> 3 dayI’ve had this system for 2 years now. I originally bought the camera and monitor but when my son got older and became a toddler we bought a second camera with a wide angle lens for the playroom. This system has worked great for us with little problems. I did have to replace the charger after a year as it didn’t work. But the battery itself was fine. My only complaint is that it doesn’t reach as far as it says. My sons room is upstairs on the opposite side of our 3600sq ft home from our master bedroom, and sometimes if I put my phone next to the monitor at night it will beep that it is out of range. Might just be the walls, but we also can’t walk past our neighbors house and watch either. We like to go over for a drink after bedtime to the house directly nextdoor to us (and our houses are like 10 feet apart). It works but only in certain parts of their house.

> 3 dayWe have used the Infant Optics DXR-8 for over 2 years. The image is great, including in darkness. We started having trouble with the monitor holding a charge a few months after using it. Then the monitor was making clicking sounds. After contacting customer support, they were able to walk me through readjusting the monitor battery. Since then, the monitor has held a charge fine. Also, after much support, it was determined that my camera was the source of the clicking that we were hearing from the monitor. Customer support was great! Even though I was about 2 years past my warranty, they replaced my camera, so it is no longer making the clicking sound. They went the extra mile to keep me as a customer, and I greatly appreciated that level of care.

Greater than one weekThis is a great baby monitor and the customer service provided is outstanding. I was unaware that the LEDs that provided night vision were not working on my camera until after the warranty had expired. After reaching out to customer service, they helped me troubleshoot the issue and when it couldn’t be fixed, they helped me to get a new camera. I can’t say enough good things about their customer service. Pros: -great night vision - zoom capability - stand alone monitor that is not connected to WiFi - ability to turn off screen but still hear sound - great sound and picture quality - great customer service Cons: - occasional loss of signal when streaming videos over WiFi - limited range between camera and monitor - does not filter out white noise

> 3 dayOverall a great camera monitoring system. Range was tested up to 100 yds and worked with no issues with antenna up. The temp reading seems to be a bit higher (2-4 degrees) than actual ambient room temp. Purchased an additional camera to go with the system to be able to monitor 2 rooms, the scan feature of having the cameras automatically switch between is a great feature as well is the ability to talk through the camera. The only CON that I can see is wireless devices in the area can cause a drop in signal to either the camera or the base station. But if you move the monitor or camera away from any WIFI devices a few feet seems to mitigate the issue.

> 3 dayWe purchased this as a second camera for our Infant Optics DXR-8. It’s very easy to add cameras with this system. The picture and sound quality is excellent, and we can easily keep an eye on the kids via the monitor from all parts of house, including the basement. The range even includes our back patio. The battery life is much better than our previous monitor, which always needed to be plugged in after an hour or so. We did have an issue with the night vision degrading significantly after almost a year of use. However, the Infant Optics customer service rep I worked with was very understanding and replaced both our cameras, even the one we had lost the receipt for. After going to battle with a different manufacturer over our last monitor, I have to say it was a breath of fresh air to have a company simply do the right thing. We’re very satisfied with our purchase.

> 3 dayEasy to pair and great quality like the one that came with the monitor but not happy with integration of the add on. Basically you either have to choose which camera you want to look at or scan them. So if camera one is scanning and on my sons room but my daughter starts crying I have to wait for it to switch to her room. It is based on a timer and not on noise. So you have no idea what’s going on in the other room when looking at a different room. So a few times my daughter is crying (I can hear her through the wall) but by the time the camera gets to her room she takes a breath to cry again but by the time she cries the camera switches back to her brother and I can’t hear her on the monitor. I wish I played audio from both and would switch to which everyone is making noise. If no noise is present it would scan. In general it’s fine for now

03-06-2025We bought our first monitor for our son two years ago. We never realized the infrared sensor was not working and therefore, the night vision was poor. We thought it was just the system, so we stuck with it in order to avoiding purchasing a whole new monitor system with a different brand. Our second son was born recently and we purchased an add-on camera. We couldn’t believe the difference in quality. We called the company and that was when we realized the sensor must have come damaged with our original camera. However, since the one year warrantee had lapsed, they could offer us a 50% discount for a replacement. Customer services was quick and responsive. We did need to buy a separate zoom lens and battery replacement (with a much longer life), as well as a wall mount. Seen below: -Zoom lens: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ECGX24E/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -Battery replacement: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074J5B2LW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -Wall mount: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RZCRW7X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I do wish it came with the technology to automatically switch to the room where a child is crying or making noise as opposed to always remaining on scan. In addition, it would be nice to be able to access the monitor though an app on my phone so I did not always need to bring the monitor with me (the range does reach a little outside the house).

> 3 dayI love this camera/monitor for my kids. I just bought a second camera for my second baby. The quality is great and I love that I know the temperature in the room. It’s also nice that you can put the screen on sleep but still have sound. Pairing an extra camera is very easy and the monitor switches between the two cameras every few seconds if you put it on scan. Super helpful since it doesn’t do a split screen. The monitor beeps when it can’t connect to the camera and when it’s running low on battery. Our power went out in the middle of winter in the middle of the night and it woke me immediately beeping because it couldn’t connect to the camera. We were able to bring the baby to our room, start a fire and prep the generator while the house was still warm. It got down to 20 degrees that night. Thankful my baby didn’t get cold.
