Greater than one weekWe installed four of these bars in our double shower. The only suggestion I would make is that they be knurled to make them easier to grip when wet.

> 3 dayFirst, you must locate two studs to install securely and for safety. If you cannot locate then hire a professional. After locating the studs, i applied masking tape on the wall so I could layout the holes. Unit is 18 inches but studs were 12 in apart, so I installed at an angle. You can install vertically if desired onto one stud. I have tile, so I patiently but firmly drilled holes big enough that the screw would fit through because I did not want to crack the tile when tightening.i drilled six holes, stopping after each one to check the next hole location before drilling the next. My rating is 4 stars because the polished brass color is close to a 14k gold color. It does not look bad, but the color is not the same as the polished brass fixtures throughout the bath.

Greater than one weekI got this for my mothers walk in shower. It is very sturdy and a nice looking, dull-finish white. Matched the shower very well. She didnt want the typical hospital stainless steel look, hence, the choice of white. Had some difficulty with studs not being where I needed them, and I didnt want to rely on the non-stud mounts for something as important as preventing a slip. Had access to the back of the wall and put in a couple of studs to secure the grab bar. Only ran into two small problems. First, the screws they provide are HORRIBLE. They strip easily. Seriously...take the time to get some better screws. Mark your holes and drill pilot holes because (here comes the second problem) if you use a drill to put the screws in, you might get too close to the bar and the drill will scratch the surface of the grab bar (like I did.) I couldnt be happier with the product though. And my 90 year old mother, who said she didnt need a grab bar, now says she has gotten very used to holding on to it while getting in and out.

> 3 dayConsidering the statistics stating that one of the major causes of injuries at home is slipping and falling in the shower or tub, I thought this was a wise move before I fell prey to this. I have a deeper soaking tub thats also a shower, and therefore the risks getting in and out are greater than average. It was ordered through Amazons web-site and the reason I chose it was because it was the cheapest of all the products in this category, in a brass finish. It arrived within 3 days of the order, and was packaged well. The grab bars covers over the mount were a bit difficult to remove, and needed a screwdriver to prise off. Youve got to do it carefully so as not to mar the finish, but the finish seemed pretty tough anyway. The mount provides multiple positions to position screws. It recommends that you use three screws each, but its kind of hard to find enough room on a 2 stud to put two screws side-by-side, especially when you have to first accurately locate the studs position using a sensor. This is probably the hardest part in trying to mount this on the tiled wall adjacent to the shower / tub. Otherwise, everything else went easily - just be careful drilling through tilework so as not to crack it. I used a hammer drill with a 3/8 bit, but first I covered the drill spot with a piece of electrical tape on which I marked the hole positions. Then go slow... After screwing in the bar, it was easy to slip the brass covers over the mounting plates.

> 3 dayInstalled just outside of a walk in shower. To give a bit of stability on both entrance and exit Good match to grab bars already in the shower

> 3 dayI had been searching for a gold handicap bar for a bathroom I just did over to match all fixtures. This one was exactly what I wanted and works perfectly where its placed & doesnt show when you walk in room. Only visible when you use the toilet. If properly installed it will work perfectly.
