> 3 dayThis monitor system was great for almost two years. For the last few weeks though, the buttons on the display unit have been less and less reactive. I had to push each button 2 to 3 times to get any kind of response. Around the same time, I started having problems getting it to charge.I had to use a rubber band to put pressure on the connection. I tried different chargers and even purchased a different battery to see if this would help. It did not. I contacted customer service and was told that it was out of warranty, but they did offer me a decent discount on a new monitor/camera set. I took them up on the offer, since I already had two cameras that still worked perfectly fine. I would have given this unit 5 stars, but I feel that 2 years is not long enough for the price.

> 3 dayI am thoroughly pleased with the infant optics dxr8 monitor I had bought after intense research for my first born in 2017. 4 years already and its working so well. I have a 7 month old now and because of separate rooms for both kids I needed an add on camera. Setup was so easy. Night vision is fine, picture quality is the same as the one I already own and switching between cameras is super easy. Overall a great purchase. Inwould recommend the product.

> 3 dayWeve been using this monitor for a few days now in our toddlers room and so far we really like it. Some of the best features so far are the fact that the lowest brightness level on the parent handset screen is pleasantly low so it doesnt blind you when looking at it in the dark at night; the camera pan and tilt gives a great view of almost all of our sons bedroom; the controls on the parent handset are intuitive and easy to use; the volume control has low enough levels for use at night time, again so it doesnt jolt you awake in the middle of the night when our son makes a small noise. This is a definitely upgrade from our previous baby monitor, and we are looking forward to using it in our new babys room as well.

> 3 dayI would highly recommend this product to any of my friends and family. The camera and monitor is extremely easy to install and very user friendly. I just recently added an additional camera and it was very simple to set up. Their customer service is also exceptional and very efficient! I needed a new charger cable for my second camera and got a replacement within a few days. I was blown away with how easy they made it to contact them and resolve my issue. I highly recommend this baby monitor.

> 3 dayThis camera was perfect for our first kid! However, it’s not ideal for two kids. We bought the extra camera, and connecting to the monitor was very easy. The part that I don’t like is the “scan” feature which is supposed to go back and forth between the kids room and it does just that but not all the time. I’ll set it on scan when I put our kids to bed, and an hour later it will stop scanning and just stay on whichever room it was on. I found this out the hard way when I couldn’t hear my new baby crying cause the “scan” was stuck on my toddlers room. It will still say it’s in scan, but it’s not scanning. So before I go to bed I have to just put it on the babies room. Thankfully 99% of the time my toddler sleeps through the night. It’s annoying that it doesn’t scan all the time. If I would have know this I would of bought a split screen monitor system.

> 3 dayWe first ordered the camera and monitor set and then the add-on camera, and have been using it for the past 6 weeks and really like it. The picture is very clear whether it is day or night. If you zoom x2 it gets a little fuzzy but I still utilize it and I think the quality is good for how close you can zoom in. The best feature is the span on the camera, I can span the entire room from the monitor, an awesome feature, you can place the camera in one spot and not move it even if you move furniture around or if you have a toddler you are watching. The only thing I would like to see improved would be the battery life, if i charge it right before i put my daughter down it will last about 8-9 hours with use of the monitor, but to be safe i just keep it on the charger all night long.

> 3 dayHands down this is the best baby monitor on the market and the best company. I had my first camera and monitor for 2 years- it has survived my toddler throwing it across the room multiple times when I had it sitting on his crib (it is now where he cant reach it). I love the thermometer on it, I look at it constantly- It made me realize my sons room had a heating/cooling problem that we had the HVAC company come out to correct. I love the how much it can turn- I can literally see my toddler in his room anywhere in his room when he gets out of bed and zoom in as close on my baby to even see him breathing. I now have a second child and bought the add on camera. I love the scan mode that it goes back and forth between cameras every few seconds. My monitor charging port broke a few weeks before my second son was born and wouldnt charge anymore, even though I was a year out of warranty Infant Optics replaced it free of charge. I received the replacement in 2 days too! I dont think I could survive without this camera.

> 3 dayUpdate on 12/15/2020: The replacement monitor that was provided by the company, under warranty, failed at just 1 year, the screen freezes and I have to remove the battery and disconnect the power to reset it before putting it back to turn on again. Imagine your child crying and you have no idea because the monitor froze in the middle of the night. Customer service says its out of warranty, fair enough, but dont expect to buy this and use it for more than 1 year, 3-ish years max if it failed in the warranty period and they replace it for you. They offer me either to pay 45 to repair it, which includes shipping or 50% off to buy the new monitor. Imagine buying an Iphone and it fails after the warranty period is over and you have to pay to repair it or buy a new one at a discount, without assurance that it will last more than 1 year. This unit is not cheap and $165 for monitor and camera, then another $100 for an additional camera. I paid close to $300 for this thing and now its worthless. Correction to my initial review, not worth buying anymore. Original review: I purchased this about a year and a half ago when my twins were born, plus the additional camera so I could have one camera on each child. Recently, the monitor unit would not turn on and I was outside the warranty period. I contacted customer service and they walked me through a couple of steps to test the unit and see if we could reset it, that failed. They were so kind to provide me a replacement unit, I had to ship the broken one back. Kristine was very helpful throughout the whole process and walked me through everything step by step. One of the features I particularly like about this unit is the temperature monitor, since temperatures can differ from room to room, it allows me to adjust the thermostat accordingly so it doesnt get too hot for them in the summer or too cold for them in the winter. Picture quality is really good, quality is affected by the distance, so test how far you want to place the camera before mounting it, mine are mounted on the wall pointing downward. This is an expensive unit, but good product and good company. Worth buying.

31-03-2025We own a monitor and camera from Infant Optics. Both have worked perfect for over two years. We are very happy with the quality of the image, microphone function, speaker, battery life, and range of antenna signal. We decided to buy a second camera and had problems with it from the beginning. We contacted customer service and they quickly helped us troubleshoot the problem we were having. In the middle of trying to figure out what was going on with the camera, we had to move homes, the pandemic started, life got crazy and we lost track of the situation. After many months, we attempted to start using the camera again and the same problem we were having before continued, rendering the camera useless. We contacted Infant Optics, and they quickly picked up the situation right where we had left-off months ago. The company stood behind their product and provided a replacement camera. We received the replacement camera quickly and in perfect condition, and it works as well as our first camera. Incredible customer service! I strongly recommend this product.
