> 3 daySo I have worked with numerous smart switches, some even that need to be installed, and this is the easiest to deal with. Dimming is smooth and doesn’t jitter, and setup was easy. I use smart things and that integrates with Alexa. Since it’s also dimmable, you can tell Alexa to turn on to a percentage. Anyways if you’re looking for an easy way to turn on and off lights and integrate some plug in lights to your smart home, this will make it easy! I got 3, I put one in my bedroom, one in my dog room, and one in my living room! Now my dog knows when I get home and has a light that turns on automatically when I’m gone.

22-11-2024Works well and pairs easily across network. No need to bring hub close to the thing to pair it. Dims smoothly. I have them on halogens and LEDs (different circuits) and both are smooth. Alexa integration through a hub (Im using Hubitat) works fine. Tested one for 2 weeks before installing more. 0 issues so far. Especially like that there is no delay when using the switch manually, unlike some other smart dimmers out there. They remember their last setting, and dimming control is via the small bar on the side. My wife, who hated the delay on the 1st brand we tried, likes these. Would be nice to be able to control the locator LED color. Its capable of red, yellow, green. Id pay extra for RGB or even just white, if it were offered. I did not find the instructions as clear as competing brands for use in 3-way or multi-way circuits. The concept is the same, and mine works fine, just spent a little while questioning whether or not I had interpreted them correctly. They are a little unusual in that the remotes with LEDs want a common line/hot connection. Note that these do not come with the extra pigtail wire for the neutral, and if youre installing 3-way or more, you may need a line pigtail also. Its available for about $0.25/ft at home improvement stores, but just know that youre going to need some. Overall 5 stars for a great and reliable product, but Id deduct 1/2 for those instructions if it would let me.

> 3 dayI installed 4 of these 8 months ago. One of them has now failed. I had reliability problems with a different brand that I installed in my previous house several years ago, and I had high hopes for this, but now Im worried these are all going to start failing too.

> 3 dayWhen all is set up, they work. However be prepared to remove the switches off the wall every couple of months to do a “power cycle” as the firmware that controls the z wave client will freeze and need a hard reset. Or at a kijikur reset your breakers to your home. It’s a real pain.

> 3 dayI have 2 Leviton switches and 11 Leviton Dimmers. 3 of the DZ6HD and 8 of the DZMX1. I just installed the DZ6HD and found that you cant configure it like the older dimmer switches. The older ones can be configured and fully customized thru the paddle itself. The advanced options on the DZ6HD such as Fade On Time, Fade Off Time and Preset Light Levels can not be programmed despite their instructions. Their instructions said they can be Configurable through the paddle as well as over the Z-Wave Network. However, the instructions dont tell you how to customize it through the paddle or how to do it over the Z-Wave network. I called their Technical Supoort and they told me that the instructions are wrong, you cant customize it through the paddles and there is nothing on the market that can customize those features at this time, not even their own app!. Why does this matter? For those that have these set on timers, schedules or link them to themes and have them set to dim, youll have to turn the dimmer up every time if you want full lighting. They will only go on as brigdht as the last setting. Also, if you like the ability to control how fast they fade on and off then youre out of luck in that regard also. I bought 3 of these units and cant return them. Im stuck with smart switches that are dumber than their previous version.

23-11-2024I bought a new chandelier with dimmable LED bulbs, and wanted a z-wave dimmer to control it. This one was simple to install once I read the instructions completely (first time through I miswired it). Pairing with my SmartThings hub was easy. My only complaint is that at low levels it sometimes flickers a bit.

> 3 dayThis review is for the Z-Wave switch. It seems that the reviews are mixed with reviews for the dimmer. The switch is either on or off, nothing in-between. The switch is working fine. I was not able to thoroughly check some of the features (such as 3-way or Z-Wave repeater mode) but the basic feature of turning the switch on or off is working correctly. My switch is connected to a Smart Things hub. The pairing instructions on the hub are at best misleading (read wrong!) but I dont believe that this is Levitons fault. Some people reported reliability issues but I only have one for 2 weeks... I am going to order more and will be able to comment on this later. Update: I know have about 10 of those in my house. They are very reliable. I came to Amazon to order more but they are now $60.28 vs. 41.95 at Home Depot.

> 3 dayFinally, a z-wave switch that dims LEDs without buzzing or flickering. I tried Jasco (GE) and Homeseer and they either didnt dim enough, buzzed when dimmed, or made the bulbs flicker... or some combination. I havent tried the z-wave feature yet, but super happy that we finally have a switch to dim our fixture with 18 edison-style LEDs. Giving it 4 instead of 5 stars only because the feel of the switch and rocker feel a little cheaper than other switches, but they look great.

> 3 dayI have two of these and they work very well with my Wink Hub 2. Setting them up in Wink is easy and they pair quickly. The internal relay emits a fairly loud click when you activate the outlet. I like that there is a small button on the outside of the case for “manual” control. They even work through several walls and in my garage where my Christmas lights hook up. Now the lights come on before we get home and my son loves it.
