Transferred both my files and my programs from my old computer to my new easily and (relatively) quickly for a TByte.

PCmover transferred my programs, files and settings fairly quickly. I used the high-speed transfer cable between my old and new computers. A few of my apps blocked transfers, so I reinstalled them. The help desk was fast and friendly. I used PCmover before, and I would use it again.

After 4 attempts that are supposed to take 3 or 4 hours I backed it all out and threw it away. Each attempt ran for 12 + hours. The instructions are pitiful and tech support is pointless unless you stop the load and contact them. If you are using a point to point USB cable for the transfer, you cant use the internet at the same time. It doesnt transfer applications (which is normal) but the rest is just easier to copy off the old system and dump to the new one. Takes a little more work and time but I wish I had just done this to begin with. Got a nice cable out of the kit but that was all. Sorry about the review but I wish Id seen a few like mine before I committed. Good luck!

Moving data from one computer to another is never going to be a stress-free experience. But that said, PCMover gets about 90% of it right. Be sure to follow the instructions about connection sequence and so forth. It moved all my data to my new laptop quickly. I had issues with a couple of individual apps that would not transfer, but this is an app problem, not a PCMover problem.

with the release of windows 10, windows EZ Transfer went away. It used to come with Windows 7. PC Mover was reccomended by Microsoft so when I just purchased my new Dell 5720 I went with their reccomendation.I will tell you it was easy to install, I did watch some videos on line before just to get familiar with it. It moved all my files over but I did call GO Daddy who hosts my Outlook Mail to :fix a couple settings, AOL to help me reinstall my account , Dymo to get my address labels, and finally Bose Sound Touch to relink my I tunes from my saved on computer . Even talked to PC MOVER tech folks and they all were helpful! all files were transferred but the above accounts needed further tweeking and I reached out. Must of been a slow day did not have to wait long to reach all the above tech supports! And PC MOVER is still much better than rebuilding your computer from scratch.

The only thing in the box was the cable. None of the numbers on the box was the license number or the activation code. The reason why I rated this item high in tech support is that when I called tech support, they were able to help me out. None of the numbers on the box that would have allowed me to download the software were real numbers.

I was able to move all my data and programs from a hard drive with out the need of the old PC

This software made moving my data from my old laptop to my new laptop so simple! I would recommend it!
