I used the grab bar in tub/shower. The finish and quality of the product is excellent and nicely matches existing Moen polished brass hardware in the bathroom. Item was attached to ceramic tile wall, backed by plaster and concrete board. I found the supplied 2 screws a bit short for attaching to wood wall studs, so I went to 3 #10 screws. I would highly recommend using a 3/16 carbide tip drill for a ceramic tile application ...as opposed to the recommended 1/8 drill size which is too small. Only reason for not giving this product a 5-star rating is the Escutcheon Ring ...when pressed against the wall, it loosely fits. The problem is easily remedied by applying a small amount of clear silicon caulk behind the top 1/2 backside of the escutcheon. Overall, I highly recommend the product ... worth the cost.

VERY STURDY STAINLESS STEEL GRIP. Installed on a single stud with deck screws. Great price and easy installation. You cant go wrong here.

This is a wonderful product. It is just the right length to hit the studs. It was easy to install. It looks great. I weigh 235 pounds and put my full weight on both bars, and these bars remained solid and secure. My mom, who is now in her 90’s loves it! What is not to like?

I like that the mounting flanges have elongated screw holes, so that you can position the mounting screws where theyll do the most good. I was a bit disappointed with the paint job. It looked hastily done, with just barely enough paint at the ends to cover whats not hidden by the end caps. But once installed, the bar is sturdy and looks ok. To install this bar, youll want a stud finder to be sure youre mounting the bar securely. I installed this on a tiled wall, and a 3/16 glass and tile drill bit gave me suitably-sized holes in the tile. Once mounted, youll want to apply some bathroom tub and tile caulk around the inside of the end caps to keep moisture out. Now begins the test of time. Well see what condition its in in ten years.

I’ve used this before, but had to return this one. Good quality, and short for use in places where the person just needs a small grab bar to get them up off the toilet. It doesn’t have a textured surface, however, so I always mount them at an angle.

I got this for my mothers walk in shower. It is very sturdy and a nice looking, dull-finish white. Matched the shower very well. She didnt want the typical hospital stainless steel look, hence, the choice of white. Had some difficulty with studs not being where I needed them, and I didnt want to rely on the non-stud mounts for something as important as preventing a slip. Had access to the back of the wall and put in a couple of studs to secure the grab bar. Only ran into two small problems. First, the screws they provide are HORRIBLE. They strip easily. Seriously...take the time to get some better screws. Mark your holes and drill pilot holes because (here comes the second problem) if you use a drill to put the screws in, you might get too close to the bar and the drill will scratch the surface of the grab bar (like I did.) I couldnt be happier with the product though. And my 90 year old mother, who said she didnt need a grab bar, now says she has gotten very used to holding on to it while getting in and out.

It is strong and looks great in our bathroom which has brass colored fittings. I was able to screw it into the stud and it is strong. Since my studs are about 16 inches or so apart, I had to install this at an angle, which actually works well because different people may need to hold at different places. It did solve the need we had where our elderly relative needed this handlebar support to get up from the toilet.
