gaining weight. In comes Hatch! For not much more money than any other quality scale (basically double from a nice scale), you buy into a nice changing pad that is also a smart scale. I love the integration with the app. We were using the app Sprout before, but the Hatch app (which the scale needs to use) is a good stand in for sprout. If you are in the market for a smart scale, do not hesitate to buy this one. It is very much worth the premium in price.

> 24 hourLove love love this product! It saved us a follow up trip to a lactation consultant. As a first time, breastfeeding mom this changing pad gives me the information I need to know to monitor my babys weight gain at a frequency Im comfortable with - no more waiting months for the next doctors appointment! It also allows me to assess my activity and dietary choices to ensure my milk production is not negatively impacted. The pad fits well on a standard dresser top and Ive got not complaints in the look department. The pad is sleek and clean, also cleanups are quick and easy! The app is also super useful and straight forward to use. I can throw away all my diaper & feeding journal sheets of paper :D I just wish I had this from day 1 when I brought my baby home!

> 24 hourThis was the perfect changing pad for our nursery and knowing that it is also a scale makes it even better! It’s so great to be able to easily track our baby’s weight. We also use the app to track everything else!

> 24 hourThis is a must have for breastfeeding moms! Our daughter had a really tough time latching when she was first born. When we went her the first doctors appointment, we learned she was dehydrated and down to the 5th percentile on weight. This scale was the only way we could track how much she was eating and closely monitor her weight gain between doctors visits. It’s very easy to use and spot on with our doctor’s scale. The only downside is the app doesn’t allow you to connect multiple devices. A slight inconvenience if you and your partner want to manage weigh ins and track feedings.

> 24 hourI could not have been more disappointed in this scale! I wanted to love it and felt it was worth the expense IF it did what it promised, but when I discovered how INACCURATE it was, I returned it. On three occasions we weighed our newborn son on this scale, then went right to the pediatricians office where he was weighed, in the same diaper. This scale was off every time by 6-7 ounces. Also, doing the feed and weigh, it told me my son only fed 0.75 oz, so I supplemented more breastmilk with a bottle. Then he threw up what I had just bottle fed him, so I weighed him again and it said he had gained 3.5 oz.. I can weigh my son five times in a row and get varying weights by more than 3 ounces. If your baby has the correct amount of wet/solid diapers, then you dont need to be crazy weighing them daily or at every feeding. Our son dropped more than 12% in weight after birth because breastfeeding wasnt working out immediately and this scale still didnt help accurately weigh him. We had to use common sense to see he was getting dehydrated and needed emergency supplementation, despite what this scale said. Having such an inaccurate scale made us worry more than we should and I feel it is not safe to rely upon in the care of a newborn for any valid measurement.
