> 24 hourLove the classic feeling of the mouse, it brings back memories of how confortable it was, sensor and software wise is up-to date, but is lacking some details that you have come to expect from current mice like braided cable an a little more weight to it (coming from a G500) but it is to be expected it is just a matter of getting use to it . Overall loving the mouse and hopping that it will last as much as my original MX510 (still working just fine after so many years)

> 24 hourI used a rendition of this the MX 510 in my old school counterstrike days. It is the same mouse but has higher DPI settings. I brought 6 of these in case they dont make them anymore and love them. The only thing I hate is where my pinky is is a little uncomfortable. Definitely worth it for old school gamers who loved the MX 510 one of my the greatest mice of all time. I would buy this mouse if you like old school gaming mice, it does not disappoint.

> 24 hourI bought a mx510 many years ago, I lost it one day and recently needed a better mouse for work. This filled the need and was a great price. Ended up being better and less money than last time I bought a gaming mouse! Very happy with the purchase. Lastly the ergonomics for people with large hands is the best. Often my fingers extend off the mouse buttons or I need to put my palm on the mouse pad or arch just to fit with the mouse. This one is made perfect and its made just for right hand so no awkward ring finger positions trying to hold on. Love my new Mx518!!

> 24 hourLets talk about the logo badge on the palm rest. The badge is placed where it sits in direct contact with my hand at all times while using it(12+ hours a day often as not.) It has a thin, fragile plastic coating- Ive had it less than a month and the edges are already wearing off. Under that plastic is a soft metal with no corrosion or abrasion resistance, on a part that is being rubbed by an acidic hand 12+ hours a day. The picture attached is of my G400s which this replaced- same chassis, same badge, and what happened with the badge- the metal wore through and formed a razor sharp edge, forcing me to pry what was left of the badge off and leave an ugly hole in the palm of the mouse. The same thing will happen to this one. Logitech doesnt use their own products and it shows really badly with an issue like this. Im thinking about prying the badge off now and filling the void with epoxy since Logitech obviously isnt going to fix this problem after at least half a decade Update! The coating already came off. Reminder I purchased this only a month ago. It was flaking off on my hand and when I tried to brush off the flaky part the rest of it just wiped off the smooth metal. Its thinner than saran wrap and cant adhere to the polished metal at all. The corrosion has already started. They actually even CHANGED THE LOGO they use on the badge, but didnt fix this obvious defect. Im just going to make this one star- the mouse is fine but that might as well be an accident with this level of carelessness. Make the palm smooth plastic. No badge. No metal. Reasons obvious.

> 24 hourBeen a big fan of the Logitech M510s for the ergonomics this is very similar but hardwired so no worries about batteries or where the dongle is, which is better for my gaming desktop. This largely met my expectations. Unlike the 510 scroll wheel is stiff and makes noise and lacks side to side function. Usable but coming from Logitech M510 my expectations where higher.

> 24 hourPros: -It fits in my hand perfectly. Ive used so many different mice over the years (Razer, Logitech, even the Intellimouse 2.0) and none of them ever fit my hand comfortably. I switch between claw and palm grips and this mouse accommodates both of my styles amazingly. -While the dented metal is indeed gone, the new plastic has glitter all under it which makes it look really nice compared to the old got hit by a baseball bat 500 times MX518. -Cord length is pretty long Cons: -The scroll wheel. Yeah, it has to said. Its not the worst one in the world and it works fine, but it just feels so awkward to scroll with this mouse half the time. Sometimes it works normally but other times it kinda feels like its scraping against something. (Edit: The scraping against something feel is gone. Wear overtime mustve fixed it) -The area where I rest my palm easily gets moist thanks to the new plastic shell, but its not really an annoyance to me. Id rather have the palm rest get moist over the thumbgrips (cough razer... cough)

> 24 hourI dont usually write reviews, but this was one I had to write. Sad that my mx518 that I bought in 05 when I was a kid started to die in 2016 or so I went to the G401 as it was the mx predecessor. And thats when I took a long break from gaming. When I came back I started to get used to the G401 and wanted to see how much my old mice was. When I looked it up, to my surprise I saw that they re-released my favorite mouse! And damn its exactly the same, but better sensors and better drivers. You can program every button (unlike before). Im almost tempted right now to buy another just in case something happens with the one I just bought... If youre looking for a comfy mouse for gaming, I would suggest this and not look back.

> 24 hourI have owned just about every mouse over the years for gaming. (Last used was the Razer Deathadder). I have also owned the original version of this mouse many years ago and it lasted me about 6 years. I can say with absolute certainty that this is the best mouse on the market at the moment. It is built just like the original, and feels exactly the same as I remember just with upgraded internals. What makes this mouse the best? The simplistic design with no frills.. Works as intended every time and is comfortable for extended use. Cant ask for more... Thank You Logitech for bringing back the best!

> 24 hourThis is the best mouse for my 7.5 inched right hand which allows every part of it to fall correctly on all critical spots for maximum control on the mouse, for me, a 1-2-2 grip with the ring finger draped over the right-side lip. Excellent improvements: 100 grams which is much lighter, Hero sensor which is the best in my opinion, Clicks which are louder but very accurate/tactile, Smaller wire seems more durable. Cons: the wheel is quite bad, but you get used to it and it does its job just doesnt feel assured in hand. The wheel is the only skimping Logitech has done with this mouse. Its the same side buttons which I think could be improved over the original designs MX518, G400, G400s, but eh, it gets the job done, but just not ergo enough and could have been improved (position and feel). I dont see any better mouse for the Large to almost Extra-Large hand. Otherwise, the lip on the right will probably bother you (as others complain about it, while I see it as vital to what makes this mouse so perfect), as will the index and middle finger buttons (my fingers fall perfectly on them - no overshoot or undershoot, its perfect! positioning FOR ME).

> 24 hourI have my doubts about these being legitimate MX518 re-issues, considering they were delivered in *ziploc bags*, but as long as they worked, it would have been fine. Not only are the buttons incredibly squishy compared to the several older versions I still have (and thereby can directly compare), but one of them just flat out loses tracking frequently. Ive never right-clicked accidentally more in my life than after I swapped out my older (but better) MX518 for this one. If you were using older Logitech software for the older models, they may not work for these ones. I bought two of them at once, one of them has the tracking issues, the other one has the squishy buttons with almost no feedback. Looks like an issue with quality control. Unfortunately I waited too long swap them out, or I would definitely be returning them.
