Meta Portal TV - Big Screen Smart Video Calling for Group Calls on Your TV

After purchasing 3 of them for the family and using them for a couple of months I would absolutely Not recommend to buy it simply due to the horrible sound quality, constant cutting off of people talking, and inability to hear the other end. The video itself is good and really cool with the follow feature. However the sound quality sucks. You have to be right in front of it so it doesnt cut off every other word or third word. And even then it still has issues with cutting off people when they are the only ones talking and makes it difficult to have a conversation. You also cant have any other noise in the background else it cuts off the talking even more. My older parents love the video and ability to see each us, but we started doing video calls and simply use our speaker phones now for the talking which defetes the purpose of having the portal. Would recommend others choose different technology for video calls.

I like it when i want to listen to the music i just ask alexa i use it when i go to bed listen to the meditation sound.

My kids have used one for awhile and it seemed like a good idea. I got one on sale. Installation was easy. Its very convenient and it feels more comfortable and personal than staring into your phone pc, etc. Very good picture and sound quality. I like that it comes with bonus apps such as Amazon Prime Video and Zoom.

Absolutely useless. The tracking is slow and doesnt make sense. There is no way to turn the tracking off so the entire room can be in the conversation. The video is always dropping even with great internet.

Havent used this much, but its a great gadget.

I was expecting more from it. It does not do all the face characters as phone but does have great video chat quality. The alexa part is like have the original dot.... not much but voice functions I was hoping more like the show abilities

This is a very Facebook-centric device and plain unfriendly to use than other talk interfaces (ie WhatsApp). There is no way I would give this to my father. The user interface would kill him. BTW Did you know you need a cell phone to use messaging unless you choose the Facebook Messenger. Also, you cant use the Messenger option unless you have an FB account. Guess what, my dad wouldnt want to get entangled with his FB acct being hacked. He just wants to call his kids.

It was a great gift.
