What a painful and difficult experience. Virtually NO instructions. Online support was clueless. My old laptop had two 2 TB hard drives. The new one had one 250GB SSD (C) and a 1TB hard drive (D). PC Mover was clueless as to what to do with that and so was the tech support. Despite my efforts to keep duplicate folders and files from happening AND to NOT transfer or install some programs, the new computer installed programs that I didnt want and installed duplicate/useless folders on the C drive. PC Mover did manage to transfer some applications over without incident and so I didnt have to re-register them all or lookup old serial numbers. Some programs it installed, but did NOT transfer my profile/ownership.

I lost the mini CD that came with the product, but LapLink provided me with another means of using their transfer product once I gave them proof of purchase. Their help was greatly appreciated. PC Mover Ultimate is a great product.

I purchased P.C. Mover when I bought my new computer. I have used this product previously on my last computer.

I purchased this to transfer data and programs from an almost dead laptop that only had 1 operational USB C port available so I couldnt keep it on the charger while transferring. It worked fine to transfer to a new laptop, but then the new laptop failed because of hardware problems unrelated to the Laplink product. I had to get another laptop and found I had to buy a new license since I couldnt transfer the data back to the prior laptop. At least they gave me a 25% discount on the second license.

Missed many apps...

Program will not load on my new windows 11 dell pc. No it does not have S mode activated nor is the security software running. Support response time takes 5 to 10 minutes between each response. I finally just gave up! Waste of money!

Used this product to download my data from my old computer to my new computer. Laplink PCmover made it a breeze.

In general, the migration went well. The single page quick guide does not have enough detail. I called laplink support with a question and the technician walked me through several other things that were required. She had me turn off the power savers, shut down everything in my antivirus software, turn off Wifi. She guided me through the whole process and did an excellent job.

When I bought a new laptop for my wife I did not realize that Microsoft does not provide a way to transfer everything including programs to the new PC. A search and some reading led me to believe that PCmover would do the job. The new PC has a 500GB SSD and a 1TB hard drive. The old PC has a 1TB hard drive. I wanted to have pictures and documents transferred to the hard drive on the new PC and everything else to the SSD. I used an ethernet crossover cable for the transfer. A standard ethernet cable will not work with a PC to PC link. The on screen instructions were clear but I used the online Chat to confirm that I was proceeding correctly. That was an efficient and clear confirmation so I proceeded. The entire transfer went exactly as planned and everything is working well on the new PC. Thank you PCmover for saving the day!

So, this product is great. as it turns out, I didnt actually need this, but they provided better, faster and cheaper tech support than Dell (where I purchased my computer from), and were able to help me manually migrate the files I needed. If i would have need to exactly mirror my computer, I would have surely needed this, and I would highly recommend it.
