> 3 dayI was skeptical about how different the Portal TV would be from other web style cameras. I was impressed with the Portal TV. It is more than a camera. It has apps that can be downloaded to it like Zoom and supports other platforms like WhatsApp for staying in contact with family and friends remotely. The Alexa support is also very convenient. The camera quality is very good and how it picks up the voice of who is talking and positions the camera slightly to focus in on that individual is pretty cool too. There are other cool built-in features that work with the camera as well, like a photo booth for taking pictures or making fun family videos.

> 3 dayI bought this to replace the echo show. Well, this device cant even function as a decent clock. The screen is designed to completely turn off after the device has been idle for some time. Max, the device screen can stay idle for 1 hour, and after that screen goes dark. So the clock and photos on the screen go dark after the device has been idle for more than an hour. One of the reasons, I wanted to have a digital display is to see the time, when I wake up in the morning or walk in the room. With the portal, you have to either touch the screen to bring it out of idle state or say Hey portal tell the time.
