> 24 hourThis is the worst software ever -- I tried 6 times to transfer from a Windows 7 machine to a new Windows 10 machine. The software hung up multiple times and had to be restarted. Once the Laplink PC mover Pro finished analyzing the old machine and began the transfer to the new machine, it hung up due to network error (?? my network was fine). Restarted one last time and left running overnight only to find in the AM that the program was still calculating the time required to transfer files from the old machine. Went to use the old machine only to find out that if had no sound. Had to fix that. Uninstalled Laplink PCmover Pro -- I will save myself the Laplink headaches and set up the new computer the old fashioned way. You should save yourself some grief and do the same. You will be happier.

> 24 hourBuyer beware! Dont bother with this. The first run took all night and the next morning the new computer would not boot. Reinstalled Windows 10 and ran it again - the same problem, destroyed the new computer so it would not boot. Asked Laplink for a refund and they would not issue one. Another lesson learned.

> 24 hourI was very hesitate buying this because, either the review was 5 star or 1 star. After reading a review noticing the far spectrum of the reviews said people must not be reading the full instruction. Well he was right. I followed the guide that you should print out and everything worked perfectly. Did it over my internet in half the time it said it would take.

> 24 hourAfter 7 hours PCmover proudly said Finished but my headaches have just started. I was puzzled, since it seemed to have fairly good reviews, thus it is important to get review out there. My first indication of trouble was that the wall paper from my old computer was not there - the screen was black. I thought, wow that should have been the easy part! What else did it miss?. Then checking my applications - icons moved, but none of them worked (Norton, Quicken, Office. etc..) I had to reinstall them - except, Norton said it was incompatible with Windows 10, and MS Office 10 would not activate again, so I had to purchase a new copy. The worst part is that the PCmover moved items from the old computer (I thought it would be smart enough just to copy them) rendering the old computer partially inoperable. So a humble warning, save yourself time ( in the long run ) move applications and data by reinstalling on your new PC.

> 24 hourI usually expect bugs; but it wiped out old windows updates. All the data and applications transferred. After 3 uploads it’s running smooth. I only expected a total transfer but it also detects vulnerabilities and wipes them out. It will also cleanup the old PC, but I’m not ready for that yet
