> 3 dayWe have two cameras and one monitor. Weve been using them for about two months. Pros: - You can remotely move the camera. Great especially for toddlers who move around. Also you can mount the camera once and never have to touch it again, its always in the right place! - Good sound and picture quality. (Note there is no white noise deduction, though this doesnt bother me as much as I thought it would.) - Battery and transmission distance good. Although it seems like the battery will go from four bars to one really fast, it lasts for a while. - When you talk through the monitor the sound is clear. - You can zoom remotely. - Works well with multiple cameras, although no split screen you can set it to scan (switch views every 10 seconds). - Eady to use and great customer service! Cons: - There is no charging dock. Therefore it is easily to bend/damage the charging cable. Youll have to buy another. Also the plug is on the left side so depending which way you set it the cable can get in the way. - The low battery/no signal beep is annoyingly loud and you cant adjust it. There is no loud noise alert beep you just have to listen for crying. - The wide angle lens is great for viewing the entire room but the night vision quality with this lens is pretty bad. Night vision is fine with the other lenses.

20-11-2024We have used the Infant Optics DXR-8 for over 2 years. The image is great, including in darkness. We started having trouble with the monitor holding a charge a few months after using it. Then the monitor was making clicking sounds. After contacting customer support, they were able to walk me through readjusting the monitor battery. Since then, the monitor has held a charge fine. Also, after much support, it was determined that my camera was the source of the clicking that we were hearing from the monitor. Customer support was great! Even though I was about 2 years past my warranty, they replaced my camera, so it is no longer making the clicking sound. They went the extra mile to keep me as a customer, and I greatly appreciated that level of care.

Greater than one weekWe have used InfantOptics cameras for a few years now and love them. The second camera is easy to pair and we like only having one monitor screen. We have had a few issues with the battery life on the monitor and customer service was able to walk me though how to reset it and now it works perfectly again! We also had some nightvision fading with our first camera and customer service was able to replace that camera for free. They are incredibly helpful if there are any issues. These products have stood up well and are a great value! Theyre also easy to travel with if you need to- we pack our camera and monitor on vacation with us and theyre easy to set up in a new location as well.

Greater than one weekWorks great. We bought the original system 3 years ago for my son. Was a little worried this camera wouldnt connect but decided to try rather than buy a whole new system. Great news, it connected!

> 3 dayThis unit is perfect for caring due my elderly parent with Alzheimer’s. I have 4 cameras and one monitor. I can easily switch from one room to another which will allow me to get something done while knowing where he is and that he’s safe. I’ve even been able to go water the garden and feed chickens outside 70-90 feet away from the house with no issues. I honestly can’t review the zoom cuz I’ve never used that, but both daytime and nighttime are clear, easy to hear, able to scan the entire room, and able to help me sleep at night knowing I can check on him from my own bed. I tried another brand and I loved that the screen on the monitor was much larger, but when I would go outside I could not see him well if he was in a dim room and couldn’t make it to the garden or chicken coop without it disconnecting. I prefer this brand.

> 3 dayI have had several different brands of baby monitors in the past 4 years and this one is by far my favorite. It has all of the abilities that are important to me in a bay monitor...pan-tilt-zoom, the ability to toggle between several rooms, temperature gauge, the ability to be speak from the parent unit to the camera, great battery life etc. I had this unit for a little over a year when the power button stopped working. I called Infant Optics and they went through the troubleshooting process with me and determined that it needed to be replaced. I was technically a month out out of the warranty, but the customer service representative who helped me with this case was kind enough to replace it for free anyways. She was even able to get me expedited 2-day shipping (worth about $10) for free and I got my replacement unit extremely quickly, which is important when you want to be able to see and hear your children. I have honestly never had a better experience with customer service from any company before. The woman I spoke to truly went above and beyond to rectify the situation. I can say without any hesitation that I would highly recommend this product and this company!

> 3 dayWhy did I wait to buy this monitor?!? I really wanted a monitor that had it all (including WiFi capabilities) with a parent module. So because this monitor didn’t have WiFi, I went with a Motorola instead. Although the picture on the Motorola parent module was amazing, I went through three different returns before finally giving up on the MP4 model. The sound went out on one and the other two I had troubles with charging because the port was cheaply constructed. Finally, after every review basically said this monitor was the best, I bought it. Why why why was I reluctant? It really is the best! The picture is great, the sound is great, I love all the features. And I really don’t miss WiFi like I thought I would. If you are like me and really don’t want to use your phone as your parent module, this really is the best monitor!!!!

Greater than one weekEasy to pair and great quality like the one that came with the monitor but not happy with integration of the add on. Basically you either have to choose which camera you want to look at or scan them. So if camera one is scanning and on my sons room but my daughter starts crying I have to wait for it to switch to her room. It is based on a timer and not on noise. So you have no idea what’s going on in the other room when looking at a different room. So a few times my daughter is crying (I can hear her through the wall) but by the time the camera gets to her room she takes a breath to cry again but by the time she cries the camera switches back to her brother and I can’t hear her on the monitor. I wish I played audio from both and would switch to which everyone is making noise. If no noise is present it would scan. In general it’s fine for now

Greater than one weekWe’ve gone through three of these monitors in three years. The first one didn’t hold a charge after a few months of use. The second, same issue. We ordered a replacement battery, it still wouldn’t stay charged and always had to be attached to the wall charger. The third has worked better for us, however often drops the signal in our home. Very annoying, especially when we get the ‘out of signal range’ beep over and over in the middle of the night, when we’re right next to our kids’ room. Overall, I’m happy with the monitor - picture quality is good and I like the fact that you can have multiple cameras. Also like that I can talk through the monitor. Just a few small (annoying) bugs that may need to be worked out.
