> 3 dayWe bought this monitor to replace a cheaper one that we absolutely hate. I was seeking a monitor that had clear picture and sound but also that allowed the screen brightness to dim or brighten as I like leaving the monitor on at night but hate how bright they are. I also needed a monitor that could show the whole darn crib. Our old one had a cord that was too short to raise the camera any further so there was no way to capture the entire crib. Seriously? So, needless to say, this one is a major and drastic improvement. I appreciate the large screen size, the ability to switch to different cameras, the ease of turning up and down the volume, the scan feature, the long length of the camera cord, and the ability to change screen brightness.

> 3 dayOverall a great camera monitoring system. Range was tested up to 100 yds and worked with no issues with antenna up. The temp reading seems to be a bit higher (2-4 degrees) than actual ambient room temp. Purchased an additional camera to go with the system to be able to monitor 2 rooms, the scan feature of having the cameras automatically switch between is a great feature as well is the ability to talk through the camera. The only CON that I can see is wireless devices in the area can cause a drop in signal to either the camera or the base station. But if you move the monitor or camera away from any WIFI devices a few feet seems to mitigate the issue.

> 3 dayVery easy to add onto my current camera and monitor set up i purchased previously for our first child in 2017. The whole system is great. The night vision is good (not super great if over 7ft away because it gets a little grainy), the sound is great (I personally keep mine running on low and plugged in all night so I can hear my toddler who is on a different level of our home) and the talk feature is awesome. I love being able to flip through the different cameras or have it just stay on one all night. Very easy to set up and use. I had an issue with my power cord and the customer service is AWESOME. They will communicate with you over the phone, chat, text or email. I chose email and had an answer within 12 hour and a resolution just as quickly. No cost replacement of my power cord and it came within 2 days. Great experience all around. Good product good company, happy customer. End of story!

> 3 dayUpdate on 12/15/2020: The replacement monitor that was provided by the company, under warranty, failed at just 1 year, the screen freezes and I have to remove the battery and disconnect the power to reset it before putting it back to turn on again. Imagine your child crying and you have no idea because the monitor froze in the middle of the night. Customer service says its out of warranty, fair enough, but dont expect to buy this and use it for more than 1 year, 3-ish years max if it failed in the warranty period and they replace it for you. They offer me either to pay 45 to repair it, which includes shipping or 50% off to buy the new monitor. Imagine buying an Iphone and it fails after the warranty period is over and you have to pay to repair it or buy a new one at a discount, without assurance that it will last more than 1 year. This unit is not cheap and $165 for monitor and camera, then another $100 for an additional camera. I paid close to $300 for this thing and now its worthless. Correction to my initial review, not worth buying anymore. Original review: I purchased this about a year and a half ago when my twins were born, plus the additional camera so I could have one camera on each child. Recently, the monitor unit would not turn on and I was outside the warranty period. I contacted customer service and they walked me through a couple of steps to test the unit and see if we could reset it, that failed. They were so kind to provide me a replacement unit, I had to ship the broken one back. Kristine was very helpful throughout the whole process and walked me through everything step by step. One of the features I particularly like about this unit is the temperature monitor, since temperatures can differ from room to room, it allows me to adjust the thermostat accordingly so it doesnt get too hot for them in the summer or too cold for them in the winter. Picture quality is really good, quality is affected by the distance, so test how far you want to place the camera before mounting it, mine are mounted on the wall pointing downward. This is an expensive unit, but good product and good company. Worth buying.

Greater than one weekWe have used the Infant Optics DXR-8 for over 2 years. The image is great, including in darkness. We started having trouble with the monitor holding a charge a few months after using it. Then the monitor was making clicking sounds. After contacting customer support, they were able to walk me through readjusting the monitor battery. Since then, the monitor has held a charge fine. Also, after much support, it was determined that my camera was the source of the clicking that we were hearing from the monitor. Customer support was great! Even though I was about 2 years past my warranty, they replaced my camera, so it is no longer making the clicking sound. They went the extra mile to keep me as a customer, and I greatly appreciated that level of care.

Greater than one weekInfabt optics is a great monitor! I had Motorola prior to this and it worked great, but only lasted a year as the monitor constantly shut off and made very loud noises. The infant optics is easy to use and is great to scan between rooms. The option to scan is awesome, I believe it stays on each room for about 10-12 seconds. We have yet t use the wide angle lense but plan on doing so in the next few months (I’ll write another review then). One last thing, the customer service is SUPERB! We had an issue with our camera (somehow had static noise when it was in one room), so they troubleshooted with me and even checked in on me after a few days without responding. The problem didn’t resolve after a few adjustments so they sent me a new camera, which is working perfectly! It’s nice to have a company that is willing to work with you. Did I mention that they sent me the new one first, so I wouldn’t be out of a camera? So happy with product and company

> 3 dayI have had this camera for over a year and have tried multiple brands and this one is by far the best. I wish I could write this review on the actual system but my sister bought it for me so I can only leave my review on the additional camera. Anywhos, after a year or so I noticed that one of my cameras wasn’t working in the dark anymore and I reached out to customer service after realizing I was out of the warranty window I just thanked the customer service agent for their time and planned on purchasing a new camera in the future (the sound still worked great and day time picture worked too just not night time). A few weeks later I received a message from that agent regarding my issues and even though I was slightly over my warranty he worked with me and sent me a new camera! I was beyond grateful that he continued to message me after I had done gone about my business and saved me $100. I am about to purchase another additional camera as we are expecting another baby but you honestly can’t beat their product or service. The ability to add up to 4 cameras and change out lens to meet your needs is super handy!

> 3 dayI have had this monitor since my first child, 3years ago, and absolutely love it! The quality is the best I’ve seen of all my friends different brand monitors. The picture quality and sound is amazing. I love the ease of camera add on and how it scans my kids rooms. Customer service has always been extremely helpful when needing assistance! I would absolutely buy again and recommend to all new moms!

> 3 dayWe have two cameras and one monitor. Weve been using them for about two months. Pros: - You can remotely move the camera. Great especially for toddlers who move around. Also you can mount the camera once and never have to touch it again, its always in the right place! - Good sound and picture quality. (Note there is no white noise deduction, though this doesnt bother me as much as I thought it would.) - Battery and transmission distance good. Although it seems like the battery will go from four bars to one really fast, it lasts for a while. - When you talk through the monitor the sound is clear. - You can zoom remotely. - Works well with multiple cameras, although no split screen you can set it to scan (switch views every 10 seconds). - Eady to use and great customer service! Cons: - There is no charging dock. Therefore it is easily to bend/damage the charging cable. Youll have to buy another. Also the plug is on the left side so depending which way you set it the cable can get in the way. - The low battery/no signal beep is annoyingly loud and you cant adjust it. There is no loud noise alert beep you just have to listen for crying. - The wide angle lens is great for viewing the entire room but the night vision quality with this lens is pretty bad. Night vision is fine with the other lenses.

> 3 dayI got this monitor because our other broke shortly before our second baby arrived. I was so happy with how much better quality the picture was than with our previous camera which was terrible! I also loved being able to have multiple cameras for the monitor. Everything was going perftly until late week the monitor stopped working. I was a little annoyed, naturally. But when I reached out to customer service they were quick to tak me through the process to get a replacement shipped out! They were amazing. I just received the replacement today and I’m so happy to have it back. I highly recommend this monitor. The quality is amazing and you can’t beat the customer service!
