Laplink PC Mover has been a staple tool of mine for years. It has been a most reliable product to quickly transfer data from an old PC to new, but in addition, it copies programs, too. This has been a HUGE savings in time, saving more than the cost of the product itself. I recently upgraded a PC with 500Gb of programs and data using the Laplink USB 3.0 data transfer cable. It look less than an hour. Once transferred, all programs worked, although a couple required re-registration. Laplink PC Mover is a tool I regularly use in my IT business as well as personal life.

I used this to move my PC to another. Instructions were clear and easy to understand. It took about 2 hrs. I didn’t have to contact tech support but they were very helpful the last time I used PC Mover and got stuck. I highly recommend this product!

Bought the program to transfer files and settings from old to new Lenovo pcs. Worked the first time without having to call tech support. All files transferred in 2 hours as expected. Was able to transfer all settings and passwords, which I expected to be a hassle. Used wifi transfer without cable and it all worked well. Highly recommended.

I read alot of reviews on this product before buying it, and the reviews were very mixed. But it was the only game in town, so I decided to give it a try. It worked perfectly!! Took about 1.5 hours to transfer everything from my old PC to my new one, using the included high-speed Ethernet cable. (Please note, this is not a regular Ethernet cable, so you cant just use one you have lying around). Since it worked for me with no issues, I can only surmise that those with bad experiences didnt follow the directions. You should read the on-screen instructions available when you put in the disc. It has more detail than the paper insert regarding preparing both PCs --> you need to turn off any scheduled updates, power settings (like sleep mode) and firewalls. You also need to make sure both computers are running the same version of Windows. It is also recommended that you run a virus and malware check on your old computer so you dont bring the bad stuff over to the new one. So, there is some prep that needs to be done before the transfer, but if you do all these things, you will not have a problem.

Used the provided special CAT-5 cable supplied, left running overnight, was done by morning, everything seemed to be transferred, no problems since.

PCMover was incredible! It moved all my files and pictures perfectly. Their tech support was phenomenal! It took many hours to move my file and pictures but something happened about midway through and the transfer was stopped. The problem was at my end and nothing to do with PCMover. I called tech support and they took care of everything! The move was totally successful the second time. Tech support even called me to make sure that the move was done. I highly recommend this program and the terrific support behind it!

I had no issues with the transfer, I am on the Windows insider program and transfered Windows 11 using your product.

It is important to follow the instructions to the letter. I was careful to do that. Unfortunately I could never get the software to communicate with the ethernet cable but that could have been a computer problem, so I resorted to using wi-fi. This took about 5 hours to complete. I dont have real high speed internet so that is understandable and I didnt see that as an issue. Almost everything transferred without a problem. I did have to reinstall MS Office and my Webroot firewall software but everything else transferred. Very happy with the results.

Every few years, I have upgraded my old PC for a new one. I was always excited about getting a new PC - but I always dreaded that process of moving all my software, all my data, all my pictures, all my favorites, all my everything. That process has always been a total PIA.
