This monitor system was great for almost two years. For the last few weeks though, the buttons on the display unit have been less and less reactive. I had to push each button 2 to 3 times to get any kind of response. Around the same time, I started having problems getting it to charge.I had to use a rubber band to put pressure on the connection. I tried different chargers and even purchased a different battery to see if this would help. It did not. I contacted customer service and was told that it was out of warranty, but they did offer me a decent discount on a new monitor/camera set. I took them up on the offer, since I already had two cameras that still worked perfectly fine. I would have given this unit 5 stars, but I feel that 2 years is not long enough for the price.

Very easy to add onto my current camera and monitor set up i purchased previously for our first child in 2017. The whole system is great. The night vision is good (not super great if over 7ft away because it gets a little grainy), the sound is great (I personally keep mine running on low and plugged in all night so I can hear my toddler who is on a different level of our home) and the talk feature is awesome. I love being able to flip through the different cameras or have it just stay on one all night. Very easy to set up and use. I had an issue with my power cord and the customer service is AWESOME. They will communicate with you over the phone, chat, text or email. I chose email and had an answer within 12 hour and a resolution just as quickly. No cost replacement of my power cord and it came within 2 days. Great experience all around. Good product good company, happy customer. End of story!

This is our second purchase of these cameras. We bought one for our daughter and an add on camera when our son was born. We love it and it’s easy to use. We like that it does not require Wi-Fi. Great quality product. We are able to scan from camera to camera to view our children at night. Sound quality is great too.

This is a very good monitor. I have twins and the best part about it is that is automatically scans between cameras (I bought a second camera). It was super easy to set up and also very easy to use. After using it for about 6 months, the power cord wasnt connecting well with the monitor. It wouldnt charge unless I held it close and wrapped it around the monitor multiple times. I called Infant Optics to explain the situation. They immediately replaced the monitor without any hassle. Their policy is to send your old one in first and then get the new one sent. I asked if they could send me the new one first since I really needed a monitor with my twins! They were super accommodating and the new monitor works perfectly. The only reason it isnt 5 stars is that one of our cameras makes a slight buzzing sound. The other one doesnt though, so it isnt a flaw with all the cameras. It still works perfectly fine, it just is a slightly annoying sound!

Pros: Easy to hook up second camera. Night vision looks good. Picture quality is good. Comes with needed cable. I like that we can have both cameras hooked to the same monitor and that it does not use WiFi Cons: only comes with lens hood, not the extra zoom lens the original came with. I wish the scan feature was more intuitive and could tell when a camera was on/off rather than needing to change the setting from scan when both kids were sleeping to view camera 1/2 when only one of the kids were sleeping and have the camera on.

Overall, this camera is great value (good quality for low cost). The picture quality, battery life, and overall ease of use are all excellent. The reason for holding back on the 5th star is due to the brightness on the night vision mode. The sheets in our baby’s bassinet (and crib) are all white and a highly reflective material, thus the night vision shows up on screen extremely bright (even on the lowest brightness level/setting). Accordingly, the brightness of the night vision causes some eye strain when taking a peek in the middle of the night. The only other comment/observation I have is related to the built in temperature sensor. Although it seems like a relatively handy feature, and the sensor seems fairly accurate, it’s only useful if your camera is mounted close to the baby’s sleeping area. In our nursery, the camera is mounted near the ceiling, high above the crib. Because of that, the temperature always appears to be 3-5 degrees higher than the actual temp near the baby(Heat rises), so if you intend to place this camera more than 3-5 feet away from the baby, I’d recommend buying an alternative temperature sensor, as you won’t be able to reliably utilize the temperature reading.

UPDATE: I absolutely HATE this monitor system. First, this company is inflating their reviews by including a message in the box for the device that asks customers to post a review in exchange for a free second camera (valued at $99 here on Amazon). We played along because we needed a second camera. I hate that I’m probably part of what has made this company so successful. My best friend just bought this monitor because of the reviews even though I continue to talk her into returning it! Ugh! The picture on this monitor is awful quality! We used to have a Summer monitor that was so much better quality. I do like the interchangeable wide angle lens (the only thing I like—which you’ll pay an extra $20 to own). I hate that the speaker for this unit is on the BACK! You have to lay it on its face to hear at night. Standing it up risks it falling over and you not being able to hear. But if you are worried about hearing your kids, you shouldn’t buy from this company at ALL! We just discovered today that if you have the monitor on scan and a camera gets unplugged, it stays on that camera (the unplugged one) and STOPS scanning. We woke up to find our baby covered in dried vomit. It was everywhere like he had been crying for us. Did we hear him? No. By strange coincidence, the monitor in my daughter’s room was unplugged. The monitor was only showing her unplugged warning screen instead of switching to my son’s room. What a terrible flaw! In the product’s defense, I had turned off the alarm feature (not understanding it). I turned the alarm back on high and recreated the scenario to find out that the unplugged monitor does create an alarm, but the camera stays on the warning screen and does stop scanning. So angry about my baby being put through all that. If you still decide to buy this piece of junk, don’t turn the alarm off ever! But seriously, find something else. I am so sorry we bought this and even sorrier that we kept it after we realized this company was scamming the Amazon reviews! INITIAL REVIEW: We purchased this monitor system over the weekend and found the set up was easy. We added on an additional camera today to try the whole thing out and it seems to work well for us so far. Pairing the new camera was simple. I like how the camera can point at a lower angle than our previous Summer monitor. Downsides are that I wish it could do split screen and automatically stay on a camera if sound is detected. I prefer that instead of scanning. Another downside is that the monitor light seemed a bit bright in our room last night. I wish there were a way to turn it down or off. Overall though, it appears to be at least as good as our old Summer monitor and probably a bit better.

We purchased a second add-on camera for our second baby’s room. I’ve never owned another monitor so I can’t compare, but I do really like the features this camera and monitor offer. The ability to view my babies without having to just rely on noises alone makes this monitor well worth the money! It has a good range of motion for when my older son rolls around in his bed. My only complaints are that after a year the monitor will stop working and the screen will display a signal out of reach screen, even though everything is powered on and was just working. I took the battery out and let it sit for 20 mins as the manufacturer suggests, but within another week or so it started doing it again. I’m not sure if this is from the battery being plugged in for too long, but it is annoying because it sometimes stays on that screen for 3 or more minutes and powering on and off doesn’t resolve the issue, you just have to wait for it to reconnect. My other complaint is that on our first camera (the one we’ve had for over a year now) the port at which the cord plugs into the camera seems to be somewhat loose now and we have to wrap the cord around the camera with the antenna holding it in place to keep it connected. There are also times on that camera where the picture isn’t as clear, which maybe could be caused by the cord connection, but it’s just odd that one time the picture is great and the next it’s a tad blurry when the camera hasn’t been touched. Overall I’m very happy with this camera and monitor set.

This product is wonderful. I have been using it for three months. It allows me to see my child during the day and at night in his room. We bought this camera to use with the Infant Optics monitor we have for the camera in our daughters room. It was very easy to sync this camera with the monitor we already had. And the monitor is easy to operate between both cameras. We use the original lens that came with this camera since we are viewing a baby in his crib. It is perfect or keeping an eye on him. The night vision works well. I have not had any issues with this camera. It rotates around the room when buttons are pushed on the monitor. So, I am able to move the camera if my baby moves. I am also able to talk through the monitor to my baby. The speaker on the monitor and camera are very clear. Please feel free to select below whether this review was helpful to you.

We have two cameras and one monitor. Weve been using them for about two months. Pros: - You can remotely move the camera. Great especially for toddlers who move around. Also you can mount the camera once and never have to touch it again, its always in the right place! - Good sound and picture quality. (Note there is no white noise deduction, though this doesnt bother me as much as I thought it would.) - Battery and transmission distance good. Although it seems like the battery will go from four bars to one really fast, it lasts for a while. - When you talk through the monitor the sound is clear. - You can zoom remotely. - Works well with multiple cameras, although no split screen you can set it to scan (switch views every 10 seconds). - Eady to use and great customer service! Cons: - There is no charging dock. Therefore it is easily to bend/damage the charging cable. Youll have to buy another. Also the plug is on the left side so depending which way you set it the cable can get in the way. - The low battery/no signal beep is annoyingly loud and you cant adjust it. There is no loud noise alert beep you just have to listen for crying. - The wide angle lens is great for viewing the entire room but the night vision quality with this lens is pretty bad. Night vision is fine with the other lenses.
