> 3 dayFollowed directions and nearly ruined my brand new computer. Its still a toss-up of whether it will boot or if i have to reset Win10 AGAIN! Maybe its the hybrid drive, but theyve been around long enough that Laplink should have warned of a potential problem. I had to clear my stuff off and start at square one and copy and download everything by hand: this program was WORSE than useless! DO NOT USE IT on your new computer.

> 3 dayThis is the second time Ive replaced a PC by using PCmover. This app makes the switch from an old PC using one OS to a new PC with a new OS as close to seamless as can be. All the data and applications from the old PC are moved to the new PC with just a few clicks. The only thing I had to do manually was switch the iTunes authorization from the old machine to the new. Everything else came up on the new PC without a problem. This is one of the few utility apps that works as advertised. (No, I dont work for Laplink and I didnt get paid for this. Im just very impressed that this app made a job I was dreading into a very simple task.)

> 3 dayI dont know which is worse, disappointment or the realization that one isnt as smart as one thinks. I could never get this software to work and could never figure out why. I finally just gave up. Ill eat the price rather than deal with some engineer. A big disappointment as I have been installing and using various software programs with many fewer problems since the early 1980s

Greater than one weekI appreciated PCMover when purchased a new desktop computer. What I appreciated the most is migrating the data in other computer to the new one without having to do it manually. The customer service is also great. Of course, some staff are better than others. One out of three I had positive experiences.

> 3 dayThis removed the hassle of having to reinstall everything when my old computer finally got slow after 7 years. Still had to upgrade to the new Microsoft products though (I had 2007 or 08, I forget...current is Office365).

> 3 dayUnfortunately this product never worked at all for me. I have spent 4 days trying. I called support twice. All I can assume is that my old computer is too old and problematic to transfer from. Bought the cable, even with help it would never see the other computer. Support directed me to save my file to an external hard drive. That have me error messages and never worked. I am of above average computer skill, it shouldn’t be this hard. Probably would be fine on 2 newer computers but that wasn’t what I needed it for. Waste of my money.

> 3 daySimple to use and only took 28 minutes to transfer all data and programs. Some of the older programs I had to use control panel, program to repair and everything works fine.

> 3 dayPretty nice item. The only way to migrate .exe files, now known as apps. It is tricky. You have to control firewalls and virus protection, but remain connected to the web in order to enter the all important product key. It is a single use item. But the best way to migrate one PC to another. I had to work at it, but I succeeded. And with the amount of data moved, I expected to work.

> 3 dayI used it to transfer the users and applications from an old 32-bit windows 10 PC to a new 64-bit windows 10 PC.

18-11-2024It took so long for the transfer but it did work fully. Cant complain too much for the price. As long as you are aware that this isnt very fast
