> 24 hourNostalgia in my hand. I had one of the 510s and knew I had to have this as soon as it was announced. Got it quick and hooked it right up. Pros: the shape is exactly as I remembered as the most comfy mouse Ive owned. Response is great and Im loving it so far. Cons: Material quality. The plastic is a little creaky and feels a bit cheap. Maybe keep the shape and improve the plastic on top? Also, I would have loved if they had added the scroll wheel that adjusts based on how fast youre scrolling. Anyway, its still a great mouse but with the plastic feel and old scroll wheel, I wouldnt have charged more than $39.99 for it.

> 24 hourIve been a Logitech fan for years now since I first started PC gaming. I wont lie I havent really tried anything else outside of Logitech but I do own just about every main mice in their gaming lineup. The G403, G502, G Pro, G302 and G300s. I always wanted to try the MX518 for its shape but never had the chance until now. I have to say this is arguably the most comfortable mouse Iv ever used. The shape feels similar to the G502 but it gets rid of the non essentials on that mouse and is much lighter. I very much like the old school look and the gloss finish is gorgeous and feels good to grip. Iv played FPS games almost exclusively my entire life. Battlefield, Overwatch, CS:GO, Titanfall, and now I mostly focus on Quake Champions and Apex Legends. The sensor is perfect in every way, thats not really surprising though since it is Logitech after all. The ergonomics are more suitable for medium to large hands, its definitely a THICC mouse and 100 grams isnt exactly the ideal for FPS but I dont mind it at all since the shape makes up for that. I had no issues adjusting from the 89g G pro going to this. Honestly this is probably going to be my main mouse from now on till I find a better shape but that probably wont happen. PROS - Amazing shape for medium to large hands (palm grip) - Solid construction in good ol Logitech fashion - Gorgeous aesthetics and finish (I dont care for Lamborghini flares or RGB) - Best sensor on the market - No braided cable (I cant stand brained cable. Theyre stiff, catch on everything and fray) - Logitech customer support (they have been amazing in the past) CONS - 100g is not ideal would have like to seen it around 90g - New Logitech G Hub software is not good, I much preferred old software - Doesnt give me Shroud aim

> 24 hourSo at a gaming convention in 2005 I received an MX518 as a prize for demoing a game. That mouse lasted me almost 15 years. In Dec 2019 I bought this mouse. After 6 months it started double-clicking on the left click occasionally. Logitechs RMA process is such a pain (they want like video evidence that shows todays date to RMA a cheap wired mouse with an apparently well-known double-clicking problem), that I just bought a new one assuming maybe that would be easier. Nope. I bought a new one in July 2020. That one was double-clicking a year later. So I buy ANOTHER new one in April 2022. It started double-clicking today. Im not buying another logitech mouse. Ive had other issues with quality and reliability with this brand and I think I just gotta try something else at this point. Super bummed because the MX518 has been my mouse for almost 20 years. Little odd the first one lasted me 15, and since then I cant find one thatll make it more than a year. Nice quality on your build there, Logitech! Also, your RMA process is atrocious.

> 24 hourThe original MX 518 was infamous in the days when Counter Strike 1.6/Source reigned as the go-to competitive FPS. The original served me well for many a year, and when the refresh was released it only made sense to give it a try. The end result is ok. The weight is slightly off compared to the original, and the sensor while good initially had some issues. Still a good mouse for those with larger hands that favor a right-hand palm grip, but doesnt shine nearly as much in the face of competition as it used to.

> 24 hourI have owned just about every mouse over the years for gaming. (Last used was the Razer Deathadder). I have also owned the original version of this mouse many years ago and it lasted me about 6 years. I can say with absolute certainty that this is the best mouse on the market at the moment. It is built just like the original, and feels exactly the same as I remember just with upgraded internals. What makes this mouse the best? The simplistic design with no frills.. Works as intended every time and is comfortable for extended use. Cant ask for more... Thank You Logitech for bringing back the best!

> 24 hourMy younger brother gave me an older version of this mouse years ago and it has lasted me many years until I decided that it was time to replace it and Im glad I did. My old one was still working, it just wasnt working properly anymore. So I purchased a used but like new one and so far so good. This was a purchase that Im glad that I did and when it comes time to replace this one, Ill buy another one of these thats for sure.

> 24 hourI have owned 3 generations of the mx518 and Ive always went to the next generation because I wanted a upgrade not because the mouse broke down. From the time I wake to the time I go to sleep, I can game on this mouse without any kind of fatigue on my hands. The sensor is precise and the dpi upgrade is great, I dont have to pick up and move the mouse like 3 times just to get to the other side of the screen. Logitech please take my suggestion and make a separate version of this mouse with 3-4 extra buttons, I use this mouse mostly for MMOs and several extra buttons would make the mouse perfect.

> 24 hourWhat was once the best mouse around - is now a creaky, noisy, mess. Upon arrival, the mouse wheel scrolling BACKWARD would create a loud grindy squeak sound. Extremely unpleasant.

> 24 hourEdit as of 2/18/2021: Double clicking has started occurring now Oh well it was goodish while it lasted. Ergonomics are fantastic, performance is predicable and great, gloss finish on the top is the doing of satan..... Im a clean freak of sorts, and when Im holding something glossy my hands sweat that sweat then dries on the glossy object making it not clean... the pictures above are after about a hour of use after cleaning it for me, if your not afraid to modify it and remove the gloss finish its 100% worth it. I am going to wait for my warranty to run out before i attempt to do so. Conclusion, other than the abysmal gloss finish (have no idea how companies think they are still a good idea) its a amazing mouse comfort wise and performance

> 24 hourThis mouse has the same finely sculpted ergonomics as the old MX518, but with a much better sensor. The body is a bit lighter, which isnt particularly good if youre used to filling up all the weight cartridges on the tunable mice, which is a feature this mouse does not have. The shell is identical to the MX518, but with different materials and a different finish. The sides are nice textured plastic. The top is an extremely high-gloss surface that is very eye-catching, but this is where my one gripe comes in. Who the heck designed this finish? The glossy, lightly adherent finish attracts skin oils like nothing else. I have literally watched the clickers on this mouse gum up in minutes, right before my very eyes. The only way to avoid instantly fouling the top surface of this thing with skin oils would be to literally scrub your fingertips with a pumice stone every morning. Did they even test this thing, and if they did, were they wearing white cotton museum keeper gloves the entire time? Disappointing.
