Greater than one weekHad no problems at all getting the computers set up and load the programs and then the transfer was as simple as clicking the start process. I would use this system again when I get my next new computer.

> 3 dayIm giving the software a 5-star review but ending up purchasing 2 licenses because my initial digital download purchase through HPs store (for my new HP laptop and recommended by HP) took a whopping WEEK to get a download link from HP - so do NOT buy the digital download from ANY OTHER source - go directly to LapLink. When I did that after getting nowhere with HP I had another license purchased and the software downloaded the same day.

> 3 dayGoing from Windows 7 to Windows 10 was easy. Microsoft provided you with a built in process for transitioning your files from an old computer to a new one (you still needed to reinstall apps). This time, Microsoft has partnered with PC Mover to transition files. I ordered the ultimate version because it came with cables. I followed the directions and then went advanced. I transitioned everything (whether it was green or questionable). This actually was seamless and almost 100% perfect. I did have to reinstall a couple of programs (literally just 2). However, everything else has transitioned well. Ive been using my new computer for over a month now, and I have not had any issues. So, Id recommend using this to transition from an old computer to a new one. Youll be happy that you chose this option.

Greater than one weekThe only thing in the box was the cable. None of the numbers on the box was the license number or the activation code. The reason why I rated this item high in tech support is that when I called tech support, they were able to help me out. None of the numbers on the box that would have allowed me to download the software were real numbers.

> 3 dayI bought a new laptop and needed the files moved from one to the other. I looked online and found good reviews on Laplink PCmover. It was priced right. so I purchased it. It was easy to install and moved all my files in about 1 hour. Very pleased.

> 3 dayThis is the third time Ive used PC Mover and, like the first two times, the file transfer was flawless! The program did not time out or stall, despite moving over 4TB of data. With on-screen prompts to guide you through the process, it is so easy to use. I will use this software again and again.

> 3 dayI bought the professional edition for wifi transfer directly from the company which did not work. I kept getting error messages that the wifi was not strong enough, even though both computers were close to the router and I was getting a five bar reading on my cell phone and both computers. Ran for four hours with NO FILES moved. I contacted customer support. She had difficulty understanding my accent (American) and said that the sales division and support division do not communicate and that my license number was not able to be access by support...only sales. Very disappointing. Her solution was to spend another $50 to buy their proprietary cable to do the solution. Since my first $50 got me nowhere, I was not optimistic that another $50 would get me any further. All of this to do a transfer that windows used to do for free.

> 3 dayI actually bought 2 versions. The first version used the ethernet cable. I had to call their help desk. The ethernet cable was slow so I had to wait overnight for the results. The entire process did not complete, but not due to the software. I had bought a 1 terabyte standard drive with 128 gig SSD. The SSD is considered drive C. I did not realize it, but all my software had to transfer to drive C from the old computer and so it did not fit. I returned that computer and got one with just 1 terabyte drive. I bought a new version of PCMover, even though I was told I could call them and use the license from the old transfer since things did not work out. With all the help I got, I felt obligated to buy another version WITH THE USB VERSION 3 TRANSFER CABLE. A standard cable will not work. Also, through tech support, I learned I had to download a special driver for this cable. With tech support, I was able to complete the software transfer and the transferred software has worked remarkably well. Also, do not skim through instructions, else you will fail.
