> 24 hourEXTREMELY disappointed. Ring will register the device and you can manually control the on/off for it, but you cannot setup schedules (supposedly you can if you pair Alexa with Ring, which I don’t want to do…I just want Ring standalone to handle my needs without Alexa listening in all the time). Returning mine! Will be getting Kasa HS103P3’s to just control simply. So sad Ring can’t schedule power outlets like every other competitor so I can leverage one solution. (this leviton smart plug is solid build though, so the product itself is good, just not as flexible to leverage in Ring and may have other limits with other hubs/systems)

> 24 hourIve installed over 40 dimmers, 13 of them become unresponsive to manual or zwave control and can only be reset via the circuit breaker or airgap. This in unacceptable behavior. No real solutions from levitons support team either. Stay clear of leviton smart switches go for lutron casetta, zooz or inovelli instead. I really wanted to love these switches but leviton screwed up.

> 24 hour09/11/17 Edit: * Restored the review to 4 stars -- the problem behavior I noted in the 08/31/17 vanished after a few days, and the switch now responds normally/quickly on the first try when using Alexa. 08/31/17 Edit: * Lowered to 3 stars after a few days of use -- when attempting to control this device via Alexa/Smartthings it often fails on the first try with the response Sorry, <device name> is not responding.. If I try again immediately, it works. Not sure this has anything to do with the particular switch, but currently none of my other devices behave this way. Original review: * Good price -- $35.99 which I purchased, free Prime delivery. * Staightforward installation -- though this is ZWave Plus, it doesnt appear to be any smaller than previous generation/competitor switches. Still tight to fit into existing switch boxes. * Paired easily with Smartthings V1 hub. * Much louder click in operation than older GE/Jasco switches installed in my home.

> 24 hourAfter many years of wanting to set up a smart home Im finally dipping my toes in the waters. Tried X-10 years ago and it wasnt very good so Ive been waiting for things to standardize and become less confusing. There is still a confusing variety of standards and devices out there but Z-Wave seems to be popular and supported by a number of manufacturers, with a large suite of devices. I went with the Samsung SmartThings hub as my controller. First thing to know is that there are now new (as of this year?) Z-Wave Plus devices out there. Go with these - they seem to have more features, can connect across longer distances, and have lower power requirements (important for sensors that are battery operated). I didnt realize this distinction and accidentally bought some older Z-Wave devices, which Ive swapped out now for all Z-Wave Plus. Regarding the Leviton Dimming Plug, they have been great so far (just had a couple of weeks). Simple to set up, and I like that you can disable the LED if you are using these in bedrooms. The plugs have been working perfectly so far. There is one downside, or missing feature, that keeps me from giving this a five-star rating. Apparently the plugs do not remember the last dimming level - they always return to 99%. This is disappointing and seems unnecessary - how hard could this be? Also, as noted, the default level is 99%, not 100%. Not a big deal and not noticeable in use, but why 99%? This seems arbitrary and odd. If it werent for these couple of small issues Id give the plug a five star rating.

> 24 hourThis review is for the Z-Wave switch. It seems that the reviews are mixed with reviews for the dimmer. The switch is either on or off, nothing in-between. The switch is working fine. I was not able to thoroughly check some of the features (such as 3-way or Z-Wave repeater mode) but the basic feature of turning the switch on or off is working correctly. My switch is connected to a Smart Things hub. The pairing instructions on the hub are at best misleading (read wrong!) but I dont believe that this is Levitons fault. Some people reported reliability issues but I only have one for 2 weeks... I am going to order more and will be able to comment on this later. Update: I know have about 10 of those in my house. They are very reliable. I came to Amazon to order more but they are now $60.28 vs. 41.95 at Home Depot.

> 24 hourI have tried z wave switches from Enbright/GE with no luck connecting to my Aeotec Smart Home Hub. These switches work first time.

> 24 hourI have department 56 on a shelf and have all the houses connected to the Leviton smart plug timed to go on at a certain time and to go off as well. I love the way it was so easy to program with my wink app

> 24 hourIntegrates well with My Ring Alarm Z-wave controller, and Alexa routines. Does not work on 3-way lighting circuits. Make sure you program this for the correct type of light....LED in my case.

> 24 hourIve tried a couple of z-wave dimmers including honeywell and inovelli, this dimmer is the most user-friendly so far since all other dimmers require you to hold down the paddle and let go at the desired brightness to dim lights which can be very frustrating to use. This dimmer has a dedicated dimmer paddle which when pressed, actually changes the dimming level of the lights by set increments. This is the best interface for these z-wave dimmers in my opinion since most of the time you would be adjusting the dimming through some sort of app, but the physical switch should still be simple to use. The dimmer paddle is perfect for when you just want the lights to dim or brighten a bit without really caring about the exact dimness. That being said this dimmer has quite a few flaws compared to its competitors and at ~$39 is actually the most expensive out of the bunch. 1. The thickness of this thing is insane. Its thicker than the innoveli LZW31 which is already hard to fit into a box. Theres just no way for me to fit it in my existing box and I would imagine that many people would have a hard time as well 2. The dimmer paddle increment isnt adjustable as far as I could tell. And if you keep dimming the light with the dimer paddle the lights will turn off which is annoying since theres already an off paddle 3. Im not sure if I got a defective switch but one of my lights was flickering when dimmed and I did NOT have this problem with other z-wave dimmers 4. Does not come with a neutral pigtail wire in the box, if I didnt have a neutral pigtail from another z-wave switch I had, I wouldnt have been able to install this. Very strange decision considering that a neutral connection is REQUIRED (maybe I received a returned item though.) I really wanted to like this dimmer because it was the easiest to use, but the ridiculous thickness and the lack of features means that my search for a good z-wave dimmer continues.

> 24 hourFinally, a z-wave switch that dims LEDs without buzzing or flickering. I tried Jasco (GE) and Homeseer and they either didnt dim enough, buzzed when dimmed, or made the bulbs flicker... or some combination. I havent tried the z-wave feature yet, but super happy that we finally have a switch to dim our fixture with 18 edison-style LEDs. Giving it 4 instead of 5 stars only because the feel of the switch and rocker feel a little cheaper than other switches, but they look great.
