> 3 dayI have been playing around with Z-Wave switches for years and have tried a number of different brands and models. This one was by far the easiest to install, yes you need a neutral wire, and the easiest to integrate into my system. I am running Home Assistant at the moment and the set up was quick and painless and has worked flawlessly for almost a year now.

> 3 dayThe first one I got I returned a couple days after installing it because the dimmer stopped working. I found that if I kill the power from the breaker for a minute and turn it back on, the dimmer would start working again. The replacement I got does the same thing, just not as frequently. Every couple months, the dimmer just doesnt respond to any input on the smartthings app or on the switch. It stays on or wont go on until I kill the power on the breaker for a minute and turn it back on again. Its annoying. I bought a bunch of light switches too and all those have worked flawlessly.

> 3 dayNot much more to add. Took it out of the box, plugged it in and had it up and running in time. Directions were pretty simple and correct. I am using it on a lamp and its automated with Alexa to turn on/off in the evening and with other commands.

> 3 dayWhile this switch looks ok it is far outclassed bay the marginally more expensive lutron caseta switches. The Lutron switches only work on their proprietary hub or with wink (which is what I have), but boy are they better. Installing these I noticed performance issues with the reception particularly. Sometimes it would be reachable, others no. I even extended the network with a plug in z wave device. While that improved it, I still noticed a 5% failure rate. Some of that may be attributable to the hub, but some of it I suspect is the switch. As others have noted, when removed and re-added to the network, it begins acting up. I would avoid and go with the caseta system.

Greater than one weekOn the positive side, this integrates well with SmartThings, and is a good, generic switch. I had one connected to two lamps (both relatively low power consumption, as both were LED-based. Maybe 5 watts combined?) After a few months, I started getting errors from SmartThings that my wireless connection was broken. Trying to use the switch manually, didnt work either, it had failed on. Stuff happens and the world isnt perfect, and it had seemed to work well up until that point, so I ordered the same unit again as a replacement. When I replaced it with the same unit and replaced the old one, I noticed a really unusual behavior. Both lamps were connected to a power strip, which was, in turn connected to the switch. When I would turn the switch off, only one lamp would turn off. My only conclusion is that this switch is not based upon a relay, but instead lowers the voltage to a level where a normal light would not power on. However, the voltage requirements for the one lamp were probably so low that it remained on whether the switch was on or off. Well, it worked well enough that I moved on to other more important things, and one week later, I got the same Wireless connection lost error in SmartThings. I am replacing it with a non-Lutron switch, as I have lost trust in the engineering of these units. This is disappointing because i had hoped that this would have been a more trustworthy brand.

> 3 day09/11/17 Edit: * Restored the review to 4 stars -- the problem behavior I noted in the 08/31/17 vanished after a few days, and the switch now responds normally/quickly on the first try when using Alexa. 08/31/17 Edit: * Lowered to 3 stars after a few days of use -- when attempting to control this device via Alexa/Smartthings it often fails on the first try with the response Sorry, <device name> is not responding.. If I try again immediately, it works. Not sure this has anything to do with the particular switch, but currently none of my other devices behave this way. Original review: * Good price -- $35.99 which I purchased, free Prime delivery. * Staightforward installation -- though this is ZWave Plus, it doesnt appear to be any smaller than previous generation/competitor switches. Still tight to fit into existing switch boxes. * Paired easily with Smartthings V1 hub. * Much louder click in operation than older GE/Jasco switches installed in my home.

> 3 dayWorks as advertised. Completely happy. It came with the light almond face plate. I installed and had it working with Ring/Alexa within about 30 minutes. Would recommend and plan to purchase again in the near future.

> 3 dayUse these for our ADT system for auto on/off scheduling. They well made and easy to use as long as you read the directions to add to your zwave network.

> 3 dayI recently completed an automation project where I slaved a ceiling fan to my AC blower unit in order to have it run when the AC is running to assist in home air circulation. I used the SmartThings Hub Gen3, the Aeotech SmartSwitch 6, and the Leviton Zwave Smart light switch (relay). All components integrated with ease, and setting up the automation events and logic were trivial. I also used the Samsung community IDE which allows use of community developed device handlers that allowed me to change the frequency of the power use reporting of the SmartSwitch 6 to 10 seconds. The system is working perfectly and reliably, I recommend these components for this type of application.
