Meta Portal TV - Big Screen Smart Video Calling for Group Calls on Your TV

Gifted this to my parents so they can look at a bigger screen when we do video calls. It does exactly what it needs to do, looks great and the portable feature is awesome. Wish the battery would last longer though.

Ours doesnt have a screen, battery, or touch screen. But I love it! Follows you around the room. To a certain extent.

We love our portal because it gives us time with our family. We love reading to the grandkids and watching movies with them. Great investment

The only thing that disappoints me is the fact that you cannot connect it to your TV. It would be great if you could view your contacts on a larger screen.

This product is very easy to set up as long as you have a Facebook super easy for my mom she’s older so we had a contact at the front of the screen for her to access them super easy great by for your parents or grandparents to keep in touch or even your children!!

My Kids love it. Have a step child that lives in another state and they call each other every night.

Bought this for my mother who lives 1,800 miles away. She LOVED it! Listens to her 50-60’s country music. Well, she has only had it for under 60 days and the speakers crackle so bad, you cannot hear the music or call anyone. Amazon will not allow a return. Facebook people are maybe me jump thru hoops simply to get a replacement. Horrible customer experience. STILL fighting to get a replacement. If my elderly mom didn’t like it so much, I would have said not worth it. Sucks too because if you have someone that isn’t tech savvy, poor eyesight, elderly, this is a great product.

I bought this for my 95 yo grandfather at the beginning of the pandemic. This was a god send during the pandemic as he was able to see peoples faces and know the world still existed. I set up a FB account for him and a photo album that would show on ambient mode. We lost my grandmother a couple of months before the pandemic started so it was really nice for him to have a constant stream of photos from his 73 years with his wife, pictures of his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, parents, pets, life long friends, etc. At some point, FB in its infinite wisdom and desire for everything to be about popularity, decided to select only 50 photos to show and it is based on an algorithm for how often a picture is interacted with. I made his album private so the only pictures being interacted with are the newest added pictures. I have been around and around with support and there isnt anything I can do to increase the number of photos. It has been great for video calling but the other features is has are not useful for our situation and I am now looking for a digital frame that I can add to remotely.

Ok I know this is for video chatting, that part works (just like my cheap android phone). But then I try to use youtube, amazon alexa, spotify apps and they work terribly. Slow response or stop responding. Youtube opens up a web browser and doesnt allow you to type in the search bar. So this will become a digital photo frame if I can get it to work that much. Disappointed!!! Oh, and add discord for chatting!
