When I got my new PC I thought it would be a breeze to just reinstall all my software and download all the apps I was using but found out that it would have probably taken me several weeks to accomplish this project. So I went online and reviewed several software packages that moved data from my old PC to my new one in just hours instead of weeks. After looking over several I decided on PC Mover as the one for me. Just wish it came with the USB connection. It is faster than bluetooth.

Old computer had one HDD, new one had smaller SSD and large HDD. Lots of file redirections made years of experience with file pathways a necessary asset for the transfer. Anyone hoping to plug-n-play in a case like this probably would have been stumped. Once all the redirections were set, all went well.

It took 18 hours to copy files from old to new computer

bought this to transfer my files from my old computer to my new one. Took forever and a day, but finally got it done. Now my new computer has a flaw and I have to exchange it for a new one. Should have just bought a portable hard drive the first time. I recommend you do the same. Not much more money, and vastly more usefulness.

I have used LapLink now at least 6 times and it keeps getting better and better every time. I had a 1T drive with over 100 installed programs, many with SW keys needed. Laplink moved every last one and in all cases I only needed to reinstall the SW key and it was up and running. I moved from W10 to W11. I only made one mistake and installed Thunderbird on my new computer thinking it would transfer the contents over. Should not have done that and let Laplink move the old one. I was able to recover by going into the Roaming and Local folders on the old computer and copy the data over. With that being said it saved me days of time it would have taken to reinstall all of those individual programs to my new computer. Worth every penny. JMHO

Some say that moving you applications can’t be done. Let me tell you that this program is all it’s said to be. Moved my programs from the old laptop to the new one, I had a lot of programs, in about 4 hours. It would have taken me much longer to install those programs and find those license keys. This program is absolutely the best way to move your applications/ programs from that old laptop!

Follow the instructions and you will be fine. On software such as MS Office, you will need an original source but the license will transfer. I had to locate the dvd I had used originally, even though the product was several versions old.

I purchased a new HP laptop. Having seen certain HP laptop that shipped with LapLink from another source, I purchased LapLink from Amazon. I installed as per directions but was unable to complete the transfer without calling LapLink. Lo and behold, the data on my old machine was so corrupt that their free troubleshooting would not allow the data to be transferred. However, for $99.99, they could remote in and repair my data. I complained and they lowered the fee to $69.99. The repaired my data and then ran the transfer over night!! I will give the LapLink folks credit for spending many hours on the phone trying to fix two issues that were resolved without their direct intervention. I am unlikely to ever use LapLink again.

It is easy to use and it Swiss what it is supposed to do without complications, fair price
