I love the Hatch. It was a life changer. As a new mom and a first time mom I had a lot of trouble with breastfeeding. My baby had trouble nursing and I was going to the Dr. almost every day to nurse and weigh my baby. She was not gaining weight and the lactation consultants were basically telling me I had to give up. I ordered the Hatch when my baby was 3 months old and I was about to give up on breastfeeding. The day I got the Hatch changed my life. I weighed her before I nursed her and the scale told me she actually ate the right amount. I was in disbelief! The scale is super accurate and easy to use. After that day I continued to weigh her every time she nursed to check if she was eating enough. Shes now 6 months old and Im so happy I got the Hatch. I can see her growth progress from the day we got the Hatch and the percentile her weight is. I also love the app for all of the charts and graphs. Its super useful and helpful to understand her schedule.

Excellent and accurate scale that gives me huge peace of mind as to whether my baby is getting enough at each feeding. I previously bought (and have since returned) the $50 amazons choice scale which had different readings even within a few minutes and was unreliable. This scale works! You can either simply record weight or start/calculate a specific feeding, which is super helpful. It then will chart weight over time against percentiles. You can also track sleep, diapers in the app. The scale itself doesnt have a display on it so you must use the app to read the scale, FYI. Overall a great product!!!

I love this scale/changing pad! -It is so easy to clean -I love that you dont have to attach the safety straps -you can weigh baby so accurately -you can weigh baby before and after a feeding to see how much breastmilk baby is getting, helping mothers feel more confident in their breastmilk supply, but also leading to early detection of supply issues -the app is so simple to use, can have a profile for each baby and records all weights and feedings The only thing I dont like about it is it doesnt have an on/off switch, so I feel like the battery is always being used. We take the batteries out if were not going to use it for awhile. I still highly recommend this product.

    Greater than one week

This scale works nicely, our doughter was born 4 weeks early so daily weighings were critical at the beginning, and we found it really easy to use. It functions well as a changing pad as well. The only problem for me (my wife mainly) is that you cannot turn off the bluetooth like you could on the old model! This is constantly sending out a bluetooth signal unnecessarily which may effect your baby, or at the very least is potentially effetcing them unecessarily when it could very easily have an on/off button (and while it technically passes all safety standards, there are NOT standards for babies or even children, only adults, so we do not yet know the long term effects of all this exposure to babies). It is too bad that they do not have a way to turn the bluetooth off while not in use for those of us concerned about limiting wifi, bluetooth etc. signals on a newborn, so we have resorted to taking the batteries out and putting them in when we want to use the scale part which is a pain.

This scale costs 4x other baby scales but is accurate, reliable and comes with an app that is worth $100 in its own. So I look at this as an exceptional scale worth $100 that comes with an app worth $100 bundled together at a $50 discount. What’s not to live here? When you wake up at 2 am for a feeding and don’t which side was last or have long lost track of day of the week and how many , the app is golden, like your own feeding doula. Save yourself the trouble of logging the weight from other $50 scales I tried from Amazon and but the bullet on this beautiful piece of baby tech. Your sanity and sleep is worth many $100s.

Overall this is really nice scale, which we use as our primary changing pad in our nursery. The quality is top-notch, in particular the ability to easily clean it, and the integration with the hatch baby app is nice. We used this on a daily basis to track our sons weight gain until he was back up to birth weight, and having the scale integrated into the changing pad meant we could weigh him as we were changing his diapers, rather than having to do it separately. The accuracy also seems quite good, with weights being in line with what we get at the doctors office, plus or minus a quarter ounce. My one complaint is that it nails the advanced scenarios but falls short on a basic one: theres no read out of the weight on the device, which means you need to connect your phone or tablet via bluetooth in order to get the readout, and sometimes you just dont have that many hands. On the whole, though, its great.

Bought this scale to do weighted feeds for my breastfed baby. She lost 2 oz, after a feed, per the scale. I think this scale can give you a ballpark idea of how much your baby weighs, but I would rely on its accuracy.

First time mom here, I absolutely love this scale. I like being able to keep track of my baby’s weight in between check ups. The app that comes with it is easy to use and I love that I’m able to keep track of feedings and sleep too.
