I dont normally write reviews, but this mouse is so much better than my old mouse I felt inspired to. I am not a mouse connoisseur, this is the most expensive mouse I have ever bought by a large margin, but I cant believe how much better of an experience it is to the bargain brand gaming mouse I was using before. I was actually very turned off and worried when I ordered since it does look quite bland, but I now realize that the design is for performance not looks. The shape is stupid to look at but feels amazing in your hand and the smooth surfaces are not as cool as blinky colorful mouses, but they are very easy to clean and give a satisfying grip. The clicking is infinitely more precise than my last mouse and that is why I got this mouse because the imprecision was driving me crazy. This mouse so far has been worth every penny. I havent had it that long so we will see how durable it is over time, but wow it has blown me away. Every problem I had with my old mouse is fixed and now enjoyable, 10/10.

Nostalgia in my hand. I had one of the 510s and knew I had to have this as soon as it was announced. Got it quick and hooked it right up. Pros: the shape is exactly as I remembered as the most comfy mouse Ive owned. Response is great and Im loving it so far. Cons: Material quality. The plastic is a little creaky and feels a bit cheap. Maybe keep the shape and improve the plastic on top? Also, I would have loved if they had added the scroll wheel that adjusts based on how fast youre scrolling. Anyway, its still a great mouse but with the plastic feel and old scroll wheel, I wouldnt have charged more than $39.99 for it.

I miss the marbled look that the original MX-518 had but this is still a decent upgrade of the original. It seems a little bit lighter than my original MX-518 but otherwise it feels good in my hand. If you have smaller hands this may not be the mouse for you though. Its very smooth to use and I like that it has higher DPI settings than what the original MX-518 had. It definitely has a snappier feel because of it. As usual the included software is a bloated mess though. Logitech uses the same software for all of their mice so theres settings for RGB lighting which this mouse doesnt have. If you have the RGB setting turned on and your PC has RGB lighting (in my situation my PC uses Mystic Light which is already terrible on its own) the Logitech software may conflict with the RGB software that you are already using and cause headaches. Whats great about this mouse is that you dont need the software if you just want to use it with the default DPI and button settings. The default settings are fine for me so thats what I did. Other than the bloatware I highly recommend this mouse for gaming and you can turn the DPI down low enough for more precision work too. Its not quite the same as the original MX-518 but it is a suitable upgrade worthy of the name.

And better than ever. I am not going to write a long review other than it is a great mouse. Sensor is accurate and doesnt do weird interpolation, smoothing or acceleration like some others do. Skates hold up well, clicks are a little loud though. If you are use to the MX518, G400 series, etc then this mouse will feel fine. Good for the palm grip people and weird finger/palm grip I have. Just be sure to use it on a good mouse pad. These sensor is VERY good. It will pick up things and cause your cursor to jump. If you have a good one, keep it clean. I recommend it be used on a hard mouse pad and not a cloth one. Glides smoother.

Who would have ever thought that after Logitech released the original MX518 back in 2005, there would be no other mouse like it?! The original MX518 has changed the PC gaming world by setting the standard of what a gaming mouse should be. I still have the original MX518 as well as the MX518se (2nd edition). Although Logitech have replaced the mouse over the years, none of them could ever match up to the standard of the MX518 until the release of the G MX518. The Logitech G MX518 has taken the standards set by the original MX518 and raised them to new heights! With the classic design and feel, along with a modern 16,000 dpi optical gaming sensor and a 32-bit ARM processor, this mouse has taken the crown as the new king of gaming mice of all time!!! Much credit to Logitech for listening to the PC gaming community and taking heed to rebirth a true legend!!!

its pretty much identical feeling to a G400s. Coming from that it feels the same. Within an hour I had forgotten I had a new mouse and I was just using it. I wish the anti-sweat coating from the G400s was still there, but if youre coming from an MX518 or G400, those didnt have it either. The soft touch coating feels the same as the one on the G400s, which started to come off after over 6 years of use. So I think the new MX518 might have that happen, but thats at least 6 years off if not more, and thats a long time. In conclusion, its nearly identical to the G400s I used before, and it is absolutely a worthy successor to this long line of mice. BUY IT!

I was heartbroken when my my old MX 518 died a few years ago. It was the greatest gaming mouse I’ve ever owned. Logitech absolutely nailed the ergonomics on the 518. I never found an adequate replacement. I’m not a fan of Logitech’s newer mice. They have great sensors, but very poor ergonomics with sharp edges and poor button placement. Someone at Logitech finally came to their senses it seems. The revamped 518 gives you the best of both worlds: the ergonomics of a 518 body combined with modern internals. This feels as great in my hand as I remember. Actually I think the build quality on this might be slightly better than the original. The sensor is definitely way more precise. Overall it’s even better than the old 518. Kudos to Logitech for actually listening and giving the people what they were wanting.

I wanted to try this style of mouse out after using the Microsoft IntelliMouse for years. My palm style grip makes this mouse uncomfortable to use, the most comfortable way I can hold this mouse with a palm grip is at a 45 degree angle counter clockwise so that my index and middle finger are over the right mouse button. If you have a claw grip this may not be an issue at all but for a palm grip the mouse just seems too small and at a weird angle. The thumb and DPI adjustment buttons are nice and the mouse appears to be pretty durable and made with good materials. I just recommend figuring out what type of grip you have before you buy a mouse because if youre a palm gripper this is probably not the mouse for you - Im going back to the IntelliMouse.

Call it what you want, the MX518/G400/G400S/MX518 Legendary keeps coming back for good reason: its a dead simple mouse with no frills and a whole lot of heft for those with hands on the larger side (And by hands I mean hand, lefties are left out on this design unfortunately) or those that prefer their mice to have some weight. Set the DPI to 800, turn the polling rate to 1,000 Hz, turn off smoothing and acceleration and youve got a mouse FPS junkies have been trusting for 15 years. As always, the thin cable is the weak spot on this line, but having used a G Pro for 3 years with the heavy braided cable constantly getting stuck on everything without it being bungeed up, Id rather just be gentle with a thinner and lighter cable. Pros: +Ergos, size and weight best described as Its chonk. Those with larger hands or those that like to rest their hand on the mouse will come back to this mouse like a long lost friend. This has to be Logitechs longest running gaming mouse both in years and number of refreshes. +Unlike the G Pro, that heft helps it to not be bullied by its cable. The thin, rubber cable also doesnt get stuck on things nearly as much as the Pros braided cable. +Sensors have been updated to Logitechs latest, but I cant tell the difference from my G400S or G Pro. You still dont have to worry about angle snapping. YMMV: #Logitechs G Hub sucks but thats not necessarily this mouses fault. Unless you need to be frequently messing with this or other devices settings, feel free to save your settings to the mouses internal memory and uninstall G Hub to save 250 Megs. You certainly wont need lighting settings or anything. #This is personal taste but the G branding is boring. Logitech had a chance to shout out the MX518s old Logitech logo on the mouse and with the included sticker but didnt. I do like the new glossy silver fade-to-black design and prefer it to the old 518s quicksilver design. Cons: -Ergos, size and weight best described as dated. Those with smaller hands, those that claw grip, lefties, weaker hands etc, will find that theyve purchased a brick with 2005s idea of what a hand should contour to. -The cable is still going to be what fails first. Its thin, rubber and connected to the mouse with only a bit of strain relief. Theres replacement cables and feet out there if youre in need. -The G400S had a kind of tacky rubbery feeling to its outer shell and sides? The MX518L is all glossy plastic and hard plastic on the sides. Not great for sweaty hands.

Im not really a mouse enthusiast, but I know what I like. I was using an old Logitech wireless mouse for work (at home), and it would cause me to develop pain in my hand if I used to for too long. I remembered I had a MX510 in the early 2000s and LOVED that mouse. So thinking I was being thrifty, I went onto a popular online auction site, thinking I could find one for dirt cheap... I mean who wants a weird shaped mouse from the early 2000s? $70 Starting price, $200+ New. I refused to pay that for a mouse (especially a used one), and settled on the G403, it was not the same as my beloved MX510 but it was A LOT better than the tiny Logitech I was using. I saw recently that there was a re-release of this mouse... I was thrilled. I waited patiently for the US version as I did not want to wait a month+ for one to be imported from Hong Kong. Wow, let me tell you... The design is exact. The feel is exact, even down to the rubber cable. I can use this mouse for hours on end, and never get pain in my hand. A lot of people hate this design, but I love it. I use it to game, and work, and it preforms flawlessly. I booted up Unreal Tournament 99 just for the pure nostalgia... Ive certainly lost my touch over the years, but the mouse felt just like I remember.
