I also got one for my best friend for Christmas!

Its remote stops working everything I have to factory reset it. There is a problem within its bluetooth connection in remote. I have 4 portal TVs and all 4 have same problem. Awaiting response from FB. Its really frustrating..

You can set it up anywhere in the house that you have an outlet. However it isnt something you can walk around with. This is really great for small kids & older people who dont really know how to use their phones for videochats or other things like surfing the web. It is also great for multi-taskers. The sound & picture is as good as your wifi signal. I have my set up in the kitchen that way I can watch videos or chat while cooking.

My 94 year old mother in law uses daily.

I dont what was intension of the design. Thought was good. But design team failed to develop best portal.

Dont waste your money. Overpriced and will be obsolete in a few months.

I have been away from family and friends for most of my life - that is the price to pay when leaving a country....so during the years I always invested in every possible thing to have a better virtual connection, 4K cameras, good microphones, etc. I have to say that Portal TV is really great and it gives a wonderful experience, it really looks like you are with the other person. The cameraman effect as I like to call it, is amazing. The camera follows you around the room and when you stop and you sit down for example and you start talking the camera zooms on you. This is really an amazing feature. I really like it, and I am using it on my 4K TV and the details are amazing.

Cant keep it on and always being forced to sleep. Cant even do a good slideshow.
