Bought this to transfer from my old computer to new one. Mover worked fine. Also included was safe erase to erase hard drive from old computer. Went away for a month and then tried to use safe erase and said had to put a code in again. Couldnt find the code and contacted them to get one I could use to erase. They said they couldnt do it that it was my fault I lost it so they tried to sell me a new code. I am not paying more money for something I already paid for. Customer service used very poor example why they couldnt do it. Not happy with them at all.

The ultimate version is now defunct. However, I called Laplink Support (Number on web site) because my new PC didnt have a disk player and I wanted to know what to do. The woman who answered did it all for me by remote access. I am a researcher with tons of files. The transfer took three hours, but I didnt have to anything but hook up the ethernet cord that comes with the package. She was fantastic. This was accomplished through two phone calls because we had to wait an hour for a new Windows program to download. She called right on time. The professional version replaced this one - BUT this one is a hell of a lot cheaper. My representative was fast, patient and knowledgable. It was so easy to do something I was dreading. I am on my new, large screen PC right now. My passwords transferred, Microsoft Office went through, my wallpaper went through - Everything I wanted except my virus protection, which she is calling back tomorrow to help me with, EVEN THOUGH SHE DOESNT HAVE TO! I am on cloud 9. For a lousy 40 bucks, I certainly got my monerys worth. This service will be around until all of this version is sold. Buy now and get it done the painless way.

Could not get to work with Windows 7. Transferring data from Windows 7 to Windows 10. The loading of laplink onto the Windows 10PC went fine but could not get to download to Windows 7.

Once you shut down “all” firewalls and virus protection programs on both PC’s, this works flawlessly!!! Highly recommend!!! Takes about 12+ hours ro complete!!! Overnight is the best time to process!!!

We recently bought new computers. This is the easiest and fastest way I have found to transfer programs and data from one computer to another. Very easy to use. My wife was really excited when she turned on her new computer and everything was there just like her old one.

I moved from a windows 10 computer to a windows 11 with a couple little issues. While it moved all my files and programs, pictures and music, my really old 97 MS Word and 97 MS Publisher didnt move well and the programs are unusable. Im not surprised considering they are 25 years old. I still like the ease and use of PC Mover and would use it again.

Easy and fast to use. Had to contact tech support, but they were very helpful, and gave me another install to solve the problem -- I hadnt disabled the anti-virus program, which is absolutely necessary. Love that it moves programs from one computer to the other without having to search all over my office to find the CDs for all my programs or, heaven forbit, have to purchase new licenses. I highly recommend PC Mover and will use it again when I change computers!!!
