Bought this as a Christmas gift for our daughter in law. She says she lives it

I purchased this so we could see my Mother-in-law face to face instead of just calling and talking to her. We call each week and that way we get to see her and know she is doing ok.

Portal is interesting. Facebook is the king of social media, so nearly everybody has a Facebook account and considering other platforms is hard because nowhere else is more of my social circle. Portal is the opposite... almost everybody I know has an Alexa device, and uses the Alexa Show for video conferencing. Sure, I can call people on their Facebook messenger, but most of my friends dont use that on the regular quite yet. If this allowed for full Alexa integration where I could call my family members Show devices, I think it would justify getting several of these. But this will probably be the only one I keep. After having for a month, Ive only used it once, and that person was like, Why are you calling me like this?

I bought this is July and just gave it as a gift to my Mom. It does not include an interface for Zoom as it advertises. Customer service referred me to facebook for help. They also wont let me return this new product, though of course that was not clear at purchase.
