I am a first time mama! Before my little girl was born I was obsessed with preparing for her arrival with the best, most innovative products. Once she was born, I found that some products were unnecessary. But that was not the case with the smart changing table pad! It is truly innovative! The scale connects to an multi-purpose app that is both user-friendly and visually appealing. I love the convenient dual function that it provides as it combines two products in one; Both a diaper changing necessity and health monitoring tool! The size is nice as it will suit her even as she grows and will fit on top of any standard changing table. The scale was so helpful during the early weeks of breastfeeding with my little one. I was able to monitor how much breastmilk she was drinking by weighing her before and after a feed. It is so absolutely relieving to make sure she was getting the food she needs! This is a product that provides what you pay for and will get plenty of use! It is definitely not a product that will sit collecting dust in a closet. If you are a new mama, or the family/friends of one, questioning which baby purchases you will really value, make sure to get this one! Key takeaways: - easy to clean - style, form and function - gets frequent use - user friendly app - easy milk intake monitoring for breastfed babies - product that baby wont grow out of so fast - baby growth charts (fun and relieving) - Helps ease worry between doctor visits - bluetooth connection

As a breastfeeding mother with a baby that has reflux, feedings can be very difficult. My son would cry after every feeding, leaving me to wonder if hes still hungry or if its just the reflux. I knew I wanted a scale that could measure his feedings accurately and the Hatch advertises that it weighs to .25 ounces. However, I noticed early on that the scale was not accurate. At night, my baby is fed a bottle of pumped breast milk and I would always measure out 4 oz. in a bottle. However, when I would weigh my baby after the feeding, it consistently came up as 3.5 ounces. or even 3.25 ounces. I also once tried with a 1 ounce bottle and it showed up as taking in .5 ounces. When youre trying to calculate how much your baby is taking in per day over 8-10 feedings, a difference of .5-.75 ounces adds up. Some other cons: -Weight can only be checked with the app. This makes it easy to keep track of things as the data is stored on their app but its annoying at 2am when you cannot find your phone. Pros: -Great customer service -Sleek looking product -Nicely designed and easy to use app Ultimately, I decided to return this product due to the inaccuracy but would consider buying again if some enhancements were made to the product to fix it.

This scale works nicely, our doughter was born 4 weeks early so daily weighings were critical at the beginning, and we found it really easy to use. It functions well as a changing pad as well. The only problem for me (my wife mainly) is that you cannot turn off the bluetooth like you could on the old model! This is constantly sending out a bluetooth signal unnecessarily which may effect your baby, or at the very least is potentially effetcing them unecessarily when it could very easily have an on/off button (and while it technically passes all safety standards, there are NOT standards for babies or even children, only adults, so we do not yet know the long term effects of all this exposure to babies). It is too bad that they do not have a way to turn the bluetooth off while not in use for those of us concerned about limiting wifi, bluetooth etc. signals on a newborn, so we have resorted to taking the batteries out and putting them in when we want to use the scale part which is a pain.

LOVE. I bought this with the sole purpose of weighing my baby before and after nursing to see how much he was eating and it does an impeccable job. I was on the fence because I thought it was ridiculous to pay so much for a scale that I didn’t “need” and was more for peace of mind but I am SO glad I splurged and got this scale. The peace of mind is worth every penny of always knowing if he is eating enough. 4 stars because it is pretty hard and cold (but lightweight which is nice) so we keep a blanket on top of it so he is more comfortable during changes/weighing but the scale will 0 out with the blanket on there just fine. Just make sure not even a tiny corner of the blanket is touching the table surface and is 100% only on the pad because the scale is THAT sensitive which is great! Absolutely would recommend!

I love this hatch weight scale! It is nicely curved so it works great for diaper changes. Very easy to weigh her after changing as well. Super easy to clean. I was hesitant to get it at first because I felt it was a little unnecessary but overall happy I got it. It’s reassuring to know she’s growing well! The app works great with it and shows what percentile she is measuring at

Love this product! My intent was to breastfeed my little one. However, when I brought him home, we had several issues including tongue tie, lack of milk supply and difficulties latching. It was disheartening to see how much time we would spend breastfeeding without knowing the actual results on demand. We would have to wait for the pediatricians appt to know if we were successful or not with weight gain from breast feeding. This was super stressful for a new mom. With the hatch baby grow, I can effectively monitor weight gain and how much my little one is drinking with each breast feeding session! Highly recommend!

I LOVE this scale and if it weren’t for a couple issues I would give it 5 stars. It worked perfect for months then started having issues with getting accurate weights. Customer service said they were fine but there’s no way she lost two pounds in a day. Sometimes it works perfect sometimes it gives me crazy different readings back to back. Maybe it’s becuase she’s older now? The other thing I would love to see changed is if you could designate breastfed or not and use the WHO charts for breastfed babies if applicable. That would really make the app perfect. I love that I can monitor her intake, monitor loss when she’s sick and automatically plot her growth curve. My doc even loves it!

This scale might be fine if you generally want to track weight, but it’s not useful for weighted feedings to see how much baby is transferring from the breast. It is often inaccurate and even if I gave an ounce and a half in a bottle it would only register it as a half ounce, for example. As a changing pad, the grey is easy to clean but a little uncomfortable for baby.

Worst scale and a total rip-off! The scale broke after a year and a half and since the warranty is only a year they wouldn’t do anything for me except give me 20% off. The “loading cells” are so delicate , evidently moving it to clean can break them. Why advertise it as a changing station when it Is obviously going to take some kind of movement and “downward pressure”. It claimes to have a weight limit of 44 pds. Well I guess don’t put a heavy baby on it or let the baby kick. According to their email to me “Grow is damaged when more than 44lbs of pressure has been applied to the scale which breaks the weighing mechanism.” It claims to be accurate to .25 oz but I rarely got repeatable result and often had to take multiple measurements to even get an idea . It is known that this scale is one of the most inaccurate. This company exploits new parents who want to measure newborn feedings. I completely regret this purchase. If I had had more time and energy to do more research after my baby was born, I would have seen that they are not only one of the most innacurate but have the worst warranty for scales. I am assuming they want parents to repeatedly buy this after it breaks after warranty expires , or expect them to throw it away after a year if they have only one child . There are many scales that are much better. This thing for me now is nothing more than a overpriced changing pad. My advice is to either get the Health-o-meter grow with me which has a 10 YEAR WARRANTY or Hopkins Featherweight Baby Scale which has a 3 year warranty and graduations of .16 oz and is only 40 dollars more than the stupid Hatch grow. Or just take the time to do more research. I’ve heard you can rent professional grade scales and even for around 300 you can buy a professional grade scale. The Hatch grow is not durable and won’t last through multiple children . It didn’t even last through one child for me. No Hatch. I’m not going to use your 20% off to buy your product again. I’m not stupid enough to spend another 100 dollars to replace it when it is obviously just going to break again.

I bought this product because I am still recovering from labor and am unable to leave the house to do a weighted feed anywhere. My baby lost a bit too much weight between birth and the first pediatrician visit. I wanted to be sure she was eating enough and gaining enough weight between that visit and her one month visit. We had our one month visit today, and her weight is very consistent with what this scale has been showing. The consistent weights along with the weighted feeds works great. I was happily surprised that the scale locks on easily to the baby when shes wiggling. The weighted feed also appears to be accurate; I have done it several times over the last few days and it shows a range consistent with how long my baby is feeding and her weight/what she should be eating for her age. Considering this duals as a changing pad, I wish Id have bought this before buying a changing pad. As a scale alone, it does a great job. I will echo what others have mentioned on the cons side that opening the app can be annoying when you have a crying baby, but Im not sure what solution there is to that since the app also lets you log diapers, pumping, feeding, etc. Its a great app. It also does round to the .25 oz, which is fine for my baby because she wasnt a premie, but may not work for people who need more accurate amounts.
